This stunning property was everything we hoped for! Private, peaceful, comfortable and relaxing. We absolutely loved everything about this place: Gorgeous views of surfers & sunsets, the sound of the waves, very comfy bed & furniture, great layout for indoor/outdoor living, well-stocked kitchen, convenient location. Best view on the island

Amazing house, located right on the water, about 30 min south of Kona Airport, with everything you could want in a vacation home.

Relaxing beach house

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful beach house. We spent a lot of time on the back covered porch enjoying the ocean and watching all the surfers, swimmers and boats. The house was conveniently located to lots of activities but far enough away that it was very peaceful.

Wonderful stay, thanks so much!

Spent 10 days at this house, it was exactly as described. Clear communication before I arrived, easy to check-in, and clean well-maintained property. The back deck is absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed the sunsets each evening. Definitely would stay here again, very much worth it!

Amazing Location

Most relaxing 7 days I have had on vacation. The back porch has the most stunning oven and sunset views on the Big Island. Everything you need in the kitchen is provided for you.

So sad to leave!

This house is near perfect! The location made it so easy to explore the island! The view from the back porch can take your breath away as the sun sets. We were so lucky to have found this house!

Beautiful ocean view

Hale Lula is a beautiful home with the most outstanding view of the Pacific Ocean. The kitchen was lovely and well stocked. We enjoyed the barbecue pit and dining on the front porch. The furnishings are very nice and comfortable. Luva was nice to work with.

Amazing view with constant sound of the surf. Beautiful sunsets nightly. The lanai living negates the road noise from the front.

Magical Home

Sunrise to sunset this home is spectacular! Going to bed and waking up that close to the ocean was a dream. It's close to the road, but the ocean is louder than any passing cars. The walk to the nearby beach park couldn't have been easier. And the KITCHEN, wow, the best stocked kitchen we've ever had. A truly special place.

Our stay at Hale Lula o'Nai'a was wonderful. The best element is the location: it's right next to the water, with "the best" lanai, and steps from two different beaches, and about a mile away from a grocery store. The hosts are very communicative and we were able to get in and out easily. Cons are limited but there is one important one that kept my review from the highest rating, and that's the lack of comfortable chairs on the lanai. There are rocking chairs, which are nice, but the rear end can only handle so much. It would be amazing to have reclining, cushioned furniture to lounge in and lay on, so the views move from amazing to heavenly. That's the biggest gripe (and it's minor). Other small cons are that the lawn maintenance crew came in the morning and made plenty of noise for about an hour... we didn't get a heads up on that one. Also, the check in is not until 4pm and check out is 10am. Yes, 4pm is standard, but so is 11am, and perhaps offering a bit more grace helps the visitors enjoy the day fully (especially since the check-out list asks guests to do some cleaning work with bedding, dishes, trash, etc.). In general, this is a great property for a reasonable price (even with just 2 bedrooms), and I'd recommend it to others. It's best for a couple (or couple 1/2) but the waves, views of the water, sunsets, and lanai are well worth the stay.

Perfect getaway for solo trip!

Perfect for solo travelers that don't want to deal with a whole mess of people in a hotel. Loved waking up to the sound of crashing waves and planning my day on the lanai with a cup of coffee. Snorkel and surf is just a few steps away at Kahului Bay. I was greeted by the property manager Adriana who made sure I found my around the house. Looking forward to coming back!!

Great view with crashing surf. We saw whales jumping most afternoons

Well laid out house with great amenities. The view is beautiful and the kitchen well stocked. It’s important to note that each bedroom has a private ac but no ac in the common areas. There are lots of breezes and we were not hot but it can get a bit humid .

Fantastic Oceanfront

We absolutely loved this home. Unreal location - feels like the ocean is all yours. Super convenient to stores, restaurants, etc., but also a great launching spot for off-grid adventures. It is right on Ali'i Drive, as others have noted, and at times you will hear traffic; but the wall provides decent privacy and most of the time any road noise is canceled out by the sounds of the surf. Management was awesome to deal with. Really a great spot and we will happily return.

Amazing Property in Great Location

We could not have asked for a better property to visit during our stay on the Big Island. The deck is even better than the photos! Amazing sunsets, calming sound of the ocean, and a warm breeze all the time. The kitchen was well stocked, shower had amazing water pressure, and the bed is comfortable. The location is great to visit the entire island, close to restaurants and the airport while feeling like you are on a private island once in the house. They even had beach chairs and towels to use, which was so convenient. I’d return to the Big Island again for the sole reason to stay at this home again!
