Sitting on just about a half acre, this 1960 mid century low profile A-frame house boasts 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, a den, and a living/dining room adjoining a kitchen with a small eat-in area. This throwback to a hipper time provides two outdoor spaces: a screened in porch for those scorching Atlanta summer nights and a small tabled patio under strung lights.

The den and living room have pull out sofas to accommodate two more people easily. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan as well as the den. The two smart televisions, connected to the secure WiFi network, provides entertainment along with the Bang and Olufsen stereo! This home offers quality linens and bedding. Technology such as nest thermostat, digital door lock, security system and camera have been installed. The rear yard is fully fenced.

The home is located only a few short blocks to the restaurants in East Lake or Oakhurst Villages. Downtown Decatur & Kirkwood village are only a short drive away. We can accommodate visitors coming to town for events related to East Lake Golf Club, Emory University and area health centers such as Emory or Dekalb Medical. Easy access to public transit and I20. The home is not listed on any other rental sites.

Comfortable home in Decatur.

The house is located on a quiet,residential street. A short distance from Oakhurst with several restaurants. Easy parking in the driveway. Nice bedding. We did not use the kitchen but it appears to have all the necessary appliances. Furniture in the living area could use a bit of an upgrade. We would stay here again.

Surprise guests

Overall, the property was clean with most all traveler needs met. A porch project with removed outdoor rug remnants on floor seemed to be in progress. Our understanding was the house had been closed-up for some time. We sprayed Lysol to combat the closed-up smell which took care of the problem. We encountered surprise guests with a common GA pest problem, promptly addressed by the owner.

MidCentury Oakhurst

This is a lil gem in the Oakhurst area of the ATL. Beds are comfy with nice hotel like sheets and pillows. The interior is artfully designed. Kitchen is quaint with everything you need if cooking. Easy access to local restaurants and coffee shops. We took taxi from airport and walked everywhere as we were there for a birthday party five blocks away. We wd definitely stay there again. One suggestion us for us ladies to have a small table in bathroom to set our makeup bag(s).

Super, completely as advertised

We came to visit our daughter, the location was perfect. The house was lovely with lots of thoughtful considerations. The most important aspect; wonderful beds and linens, we slept like newborns. Enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and look forward to returning. Thank you

Last minute planning

Luckily we were able to find this place at the last minute after an unfortunate cancellation by another property. And we couldn’t have been more pleased! The beds were great! Excellent walking neighborhood with fun, local eateries.

Spring break with the kids

Nice neighborhood and close to downtown but far enough away from the congestion. We visited downtown and a couple other things in Atlanta, very easy to get to everything from there.

Loved our stay!

Love the mid century feel of this home. The space was comfortable and clean and worked great for us. Nice quiet neighborhood with some fun restaurants within walking distance. The host was very responsive and great to work with.

Great location, clean and comfortable

Had a weekend stay to do a little sightseeing/shopping. This little place was perfect. Location fit our needs well - within walking distance to coffee/restaurants, within easy driving distance to downtown and midtown. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the den worked well as a 3rd bedroom. All in all, I'd definitely stay here again.

Very good location for golf tournament

A nice 60s mid-century house that was within walking distance of our event. The owner was very accommodating to our needs and very responsive. Enjoyed having an additional den to relax and watch TV.

Clean and homey!

The property was clean and homey. While it says kids are welcome it’s not a kid friendly place necessarily. For instance there were little decor figurones that resembled parts of male anatomy and it was random and didn’t go with the decor at all. We were informed there wasn’t infant materials so we were aware to bring that sort of stuff but even with that in mind pI don’t think this is very young kid friendly with the decor, breakables, etc., also I’d highly suggest treating the yard somehow for mosquitos they are very bad even mid day. I will say this is perfect for a family with teens! It is plenty spacious and the den closes providing privacy. A huge plus! Also, the yard is fenced in and the enclosed patio is so nice! and finally as a chemical free family we were sooo happy to see all the plant based natural products in the home! I definitely would stay here again with my husband just maybe not with my kids! :)

perfect girls weekend for 6

We drove and flew to ATL for T Swift concert. Butch and Mike were so accommodating to our needs! We loved our stay at their home. Beds were comfy and house was clean. Walking distance to coffee shop, brewery, farmers market which we spent out Saturday at. At night we drove to Decatur and had dinner and walked around.....loved the Vibe!!! we hope to be back and stay at their home again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great house, great location

The house was very nice. The location was great. The beds were very comfortable. I was able to very easily hook up my Roku in the TV room. The patio was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at this cute cottage. Everything was as described. We came to Atlanta for the Steelers vs Falcons game. It was conveniently located near some friends and the MARTA stop. Two Thumbs Up. Here We Go Steelers!!!
