Fun for the whole family, a romantic get-a-way or girls weekend. We have it all

PICK ME! PICK ME! Chip Loves company. This cute little cottage is nestled in between St. Joseph (9 miles south) and South Haven(12 miles north) along the Lake Michigan shoreline. It is one mile south of Roadside park and one mile north of Hagar Park. These public beaches are surprisingly secluded and wooded in what guests have described as a diamond in the rough. There is plenty to do in both directions. Chip's Place is a cozy Family friendly cottage. We are NOT large enough for parties inside or outside. We have taken great pride and care to create an experience for our guests that will create happy memories of the cottage by the big Lake.
Chip's has one central air conditioner in the main room that keeps the entire cottage cool and both bedrooms have ceiling fans.
Guests' enjoy activities in the surrounding communities for year long adventures.
We have received high marks for decor, activities, amenities and cleanliness!
There is one camera in front as added security for the parking area.

Michigan Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage was private, immaculate, well stocked and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy cottage on Lake Michigan

Perfect spot for our family of 3. Super clean and comfortable and a great homebase for our travels in St Joseph and Holland. Loved the snacks!!

Dawns cottage was perfect for my family’s Lake Michigan trip. It is centrally located near all the cute towns to visit and quick drives to all the beach accesses. It was super well stocked which was very nice of Dawn. Beds were super comfy too!

Dawn was a great host, so many thoughtful little touches, her cottage is immaculate and very comfortable. Location was great! Excited to stay there again.

Very cute and quiet stay!

Dawn’s place is amazing! It was very well stocked and clean. It was right in between St. Joseph and South Haven, each about a 15 minute drive. We visited the nearby beaches (about 3 min drive) and they were nice and not busy. Would definitely recommend!

Very quaint cottage. Quiet, very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable . At first look you might think it is small , but there were 4 adults and we had plenty of room. The price was very affordable as well

Small but perfect for get away

This cabin was clean (except for cobwebs in corners) and inviting. It was easy to find but a good drive to downtown for dinner or shopping. The nearby beach was down a tall stairway - Not easy for a family carrying more than chairs, bags & small cooler. Chip's place was a great value.

Just what we were looking for

A friend and I had a weekend stay to relax. It was quiet, clean and exactly as represented. The location was perfect for all of our activities; beach, St.Joe's farmer's market, shops, restaurants and wineries.

Sisters visit

We enjoyed our stay - the place was super clean. We enjoyed all the extras - donuts etc. I wish that there would have been ice in the frig. and a mirror in the bedroom so more that one person can get ready for an outing at a time. Thanks for a great stay.

Great race weekend!

We stayed a couple nights over the Steelhead 70.3 race weekend. I would definitely stay Sunday night next time, because it's is such a beautiful place to race and vacation. I didn't want ot leave! Highly recommend this house if you want a cottage out of the fray but close enough to everything in BH.

A great getaway spot!

To celebrate our first wedding anniversary, we wanted to go to a beach that we didn’t have to get on a plane to get to. This little cottage was perfect for us! Beach close by, DG even closer, friendly people, etc. Well stocked. We cooked each meal there and had all the right equipment supplied. Very clean. Great owner who communicates well! We’ll be back for another stay!!

Cute Cottage in a great location!

We had a great time staying in this cute cottage. Owners provided everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Rental was very clean. Having a deck area on the front and back was very handy in the late afternoon and evening. Short 3 minute drive to a beautiful beach area. Added an extra night a few days before our trip.Owner was extremely accommodating and got back with me within an hour of the request. Highly recommend this rental!

Quaint cozy little cottage close to everything

This property is close to 2 beaches that are perfect and feel quite private. Our kids loved it. We went south one evening to at. Joseph’s to walk the shops and get ice cream and north the next to south haven. The small little 2 bedroom cottage was clean and suited our needs greatly! I’m sure my kids will want to come back. They didn’t want to leave!

Perfect Getaway

My daughter and and her two year old son wanted a short getaway to Lake Michigan. It was perfect,it is small quaint cottage It is very clean and very well kept. Dawn keeps it well supplied with snacks and s'mores which were an extra special treat for my grandson who never had one before. It is close to Coloma a very nice town and also close to St Joes. The beaches are beautiful. We spent our beach time at Hagar Park and were very please. All in all only good things to say and we hope to visit again Joanne F

Absolutely perfect!!

Chip's Place was fantastic! So close to Hagar Park Beach, South Haven, St. Joseph. Dawn was wonderful to work with and answered all my questions promptly. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Coffee, tea, s'mores fixings, snacks, condiments, bathroom items. It was literally perfect for me, my 4 year old daughter, and my sister in law to spend the weekend. You will definitely not be disappointed with this place. We just loved it!!
