Private apartment in the mountains

Hummingbird Hill is located at 4000 feet in western Carolina mountains and is the perfect quiet mountain getaway. Your apartment has a private entrance and deck overlooking a pond. We are minutes from Lake Glenville and High Falls. Cashiers is just a 20 minute drive. It is a studio apartment with kitchen and bath with walk in shower. In addition to the king size bed if you are traveling with children we can provide a cot and portacrib.

You can’t go wrong here! Wonderful accommodations:- bed SO comfortable - shower wonderful - kitchen includes every amenity you might ever need- gorgeous setting with beautiful porch with comfy seating Host is gracious and accommodating. Five star!

Lovely Escape

What a wonderful, quiet retreat! The host is very kind and generously shared eggs from their chickens! Lovely garden to enjoy and relax. Nicely located not too far from town/amenities, but tucked away from the road and noise.

Relaxing Getaway

Debi was very nice and accommodating. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the king size bed with plenty of pillows. Beautiful secluded property but still close to trails, waterfalls and stores. Dog friendly.

Great little getaway

My husband and I were thrilled to get away and see some of the local waterfalls. Debi is very kind and I think she’s thought of everything. It’s the little touches that make a rental feel more like home. Would definitely stay again.

Relaxing getaway in the woods

Our stay was brief but very relaxing. The space is private and well appointed with a full kitchen and king size bed. The TV could be a little larger but we really didn’t watch it anyway. I would recommend this location and would come back again.

Relax on the mountain and discover this place

Delightful Mountain Get Away

Breathtaking views, comfortable and homey accommodations, beautiful night skies and delicious Hummingbird cake are part of the package at Hummingbird Hill. Take the time to wander the property and surrounding area and you will find surprises at every turn. Every once in a while, you land on a vacation rental you won’t soon forget and this is one of those!

Heaven on Earth

Debbie, you could not ask for a nicer host or person. She wants you to be comfortable and to enjoy. Her Garden is spectacular with all the hard work she puts into it. Everything from the cake, berries and the hospitality was wonderful. A piece of paradise on earth! Much enjoy our stay.

Exactly what we needed

Debbie was awesome. She gives you specific instructions on the location, pay close attention to the details (the gps took us their fine), but being that far up in the mountains cell service is spotty, so the driving instructions are valuable. Room was great, clean and exactly what we needed. Would stay at again. Communication was top notch. Thanks Debbie.

Just Amazing

Could not have asked for a better stay. Debi was wonderful. The property was better than the listing. The perfect place to decompress and unwind. We WILL be back!!! And will recommend to all of our friends!!! From 1 to 10, this stay was a 15!!!

Anniversary Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this location. Debi, the host, is very welcoming and very ready to make every aspect of your stay great. Fresh eggs were provided and offered on our second day. The area is very well kept and many beautiful waterfalls are nearby to explore. WiFi is available, but can be spotty. That was not a big deal for us as we wanted to see the beauty of the area. Follow Debi’s directions to the place as they work much better than following your typical app methods.

Debi's place was a slice of heaven. Every photo in the ad was correct. Her gardens were exceptional & peaceful. I stayed 8 nights & could have easily booked a month. From riding horses, hiking & writing I was at total peace. Weather staying for a day or more it's totally worth it. Thank you again Debi for sharing your beautiful home with me.

Ms. Debi was very gracious & helpful. Property is nice & cozy but was a bit too isolated for me. If your looking to disconnect from the world & enjoy some alone time this is the perfect place for it.

The gardens are of the fairytale variety. My host greeted me with a warm smile and let me know that if there was anything I needed I could simply ask- but, no need as every detail was addressed. The accommodations were charming and oh, so comfortable. Hummingbird Hill was not only the perfect place to unwind, it was balm for the soul.

Debi has created a slice of botanical paradise at her property. The location is lush with plants, flowers and singing birds (and chickens) to seranade you. The apartment is comfortably and beautifully appointed with a comfortable king bed, fully appointed kitchen (minus oven), dining area and a very nice bathroom. You can sit on the deck and chill on the chaise lounge or enjoy the two person swing as you peruse the landscape. We plan on a return stay in the fall. Highly recommend!

We couldn't make it after all...but Debi was incredible to work with!!!

Unfortunately after many changes, we couldn't stay! We did not ask for a refund due to our last minute change.During the whole process, Debi was wonderful to work with. I will definitely be booking with her again when the need arises!CB

Beautiful, Comfortable Place

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay. Debi was an excellent host. She was very welcoming. We had fresh eggs from her chickens, blueberries and juice for breakfast. Her property is absolutely beautiful with gardens to walk through. We will definitely book with her again! Thank you!
