We are so sorry to hear you felt as if you had a negative experience. Our paperwork, agreement or VRBO website, does not say anything about shoes not being allowed in our home. As for the golf carts, we personally service them every week between guests, no one else has had an issue with the golf carts all year long, nor since you departed. If you had simply reached out{our phone numbers were provided for you in your agreement as well as posted in our home}, we would have had a service tech come out or better yet we were in the village also that week at our other home, we could/would have came over immediately. We were not aware of any of these items, were not mentioned until after you departed. We always provide each guests, including you as well, with both of our direct phones #'s and emails, however we were not contacted at all during your stay. For the past 20 years, we have always encouraged an open line of communication with all our guest and will continue to do so moving forward. We thank you for your feedback.

I do wish to clarify one thing in your review so that future guests are fully aware of exactly what Oceanside Village has to offer. Our Gated Community sits on 180 Acres, has over 1000 residences, comprised of Modular, Manufactured and Stick built homes. We offer 24 Hour Security, Beachfront Parking, Oceanfront Restaurant, 2 outdoor pools, kiddie water play park, indoor pool, playground, tennis courts, ballfield, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, horseshoe pits, Bocce Ball and basketball courts, library, fitness center and fishing. Our sister property across the street has a golf complex, Par 3 Golf, Executive Golf Course, Mini Golf and Driving Range. Hi Cathie, We are so sorry you were not pleased with our home, especially since you did not even stay in the home. They say a picture is worth a thousand words and documentation is stronger! To you and anyone who reads this review/response, I am thankful we had a Professional Real Estate Photographer come to our home the WEEK PRIOR to your arrival and take the 40 PICTURES OF OUR HOME, which are posted on VRBO. You booked our home Oct 23rd at which time I provided our direct phone numbers and e-mails, for my wife and myself, as we always do for all of our guests. We communicated a number of times and in one or your e-mails you actually stated that you were recovering from surgery and would not actually be staying in our home, but you did live 3 miles away. I did speak directly to various of your family members throughout the week up until the day before departure and each person had nothing but kind positive remarks. I spoke directly to you on the phone 3 days into the week and you never mentioned any problems, issues or concerns. You had 5 months to request a personal walk thru, which you did not. The 40 pictures of our home are absolutely gorgeous. We take pride in our VRBO rental homes of 17 years, we do a personal walk thru of each home before and after each guest arrives. We want every guest and every family to enjoy our homes and return as many do, each and every year. Again, we are so very sorry you were unhappy with your booking experience. We are sorry you did not request a personal walk-thru of our home prior to your booking/arrival and we are sorry you were not able to personally stay the 7 nights booked in our home.
