Floating Cabin at Steele Creek Marina--CAN NOT BE DRIVEN

During Dec, Jan, Feb, and Mar, minimum rental time is 4 nights.

We have a lovely floating cabin with 2 bedrooms (1 bedroom and 1 loft), 1 bath, full kitchen, dining table, living room, front porch, and an upper deck balcony located conveniently near the front of the dock in Steele Creek Marina. We are located in a little slice of paradise on Kerr Lake. The area is peaceful and offers a serene atmosphere. Walking trails are throughout the property. There is plenty of wildlife to see from blue herons, a variety of ducks, catfish and turtles to feed, many deer, geese, etc. A gazebo with a fire pit is nearby. This property is rented as a floating cabin only and stays docked at all times during rental.

Other rentals available on location are pontoon boats, paddle boards, and kayaks (single and tandem).

Awesome houseboat

The houseboat was perfect for my friends and me. Large open gathering area and big front porch. Kitchen had all the necessary stuff to cook. We will definitely be back!

Amazing Trip

We loved the houseboat. Other slip owners were kind and engaging and respectful. Everyone was helpful. We loved kayaking around. Trip to remember.

Great Houseboat

This houseboat is great! It exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, had everything we would need. The AC units blew very cold, which we needed because the summer heat was hot. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the marina were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. This place is a must try. You will enjoy it.

Weekend Getaway

The only reason I did not give overall 5 stars.....the shower head needs to go. The shower would be so much better with a removable shower head. Everything else was wonderful!!!

What a great location as a fisherman it worked out great. We caught lots of catfish.

Good place to stay

Had a family gathering in the nearby camp ground and marina. Locals were all very friendly accommodations were well maintained and clean.

Peaceful getaway

Second time staying in the little house boat. It’s so cozy and the area is so quiet and peaceful. Loved being able to have a slip for our boat too for further enjoying the lake.

Would have been nice to list that we need our own sheets and towels in the listing. Also shout have been give the gate code to enter at night after 9:00 with out having to ask.

Boathouse

My brother and I really enjoyed our stay. All the other boat owners were very nice and made us feel comfortable. I was able to work around the Wi-Fi by using my phone as a hotspot. The back door doesn’t lock and the shower mat needs to be changed. Other than those few things, it was great and would definitely book again. Thank you!!

VERY relaxing

Will definitely come back. Property is Kerr lake not Gaston. Wifi is basically non existent so don't plan on it being there. The property is great so wifi isn't necessary

Awesome Weekend!

We came down for the weekend and had a great time! Make sure you bring a set of Queen size sheets. From the moment we got there, everything was great. As each day went by it only got greater. From the fishing off the back (caught 3 large catfish), swimming off the back of the boat, to the late night power outage that caused everyone on the pier to come out and start talking. This led into a community gathering that was amazing. Everyone on the pier were welcoming and fun to hang out with. We didn't want to leave this little heaven on earth. We plan to schedule another longer weekend soon. Thanks to everyone and the owners for all their assistance during our stay.

Short stay at Steele Creek Marina

We liked the property. For some reason Vrbo keeps referring to it being located on Lake Gaston. It is not. It is on Kerr Lake. It is a nice, spacious property floating at Steele Creek Marina. It allows for a unique experience to enjoy the wonderful views that may only be obtained from such a location. There are beautiful sunsets, sunrises, and a grand display of lights at night from the neighboring vessels. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly which also made our experience more enjoyable.

PERFECT GETAWAY!!

Betty Lou and Marie were so pleasant to deal with. We had such a marvelous escape in the houseboat and the all day pontoon boat rental and kayaking really was a great way for us to relax. Thanks Jill for letting us stay. You all are wonderful!!!

Very enjoyable stay

The marina is nice and clean. The other tenants on the dock were very friendly. The accommodations were as described. There is a good variety of dishes, bowls, pots & pans, silverware, cooking utensils, trash bags & cleaning supplies. We brought our own bed linens and bath towels. I never found a dish towel and the check-in folder said we were supposed to provide our own small green propane cylinder for the gas grill but fortunately there was one there with enough gas to cook our burgers. I would definitely recommend this rental for a relaxing getaway.

Amazing Experience

I cannot say enough good things about this place. It was incredibly clean, the view was amazing, and the communication with the property manager, Jill, was excellent. Jill made us feel welcomed, responded quickly, and gave amazing directions. It was a great place for a quiet, peaceful, relaxing weekend, which is exactly what we needed. We will stay here again, without hesitation. I highly recommend this place.
