SUNDAY TO SUNDAY RENTALS ONLY DURING SUMMER PEAK SEASON. Log cabin offers three levels, all with spectacular views of Main Lake. The main level offers an open floor plan with high ceilings. Lots of windows and hardwood floors throughout. The main level has an open floor plan with kitchen/dining/living room large flat screen TV, full bath with tub and two bedrooms. One bedroom w/queen bed, the second bedroom has a set of bunk beds, a daybed with
pop-up trundle and a full size futon. The main level has a large wrap-around deck with two patio dining tables, two couches and matching chairs, two swivel rocking chairs, and gas grill. Upper level has loft area w/sleeper chair, master bedroom with king size bed, a youth bed, a pack-n-play, and full bath with shower. The lower level has a large game room with professional pool table, custom granite bar, sectional sofa, flat screen TV, full size refrigerator, two bedrooms w/queen beds and full bath w/tub. The basement level has slate floors throughout. The walk-out basement has a patio ample seating, The rental price is based for a maximum of fifteen (15) persons. An ADDITIONAL CHARGE of one hundred dollars ($100.00) PER PERSON per week or $25 per person per day with a limit of 18 guests. The house provides beds for fifteen (15) guests. Air mattresses may be rented IN ADVANCE ONLY for $15 for a single or $25 for a Full/Queen or you may provide your own. The boathouse/dock has rope lighting, ladder, storage closet with life vests in assorted sizes, floats and noodles. TWO KAYAKS AND ONE CANOE ARE INCLUDED FOR YOUR FUN AND RECREATION. The property is located on deep water for boating, swimming and diving from pier. The semi-private beach area features a graduated sandy bottom which is excellent for small children to swim and play. SUNDAY TO SUNDAY rentals are WEEKLY ONLY during SUMMER PEAK SEASON. FOR LARGE FAMILY REUNIONS, WEDDINGS OR FILM LOCATIONS, please call for pricing. Pet fee is $25 PER PET/PER DAY. We had a lovely stay! I appreciated the super speedy communication with the host for any questions or concerns. Tons of do between the waterfront with all the toys, the pool table, and lots of games. Definitely would come back!

Lovely property. The bathrooms needed a better cleaning. Host was very accommodating.

Thank you for letting me know. The guests that were at the house the week before you left the house in terrible condition. It took my cleaning lady twice as long to get the house back in livable condition. Sorry for the inconvenience but she did the best she could in the allotted time under the circumstances. She is usually very conscientious.

I wish that linens were included for the price, but that was our only real complaint. Neighbors are also much closer and more visible than I realized from the photos, but they were unconcerned with us, so it worked out just fine.

It’s a nice property but is older and needs some maintenance. The boards on the dock are designating. The boards on the deck are coming up and the nails sticking out. The beds need new mattresses. The door to the basement needs to be adjusted bc it doesn’t shut all the time. The ice maker didn’t work. We had a good time overall, the lake was beautiful

Beautiful home, great location, nice boat dock area. Home was very clean and well taken care of. Owner was easy to work with and quick to respond. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful Property
Our group had a wonderful time during our weekend stay. The property was gorgeous, well stocked and exceptionally clean. Booking was super simple and the property owner was very easy to communicate with. We would love to go again.

Excellent stay!
Great location and host was fantastic! It was even better than we expected. The house accommodated 8 adults easily and was extremely comfortable and cozy. Access to the water was a bonus as several in our party were over 65 - they were able to walk without much difficulty. We hope to be able to stay here again soon. What a wonderful getaway!

Perfect for large family
We come to Lake Gaston every 4th of July. This house did not disappoint. Lots of bedrooms/beds, tons of outdoor seating, and a beach!

2021 vacation
The property was very nice, right on the water. The owner was so nice to work with. She accommodated all our needs.

Log cabin paradise
The house was beautiful inside and out. Everything was very organized, neat and spotless. Loved the sand area to park the boat and jetski until it was time to get back on the water. My family really enjoyed staying at this home for a week it felt like home. We are looking forward to staying there again.

When I decorated the house I wanted my guest to feel like they were in their home rather than a hotel. Every year I try to add new things and update the old. I hope you will make The Dam Crows Nest you "go to" vacation get away.

Family and friends reunion
We have stayed at this house 2 years now. It is exactly as pictured, clean, and the owner is very responsive to questions. We enjoy the location.

Great stay
Nice to have bathrooms on every floor. Swimming off the dock was great. Pictures were accurate. Only misleading item was it stated it sleeps 18 but the price per night is based on 15 and then the add on for each additional person.

There are enough beds to sleep 15 guests. If guests want to bring air mattresses, I will allow up to 18 guests…. Thus the charge for extra guests.

Perfect Weather!
Love all the life jackets available! The sandy beach is great for little ones. We lucked out as the water temperature was perfect for swimming and floating. Lots of fun jumping off the dock and also having a campfire. We played charades on the deck with the nice outdoor couches.

My family and I purchased the property in 1970. Because of an abundance of crows in the area and the dam is visible from the property, hence the name "The Dam Crows Nest". Until 2012 there was a 60' house trailer located on the adjacent property. I live in Virginia Beach, VA which is approximately two hours from the lake. My grown kids and I decided to build the cabin in 2012. My oldest son did all the tile, slate and stonework in the house and my other son built the deck. My forte is decorating. I hope you will enjoy our "Little Piece of Heaven" and will come back year after year.

We were invited to a friend's cabin just around the corner. We fell in love with the lake. Before the weekend was over we we knew we wanted our own place. We were shown this 1-1/2 acre property and fell in love with it. The property is located on a large point on Main Lake which wraps around to a private sandy cove beach. The log cabin main floor has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other has a set of bunk beds and a daybed with pop-up trundle (total 4 twins) and a futon (double bed size). Washer and drier located on main level. The master bedroom on the third level has a king bed and a low youth bed, and a sleeper chair in the loft. The walk-out basement floor has a built-in granite bar, regulation pool table, televisions, sectional sofa, extra full size frig., full bath, two bedrooms, both with queens. The entire basement has slate floors. The basement level patio has ample seating. Cook out on the propane grill while enjoying the beautiful view off the large deck on the main level. Pet friendly! Sunday to Sunday In Season. 1 King, 3 Queens, 5 Twins, Futon (double) and a Youth Bed (sheet provided). Pillows and blankets provided. Storage cabinet with additional pillows and blankets. Four bedrooms have flat screen televisions, the other a standard tv.. The bunkbed room has a standard television that has cable and plays VHS and DVD's. Main floor living area has a Blu-Ray Smart DVD player. Air mattresses are available for rent. Must be rented prior to arrival.

The boat house and pier has a view beautiful view of Main Lake and the dam and is located on deep water. The perimeter of the boat house has led rope lightening. The boat house also has one-of-a- kind special led colored lighting. There is nothing like it on the lake. Bring marshmallows and enjoy making Smore's while sitting around the fire pit. There is also a regulation horseshoe pit for your enjoyment.
