Fun for the whole family, a romantic get-a-way or girls weekend. We have it all

PICK ME! PICK ME! Chip Loves company. This cute little cottage is nestled in between St. Joseph (9 miles south) and South Haven(12 miles north) along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is one mile south of Roadside park and one mile north of Hagar Park. These public beaches are surprisingly secluded and wooded in what guests have described as a diamond in the rough. There's plenty to do in both directions. We just installed a 3 way mini split heat and air and a new deck in front. We are NOT large enough for parties inside or outside. We have taken great pride and care to create an experience for our guests that will create happy memories of the cottage by the big Lake.
Guests' enjoy activities in the surrounding communities for year long adventures.
We have received high marks for decor, activities, amenities and cleanliness!
There is one camera in front as added security for the parking area.

Our stay at the property was great. only problem we had was the shower water smelled horrendous, made us worried to take a shower.

We had a wonderful weekend stay! The home was exactly what we were looking for—cozy, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making for a great night’s sleep. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, which made it even more relaxing. You can tell the hosts put a lot of care into making guests feel at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book here again. Highly recommend!

The property was just as I expected. The property was spacious enough for the 2 of us and CLEAN which is so important to me. I always bring some products with me to wipe around but honestly didn't feel the need to do. Dawn was a wonderful host and was available with a quick response as needed. This was my first time to the area. I will definitely be back and will book again when I do.

Think Dawn is pretty wonderful. She really thinks of everything. I’m so glad I stayed! BTW, the very thoughtful touches didn’t go unappreciated. Everything from the s’mores kit to the beach toys were very much loved. We left a couple more beach toys for the next vacationers, too. It was an opportunity to teach the kids a little generosity.

A nice quiet place to stay if visiting nearby St. Joseph. We also had close by access to some smaller, less crowded beaches that were nice. Overall, it was a great stay.

What a comfy little place. The beds were so cozy and the sound machines were a nice surprise. The property was so quiet and peaceful which was a perfect break in our long cross country road trip. Chip’s place had just the right amount of amenities without any unneeded clutter that you sometimes see in rentals. Perfect in so many ways and the proximity to Hagar Beach was great to catch the sunset (don’t miss). Host was friendly and left extra lights on for us as we came in late.

Perfect little cottage close to beach

We had a wonderful stay at Dawn’s cottage! Everything was clean and it was perfect location between St. Joe and South Haven. Would definitely stay again!

There must have been a misunderstanding. Our listing states "no pets". They brought a small dog and there was dog hair ALL over everything!! They also arrived at 2:30 when check in is 3pm. Fortunely, we were cleaned and ready. House rules were broken and cost extra time and money to clean up all of the dog hair.

Perfect family getaway

Michigan Cottage

Perfect getaway weekend

My sister and I stayed here for a relaxing weekend. The house was perfect and had literally everything we needed. The location was great as well. The smores were the perfect touch to end our evenings by the fire.

Dawns cottage was perfect for my family’s Lake Michigan trip. It is centrally located near all the cute towns to visit and quick drives to all the beach accesses. It was super well stocked which was very nice of Dawn. Beds were super comfy too!

Cozy cottage on Lake Michigan

Perfect spot for our family of 3. Super clean and comfortable and a great homebase for our travels in St Joseph and Holland. Loved the snacks!!
