Our large, meticulously renovated private home is art filled and furnished with our eclectic style. There are two bedrooms down with their own bathrooms. Two bedrooms upstairs share a bath. An additional flex space with daybed is upstairs as well. The beautiful gourmet kitchen is open to the living and dining areas. Although the house is not ADA compliant it does have wheelchair access on the ground floor. Our home is in the authentic Memphis. As we say, "Midtown is Memphis".

Wish we stayed longer

This house was very comfortable and we wish we could have enjoyed it another day or two. It worked out great for our larger group and it had everything one would need. The king beds and pillows were absolutely wonderful to sleep on. The only disappointment was the listing claimed there were 4 king beds but there are only three. Two twin beds in opposite rooms upstairs that were not comfortable to sleep on like the king beds. We were able to walk to a square nearby that had great restaurants/bars.

Great house & location

Wonderfully decorated and functional house. We enjoyed our stay as we hosted our son’s and future daughter in law wedding in Midtown area. We were close to everything and had a bedroom for each family member that stayed with us.

Beautiful Home!!!

We had a wonderful time at the Higbee house!! In a great location, just minutes from everything! The zoo, Bealle st, and baseball field are less than a 10 min drive. The house had PLENTY of space for our 8 adult guests. Theres also a splash pad thing right across the street that we enjoyed on our last night there :-) Stewert was very communicative with every step of the way. Thank you for making this trip so memorable!!

Graceland trip

This vacation rental was amazing. It looked exactly as pictured in the listing. The neighborhood was lovely. The park across the street would be perfect if there are young children in the group. We have been renting and staying in vacation rentals for the past 25 years. This was the best accommodation I have rented. It was perfect.

Best part of our time in Memphis!

I cannot say enough great things about this home, the host and the midtown area. If you are traveling to Memphis, this is where you should stay. This home is immaculate - clean, well stocked, top notch decor, comfy beds and linens, nice, safe location....the list goes on and on. 10 minutes from Beale Street if that's your thing. Cute coffee shops and restaurants are a short walk away. The kitchen is fantastic for cooking breakfast before you start your day. Both a keurig with provided coffee service and a regular pot, lots of hot water for two families and their showers. All around one of the best VRBO experiences I've had and we stay in many properties around the country. Thank you for sharing your home on Higbee!

Best property ever!

I have stayed in many rental properties, and this one easily was the nicest. The home was gorgeously updated, meticulously maintained, and spotless. You can tell that Stewart has put much love into this home. My extended family was in town for a funeral. Stewart graciously ensured we could access the home early after a long drive in, and that my mother could access the back entrance of the house to avoid navigating the front steps. He was woking next door so introduced himself in person. And he left ample instructions for the home so we did not need to bother him during our stay. He has thought of every possible amenity to leave, from baby gates for the stairs, to makeup wipes in the bathrooms. And the neighborhood is very walkable. If the house were available for our next visit we certainly would stay there. If it is available for your visit dates, you should jump at the opportunity as well!

“Girls’” Getaway

Five of us (from 5 different states) retired to the East TN mountains and became great fun loving, curious, lively, adventuresome friends. I wanted to show them the best of the city I called home for 45 years, and Higbee Place was the perfect spot! Centrally located, safe, beautifully appointed and comfortable home. Now my CA daughter wants to bring her friends! Host was extremely accommodating! We want to return! We all Highly recommend.

Amazing home in a great Memphis location!

This home had everything you could ask for. Spacious enough for 7 guests. Quiet neighborhood. Convenient location to all points of interest. Beautifully decorated. Well maintained. Fully stocked with towels, blankets, toiletries etc. Would recommend it in a heartbeat! Stewart was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Thank you!!

Friends in Memphis

We were a party of 6 adults gathering to spend time with one another as we all live in different cities. Memphis does not disappoint. Plenty to see and so many great restaurant choices. I think our favorite though was the Higbee house! A beautiful and comfortable place to gather and visit. We have rented many VRBO houses over the years in many areas. This house is the star. It was by far the cleanest we’ve stayed in, good beds, linens, kitchenware, great location and a gracious host. We will meet here again!

We stayed at the Higbee House for my daughter's wedding. I could not have imagined a better place. The house was comfortable and inviting. It was immaculate! The neighborhood was lovely and walkable. One of our party was mobility impaired and this house worked well. The host was wonderful and very responsive to any requests. I highly recommend staying here with family and friends!

Comfortable, roomy and nicely renovated

Beautiful old home with first class renovations. Great kitchen. Lots of things provided to make a pleasant stay for a large group. Easy drive to downtown. First rate communication with owners. Highly recommended!

Wonderful House

Very good welcome from Stewart. Big house with spacious rooms, huge kitchen and cosy living room. Very, very clean. Close to everything. We really appreciated this loving place. We were a group of 6 people and we all said we wish we could bring this house back with us to France. We highly recommend.

Amazing Property in Memphis

This wonderful house is beautifully decorated, in a quiet and safe street, very close to fun restaurants/nightlife in Cooper-Young and the owners are just great. Nothing but great things to say about it!! We didn't want to leave!

Match Day weekend

Outstanding house in ideal location!!!! Convenient to UTHSC and restaurants and walks to Overton Park. The home was just like pictures but even better! Super clean, well stocked kitchen, plenty of linens, storage galore and super comfy beds, as well as easy and plenty of parking in the driveway and on the street. The owner was super friendly and quick to respond- even stopped by to say hello. Wish we could stay here again in May but not surprisingly they are already booked.

Great Place to Stay

Wonderful home for our 3 day stay!

This home was perfect for our weekend stay! We had 8 people in total staying with us, including a 6 month old baby. At no point did we ever feel like we did not have enough space. The baby even had her own space and accommodations that were available at the home already. The house itself was so beautiful and cozy, we even enjoyed some sun in the backyard. We couldn’t get over the interior design. The home was very clean and beds were so comfy that we had to take pictures of the pillows to order some of our own! It’s very conventionally located and in a nice area. All appliances were readily available and easy to use. Thank you for hosting for us!

Wedding weekend

We were in Memphis for our son's wedding. The stress of a wedding, and all that goes into it, goes without saying. It was nice to know this property was stress free. It was spacious for the nine of us, clean and in a good location, close to restaurants and the highway. There is a small park across the street which was convenient. The only downside was it was close to some train tracks that were noisy at night. Overall a very good experience.
