Quaint lake front home, with closed in sun porch, decks, and spacious yard. Rails to trails 2/10 a mile away. Wedding venues close by-The Pennsylvania Farm at Cottrell or on Birchtown Stables. Full kitchen and dining room. Lots of counter top to prepare and bake cookies. Tables to enjoy meals outside on decks or near lake. Enjoy local flavor meals from Cables General Store- sit outside by the red caboose and creek, eat at the Speakeasy Restaurant or Beacon. Discount for 7 nights or a month. Observe eagles fly across the lake, deer in the yard, a blue heron fly by, and a zillion stars in the sky on a clear night.
Lake is stocked with fish so bring your fishing rod. Ski at Elk Mountain. Close enough to ski for hours then pop home for a home cooked meal and go skiing again. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the night with sounds from nature.
Enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, walking, fishing, golfing, (read a good book by the lake), stargazing, or just sitting for a break! Park your car - and enjoy the area.For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have two external security cameras located on the front doorbell and over garage door that capture only the outside in front of front door and driveway.

Spacious kitchen, bedrooms, and deck. Lovely view of the lake with easy access. Quiet and beautiful. I highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Great stay for a few days to relax. Host communication was great and directions were clear. The area, property, and lake were exactly what we needed. Fish were active and the tubes were floating! We are looking to go back.

As in previous visits, our long weekend at "Ski Elk Mountain, hike, walk or bike Rail to Trails, fish, or star gaze" was exceptional. Karen is a great hostess, who provides a wealth information related to the area and is very responsive to questions and concerns.

Was a very nice weekend getaway. We fished caught a perch big boy! Granddaughter went in the lake even though it was cold. House was easy to find nice drive! Will definitely stay again!

Host was amazingly accessible for any little question. We had to leave early for incoming bad weather blizzard and owner answered within minutes. Beautiful home - new kitchen and very clean and welcoming. Loved it here. If we need lodging again we would definitely come again.

Karen’s house was perfect for a ski trip to Elk mountain with our kids! The home was easy to access, had everything that you need inside and Karen was quick to respond to any questions. It’s a quick 5-8 min car ride to the mountain and we were easily able to have groceries delivered for our stay. We hope to stay again next year!

Great Rental wonderfully stocked with everything needed to relax and cook very clean. Lake in the backyard was beautiful bald eagles, owls fish highly recommend Rental . Provided extensive information on the town and local restaurants.Great time

Very clean and quiet. Has all the amenities you need. Wanted a quiet relaxing weekend for our anniversary and it’s exactly what we got. Fishing was excellent. Lots of pickerel and bass. Would stay here again!!!

Great location
We were up for a weekend ski trip. This was the perfect location. 10 minutes from Elk, and 10 minutes from all of our favorite food/bars!

Nice getaway for a couple of days
We were greeted on arrival by the host, who was very accommodating throughout our stay. The house was inviting, comfortable and equipped with anything we needed. We tried several of the recommended eateries, and enjoyed each of them! Great place to stay if you’re looking for a house by the lake!

Nice Location
A beautiful property on a beautiful lake. Well equipped home on a great lake-front lot with dock. Good restaurants and wonderful scenery.

Very clean and great location
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and communication with the owners was great. We walked down to the lake at sunset and the view was beautiful. Would definitely visit again

Annual reunion of long-time friends.
This was our 3rd stay at the Rails to Trails Lakehouse. Although the weather was cold and wet, we had a great relaxing weekend and even caught a few bass.

Memorial Day weekend
We had a great weekend at the lakehouse. The property is well maintained and the Klemens are a fabulous couple to work with.

Serene mornings by the lake
Cozy house with good patio and outdoor setting by the lake. Hosts were super hospitable and waited almost an hour to greet and show us around.
