BOAT Rental Only - Bentley Pontoon with new Garmin electronics

This boat is available for rent on Lake Marion in the Wyboo and Potato Creek area. It is equipped with stereo system and brand new Garmin electronics. Fishing rods are available to be rented for an additional fee. Included with this boat rental comes local fishing spots saved on the Garmin navigation/fishfinder as well as advice from 30 years of experience fishing on Santee. I have local restaurants and attractions saved in the GPS to give you plenty of places to see and things to do. We also have several waterfront homes available for rent. Please note: you are only renting a boat...not a house. There is no bedroom and no bathroom, just a boat. There is a 3 day minimum if you are staying at one of our properties and a 5 day minimum at other properties on Lake Marion. Other properties require a 48 hour advanced notice so we can schedule getting the boat to your location.

We have two homes that may be available to rent (separately from this boat).

Fun time on the lake

David was very accommodating, brought the boat to the home we were staying at, took my husband for a ride, showed him some hotspots for fishing on the Garmin and where to gas up at. He immediately responded if we needed anything, it was an overall great rental boating experience

Great deal

The boat was perfect for my needs. I rented a lake house for a week to fish and visit with local family. David was super helpful with information on the boat and local area places to go. If you plan to just fish or sight see, this boat is perfect for both. The motor is super quite, so when we cruise slowly along the shore lines admiring the beautiful views of the lake houses from their back yards, we didn't even know it was running. We could sit in comfort, talk, and admire the beautiful views in silence, and still be moving along at a comfortable pace. Fishing was great as well with plenty of room to work my rods around the deck. This lake is full of tree stumps so be careful and use the gps tracking to navigate if you venture out through that area. I am very familiar with how to use a gps but if you have any questions then David is very helpful with 100% knowledge of the unit and can step you through it over the phone. I was able to pull up to some local restaurants and eat as well. I didn't mention the price for this boat can't be beat anywhere on this lake. The 60 HP motor is great on gas too. Thanks again David!

Not recommended for safety reasons

We’d have never rented this boat if we got to take a look at it beforehand. It’s in pretty rough shape, and on its last leg. It would never pass a Coast Guard safety inspection, and it’s questionable that it should be rented from a legal liability standpoint. If you get on this boat, you’re taking a big risk. To start the boat, you need to turn the key to start and also wiggle the very broken throttle around neutral for it to crank. You’ll get the hang of it, and overall the throttle will make you an expert at docking. There are no lights, no horn, and no communication device. So if you get stuck out in the rain, I recommend puttering to the nearest shore and waiting - no one will be able to see you to avoid collision. I suspect this might’ve been intentional disablement to keep folks from riding on the very stumpy lake at night. It was a surprise to us, who wanted to watch the sunset. We made due by watching it on the creek (and keeping our heads on a swivel to spot more equipped vessels). Thankfully, you can get cell service on most areas of the lake. The depth finder will randomly turn off. The radio doesn’t work. The Bimini top was missing hardware - we bought a pair of straps and tied them on the metal arms. The fuel gage is inaccurate The nearest marina’s fuel dock is no longer in service. The nearest one we could find was the 3rd one we tried, about a 45-minute ride away at the Marker 79 marina. We topped up right away and then again before leaving.

Relaxing stay

We enjoyed our stay so much, it was like we had the lake to ourselves. There are houses close by but we never say or heard anybody. The house was clean and true to its description!

Pontoon Rental

The rental was as described. It was really nice to have the Garmin to navigate the lake. We enjoyed some sightseeing & fishing.

Perfect for the lake

We cannot thank David enough for helping us use this boat for our family vacation. We’ve never rented a boat before and forgot a few details but David was extremely accommodating to help us through. We had our small children and adults on the boat most of the day. It was perfect size and met all our needs. Thank you David! God bless your family.

Pontoon Boat

Pontoon boat was delivered directly to our rental house. Boat could have been better maintained before our arrival. All reported issues were resolved to our satisfaction.
