We are so excited to share this house with you! We have made sure it is stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Cripple Creek.
This original log cabin survived the great fire of 1896 as did the unrestored cabin in the back yard.
Bishops cabin has been renovated through the years and now offers 21st century amenities in a cozy rustic setting. Beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and great new beds.
Within walking distance to downtown Cripple Creek, enjoy the Butte Theater Opera House and unique shopping experiences, restaurants, gambling and Museums.
Take a tour of the fabled Mollie Kathleen Gold mine, a train ride back in history or tour active Gold mining operation which stilll produces millions of dollars worth of gold every year, located just 6 miles near historic Victor Colorado.
You and your kids will love feeding our herd of friendly donkeys descendants of the original “Rocky Mountain Canaries” which worked the mines at the turn of the century.
We are also close to fishing, hiking, biking trails, skiing and snowshoeing!
There are many activities and festivities for the entire family to enjoy throughout the year. Ice festival, Donkey Derby Days, Fireworks, Rodeo, Veterans Motorcycle Rally, madam Pearl Devere Day, Art, Gem and Mineral shows, Fall Festival, Ghostly gathering, and Gold camp Christmas. And all just within walking distance.
City Shuttle is also available with Grocery store, liquor store and gas station near by.

Home away from home! Very clean and comfortable. They thought of so many included extras that made our stay even more special. Hosts were very accommodating when I wanted to extend our stay, very welcoming. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

We stayed at Bishop's Cabin for a girls' weekend, and it could not have been more perfect! We enjoyed the fully equipped kitchen, the comfy beds, and all of the cute donkey decor! The little touches throughout the cabin are so sweet. We loved it!

This is a well managed cabin. It is clean and totally set up to be your happy place. Our family totally enjoyed our stay. Pretty much the best we have stayed at.There is a hot tub and a very comfortable patio and backyard.Spacious with a beautiful view of Cripple Creek. Within walking distance of everything including the donkeys winter pasture. Enjoy!

Absolutely wonderful and welcoming place to stay! Very clean and the Hosts were very helpful and quick in communication. Quiet place and within walking distance of several restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone staying in the Cripple Creek area!

Debbie always went above and beyond for all our requests. Home was perfect and very relaxing! Home was very organized and we had a very relaxing time while there!! Look forward to visiting again!!

We enjoyed our stay here. It was was clean and had everything thing we needed and then some. The cabin is very warm and welcoming, had lots of info on things to do in the area and decor to match the towns history.

Honestly, everything was great! We booked through VRBO, the owners reached out to me right away, asked us if we needed anything or had any questions. The property is 1 block off of the Main Street in Cripple Creek, but it is several blocks up from where the casinos and the few shops Cripple Creek has. The property was clean and spacious, very nice, well stocked, and exceeded our expectations!Cripple Creek is not like other mountain towns (Estes Park, Breckenridge, Manitou Springs…). It does not have the street lined with souvenir shops, ice cream/fudge shops (there is 1), restaurants (most of them you have to be 21) but it does have casinos, a lot of casinos! If you are looking for a place to relax, with great weather, a hot tub, donkeys to feed, and a train with lots of history, this is the place for you!

We have stayed at many VRBOs. This host couple exceeded our expectations. They communicated from beginning to the end of our stay. Everything was well laid out in the home. Detailed instructions for everything they offered with the stay. We enjoyed the beautiful decor through out the house and backyard. "Go Donkeys" Debbie put a lot of time and effort making us feel welcomed. She had everything needed to accommodate our wishes. She even made a special container of spa drinking water with oranges and lemon. She provided information about Cripple Creek and surrounding areas. Debbie went above and beyond and even found a massage therapist that was a true gem. The backyard is a quiet oasis that includes a hot tub, grill, table and deck to enjoy the birds and mountains. Perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening. We will definitely return. We appreciate all the energy and love they have put into this charming piece of history for others to enjoy. Thank you for your kindness! Tami and Bill Sluss

The house was very cute. I was decorated for Valentines. Our stay was amazing. Excellent weather and visiting the Ice Castles was very awesome.

My husband and I visit the CC area on average 2 times a year. This trip we stayed for the 4th of July holiday weekend. Before we arrived we found out the fireworks were canceled due to dry conditions in CO, which we respect having lived in CO for the last 20 years. When we arrived at the home it was so beautifully decorated inside and out for the holiday! It instantly made it feel like we were still going to be celebrating independence day! The communications with the hosts were amazing! Checking in with us, sending us a calendar of events for the weekend and just being friendly and engaging.The house is so comfortable and welcoming and we really enjoyed the yard with the very well kept hot tub and comfortable deck with grill. The home is clean, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Views and visits from wildlife from hummingbirds to deer and CCs famous donkeys (in the front yard) made it a very special weekend!We will definitely stay at this amazing property again when we visit the Cripple Creek area!

We had everything we needed and more. Stanly and Deb provided a very comfortable and enjoyable experience. The hot tub was perfect with towels and it was decorated beautifully for the season. We will definitely be going there again.

We had a great time. This is a great location next to downtown but had awesome viewes. Would recomend this location.

The whole property was so well thought out. The towels by the door for the hot tub, all the spices and kitchen supplies, the blankets and pillows everywhere.... it was all so lovely!
