We take the deck concern seriously and, after inspecting it personally, repaired the small opening you noted to prevent any tripping hazard; a few boards will be replaced this spring. We understand the disappointment about the low water level at the pier, but as you noted, the lake draw-down is a decision made by the county and lake association, not something property owners control. We're sorry this happened right before your stay.
