This felt like our home away from home. We did lots of hiking, the Corning Glass Museum (which was fabulous), Cornell Botanic Gardens, a brewery, and winery! The location was perfect for Ithaca and Corning. The place was very well equipped and even had lots of extras. Thank you to the Mills!

Beautiful apartment exactly as pictured, very comfortable, had everything you could’ve imagined needing on a weekend getaway. Half hour from Watkins Glen & Buttermilk Falls State Parks & about 40 minutes from Taughannock State Park. Perfect location and beautiful, scenic drives to all of our destinations.

We had such a wonderful stay here! The place was absolutely charming—beautifully designed, cozy, and perfectly situated in the countryside near Watkins Glen and Ithaca. Everything was spotless and so thoughtfully set up, with little touches that made it feel extra special. The Nespresso machine was a total treat in the morning and we loved relaxing by the fireplace table out back in the evening. The host was incredibly kind and even offered us fresh eggs from their chickens, which was such a sweet gesture. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful and memorable getaway!

We stayed here three days while taking our daughter to Cornell and doing family orientation. The location is about 20 to 30 minutes from Cornell, but it suited us OK for that and did not mind the country drive in and out of town. The host is very aware of everything you could need, and the home is stocked well. We had bought some food from Wegmans for a little bit of meal making, and the host had left us some zucchini, peppers, fresh eggs, and basil which added to our wonderful morning breakfast before the move-in day. We were so thankful for the spot to come back to yes yes, my poop, and rest every night. Very cozy and welcoming!

This is a quiet place in a beautiful location. We were visited by many colorful birds, a chicken and a deer! This place has everything you could need if you want to cook, which we did. There were many nice touches, including fresh farm eggs. There are no steps to enter and it was very comfortable. Many thanks to our hosts. We highly recommend!

Beautiful and quiet! We we're greeted with a welcome sign and fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Gorgeous view and friendly felines named Penny and Cheddar also greeted us. We didn't want to leave. We dropped our 1st born off to college and this was a retreat on our way back to our other 2 kids. We loved it. Beyond clean and they really thought of everything. Right down to what birds were at the bird feeder with a bird book guide. We highly recommend this rental and hope to go back.

The apartment is exactly as posted. The accommodations are beautiful in a lovely setting. The hostess provides a well stocked kitchen and supplies. I am always extremely pleased with my stays!!

Finger lakes getaway

Place was very nice and very well thought out, everything we needed was readily available. Alicia and family were very accommodating and helpful. It was a nice relaxing getaway, and a very enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone considering staying in the area. Thanks again Mills family!

Best vacation rental!

This rental property is hands-down one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. It was absolutely spotless—something I especially appreciated as someone who’s usually anxious about cleanliness in hotels. The hosts, Alicia and Fred, were incredibly kind and attentive. We happened to visit during a heat wave in New York, and Alicia checked in with us multiple times to ensure the space stayed cool and comfortable. Every aspect of our stay was flawless. If you’re planning a trip to the Finger Lakes region, this is truly the perfect place to stay. And without a doubt, if we return to the area, we’ll book this place again in a heartbeat.

Quick Stop

My boyfriend and I stayed at this lovely cozy place for one night. Alicia and Fred are super friendly and helpful. The space is perfect for 2 people. Lovely thoughtful touches all throughout. Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we didn’t get to see the amazing sunsets but the view was still spectacular! Would def stay here again!!

This apartment is not only in a beautiful setting but also well stocked with everything you might need. Alicia made sure that the kitchen had supplies needed to cook or barbecue. Same goes with toiletries. It is definitely a wonderful retreat!!

Perfect Stay

We loved our stay here. We were pleasantly surprised by how cute it actually was in person. (Sometimes listings can be deceiving, but this place is just as charming as the listing shows). It was super clean and plenty of space for two of us. We met hosts Fred and Alicia and they were super kind. Absolutely no complaints!

Our stay at Sunset View

Hosts Fred and Alicia are very welcoming. They are readily available if we're in any need. The kitchen has everything we need for cooking. There is even a gas barbeque on the deck though we didn't take advantage of it. Van Etten is a driving distance to quite a few Finger Lakes attractions - Corning Glass and Rockwell Museums, Watkins Glen, Taughannock, Butter Milk, Treman State Parks, Cornell University and Cornell Botanical Garden...We enjoyed our stay at Sunset View and thanks again to Fred and Alicia for their hospitality.
