We had a wonderful week. We sat on the porch and watched the fishing boats come and go and had dinner out there with a view of spectacular sunsets every night. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were roomy and comfortable. The four of us have been taking a week every summer for 8 years at least and this was our favorite place!

Overall it was a fantastic stay and exactly as advertised! Super cozy place, easy check-in, and responsive host. Bring fans if you’re visiting in the summer!!

Such a cute and charming stay — we absolutely loved the house, and the view was even better in person! Check-in was a breeze and communication was top tier the entire time. The only downside was a few spiders, but it’s an older home and we were likely some of the first guests of the season, so nothing we held against them. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Mackerel Cove

Charming cottage with an incredible view of the bay. We enjoyed the close hikes and the short distance to the lobster pound. What a memorable vacation!

Great time!

We had our first family vacation here since my son was born during the pandemic! It was amazing! The view was great, the house was lovely (the beds were SO comfy) and we had so much fun!

We checked in on Tuesday afternoon and Checked out Saturday.Enjoyed a very relaxing week in a little cottage that overlooked the sound with Lobster boats coming and going through the day.

Stunning view

We had a wonderful time at this cottage. We spent most of our time on the porch, nicely equipped with a comfortable patio set and a porch swing. The beds were supremely comfortable, and the house was clean. Great location, close to everything.

Sherrill’s Cottage

We had a Nor’easter the first 4 days at this charming cottage, but we stayed warm and enjoyed good food and family as well as a magnificent view from every window. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable and kitchen was well stocked.

All what I hoped we would be!

Very nice property with a spectacular view. The property was clean and comfortable. Very cozy, and charming. Most every room had a picturesque view.

Dog Friendly Getaway

Bailey island was perfectly quaint. If you’re looking for something a bit off the beaten path, this house is perfect! Being October, the few restaurants in the area had more limited days/hours, but there are options if you plan accordingly. This was our first time in Maine and being able to sit on the porch and overlook the water and the boats was great. The house was well stocked and dog friendly.

The best place ever. Cottage is just like the pictures with a priceless view of Mackerel Cove. Sunsets are beautiful. More beautiful colors than than the larger Crayola box. Exceptionally clean with very comfy bed linens. We were traveling with another couple. We loved the cottage so much that we decided to just enjoy it with reading, making puzzles and watching the Cove on our last day. We were suppose to do a day trip. We highly recommend Sherrills for your next getaway.

Fall in Maine

Unfortunately, we missed the fall colors but overall we had great weather! The house worked well for us.
