Quaint lake front home, with closed in sun porch, decks, and spacious yard. Rails to trails 2/10 a mile away. Wedding venues close by-The Pennsylvania Farm at Cottrell or Birchtown Stables. Full kitchen and dining room. Lots of counter top to prepare and bake cookies. Tables to enjoy meals outside on decks or near lake. Enjoy local flavor meals from Cables General Store- sit outside by the red caboose and creek, eat at the Speakeasy Restaurant or Beacon. Discount for 7 nights or a month. Observe eagles fly across the lake, deer in the yard, a blue heron fly by, and a zillion stars in the sky on a clear night.

Lake is stocked with fish so bring your fishing rod. Ski at Elk Mountain. Close enough to ski for hours then pop home for a home cooked meal and go skiing again. Roast marshmallows over the fire pit and enjoy the peace and quiet of the night with sounds from nature.

Enjoy skiing, hiking, biking, walking, fishing, golfing, (read a good book by the lake), stargazing, or just sitting for a break! Park your car - Enjoy activities just outside the door.

Nothing short of amazing!

Amazing location, extremely regret not having more time at this property! Bobby and Karen were the sweetest people ever, gave such good recommendations and was super attentive to us, answering any questions that we had. My boyfriend and I are already in the talks about returning next year. Space was clean, neat and beautiful. Thank you for such an amazing stay!

Nice setting

We care about beds, bathroom, sitting furniture and cleanliness .Also quiet relaxed setting. The setting was very nice but no biting fish at lake. beds were good , bathroom was ok (old toilet) furniture was not very comfortable and had dog odor indoors. Hosts seemed nice, responsive.

Perfect family stay

Our boys fished the entire day and night away catching and releasing! There was plenty of outddoor space for a family get together. We had great host that answered any question we had. The house is exactlly as shown in pictures. The "cozy sleeping area" is just as much a bedroom as the others. We visit p.a often as i have family there! We have found our new everytime stay! With this home!

Memorial Day weekend

Ski Getaway

Amazing stay at this property. House was clean and the owners were very resourceful. Restaurants and Elk mountain close by to the house. Look forward to using this property again

Great lake house

The house was great. Everything you need is inside (pots, pans, utensils, cutlery, even a griddle for pancakes). The inside of the house was spotless. Outside- the multi level decks and outdoor grill were great for our fall getaway. The lake is viewable from the kitchen and sunroom. We used the fire pit on a chilly late October night and it was great. The owners are so nice and offer details of everything to do in the area. We will be visiting again next year.

Lakefront vacation

Originally, we were looking at rentals in the southern Poconos region but lakefront homes were out of our price range. After expanding the search criteria, we found this location and were thrilled. The property was exactly what we were looking for for our fishing vacation. The lake was well stocked and appeared very clean. The area is very remote so pack your food, although after some googling, I found a small grocery store called Zazzara's about 5-6 miles from the house. The owners had plenty of other supplies available, such as paper towels, tp, napkins, etc. My only critique is that the house could use a top to bottom, professional, deep cleaning. The kitchen, bathroom and carpets were cleaned but the house was very dusty with noticible cobwebs. My husband even cleaned out the filter for the window AC located in the back bedroom. Despite this, the positive outweighed the negatve

Comfortable Home

We were in town for a family wedding. This place is really close to a couple of wedding venues, including Birchtown Stables. The home is comfortable and has a gorgeous view of the lake. It is easy to find and there is plenty of parking in the driveway. As a group of 4 adults, we found we had plenty of space to spread out and be comfortable. We loved that there were more than enough towels provided for each person. The owners are super responsive. We had a smoke detector beeping because the battery needed to be changed. They immediately came out and even left extra batteries should we need any others. They told us they are adding laundry facilities this summer. That will make this home even better. We would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful retreat in a gorgeous location

We couldn't be happier with our stay, the property, or the host. The place was perfect and the host extraordinarily responsive and accommodating. The only complaint we have is that our stay was too short :). We'll rectify that next time!

Annual reunion of longtime friends

We had an excellent stay at the lake house. The hosts, Robert and Karen were friendly and provided lots of excellent up to date info about the area prior to and during our stay. The house was clean and provided great access to Lewis Lake. It was a great weekend to getaway from work and reconnect with old friends!

All good!

The house on the lake was easy to get into, close to Elk Mountain, and as advertised. There was an issue with the heat when we returned from skiing on Saturday, so Robert and his wife drove up and tried to get it fixed. Unfortunately no techs were available to come out on a Saturday night so they opened up another section of the house with electric hear, comped us a night and we made the best of it. In the end it was a pleasant stay.

Short Ski Getaway

My family and I stayed at Bob's place on the lake for a quick two day ski getaway at Elk Mountain where the home is about 7 minutes from the slopes. Bob was super helpful answering a few questions we had. The house is older but very clean and tidy and perfect for our family of five.

Great vacation spot on Lewis Lake

Everything about our trip was wonderful. The hosts, Robert and Karen are delightful and had provided lots of excellent info about the area prior to our arrival. The home itself was clean and provided great access to Lewis Lake. It was also close to many attractions and dining options, with a great place within walking distance. We look forward to returning here in the future.

Cottage Feel

The cottage was comfortable and clean. Bit dated but that’s what cottages are about. Bob and his wife where lovely. The kitchen was fully equipped. BBQ worked great. It does only have Roku on the TV. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Relaxing Getaway

I rented this lake house for the weekend and I have to say from the start to the end of your stay Robert and his wife were accommodating all of our needs. I was warmly surprised by how welcoming they were in greeting us to their house and showing us around. We loved that the house had a terrace and a lake! My husband enjoyed fishing and I loved the view! There was an abundance of extra towels in each room. The kitchen and all the appliance we needed and we loved the outdoor grill and fire pit. It was really kind of Robert and his wife to get us a list of places to visit for the kids and for us to end during our stay. If you are looking for a peaceful and quiet getaway, I recommend this spot!
