Everything was perfect - the host was very quick to respond to anything that we needed or had questions on. I would so recommend this place to anyone and we will definitely be back.

The host was incredibly responsive and provided great recommendations for the local area. Very clean, equipped with everything you need for your stay. Especially loved waking up to the beautiful waterfront view.

Very well equipped house with a good layout. Quiet neighbors that allows you to totally relax. It was awesome to see deers walking in the front yard. We could spend time sun tanning on the deck or backyard by the lake.

The Grouse Haus was very nice. It was clean and comfortable and a very relaxing place with wonderful views. The only recommendation I would leave would be to have blinds on the dining room and living room facing the neighbor, only because of the afternoon sun! We were enjoying playing cards at the dining room table and the sun was pretty intense in our eyes, also the one living room window. Otherwise, the view from each window was wonderful.

Vacation at the Grouse Haus

The house was so clean and cozy and made our stay a fun and enjoyable experience. The water was so low that we couldn’t get our two boats in at the dock so that was inconvenient to have to unload and load up all the time to go fishing. We did find several new lakes to fish on which was a plus. The deer are plentiful in that area. Our grandson enjoyed fishing at the dam also. Thank you Grouse Haus and Cari at Northwoods Realty for all your excellent communication seeing this was our first time using VRBO!

Wonderful week on Soo Lake

We had a wonderful week at the Grouse Haus. The house is large and well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. The views out the window are beautiful. The lake is shallow by the pier so a large boat might not be able to dock but it's perfect for launching kayaks or canoes. the lake is quite large and the Elk River is beautiful. we really enjoyed kayaking and exploring the river and inlets on the lake. Saw many loons and enjoyed listening to their calls. There are neighbors on both sides, but a thin tree line gives privacy and the lake and neighborhood were surprisingly quiet during the weekday - busier on the weekend.

Perfect place to relax after a day of grouse hunting

Every Aspect of this house including the booking was refreshingly easy. Beautiful place to stay while you talk about all the birds you missed in the morning.
