Located in the beautiful Gulf Coast town of Venice, Laurel Bungalow is nestled in the quiet neighborhood known as the Historic Edgewood District, just off the Island of Venice. Enjoy all the luxuries of Florida right under your roof or hop on your bicycle and ride 1/2 mile to the Legacy Trail, 1 mile to downtown Venice or 2 miles to Venice Beach or Casperson's Beach (the Sharks Tooth Capital of the World). Laurel Bungalow boasts a private heated saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen w/ Green Egg and gas grill, covered seating area with television, fire table, outdoor shower and detached "pool house" with a queen bed and home theater with 86" TV. The home also has a cozy screened porch with separate fenced in side yard. The main house has a comfortable living room, dining table that easily seats 8, kitchen, laundry room/bath, 2 bedrooms (one king bed and one queen bed) plus office with high speed WiFi. 3rd bedroom (with queen bed) is located in detached pool house. Our neighborhood has a playground/park, baseball fields, tennis & pickle ball courts. Conveniently located to all Venice has to offer~ beach, shopping, restaurants, theater, golf, bike trails, you name it! ~ and everything else you'll find right under your own roof! Laurel Bungalow is a dog friendly, non-smoking property. This is a private residence, with a private pool, and not shared by other rental homes.

WONDERFUL!!!!!

Love Laurel Bungalow. It is adorable, comfortable, and loved our stay. The furniture is not only cute, it is very comfortable. Our beds were so comfortable, and the room was roomy. Everyone who came to visit loved it. I loved having coffee on the screen porch, swimming in the pool, and the outdoor shower!! The Hosts were wonderful!

Great property for our family

Neighborhood was in a great location for us to be close to all the attractions in Venice, our extended family in sarasota, and a boat ramp. The home was very clean with all the kitchen utensils you would ever need, and the appliances were very nice. The pool and the outdoor area is set up perfect with great furniture and cooking area. We really could not have asked for a better place to stay , and we already booked another stay for next year.

Amazing outdoor space!

We had a great stay here. The outdoor space was amazing and the listing pictures were very accurate. Convenient location to downtown Venice, beaches, Sarasota airport etc. Would stay here again!

This property is lovely! It is clean, spacious and so well thought out. Our favorite space was the backyard with the covered porch and amazing pool! The owners are very kind and quickly responded to messages! 10/10 recommend!

Perfect Stay

Fantastic location.....close to EVERYTHING! My wife is 74 and doesn't go to the beach much so the pool was a HIT! The house has everything you need and the outdoor kitchen and covered area was perfect. Edie, the property manager was easy to contact and responded promptly. Hopefully this lovely home will be available for our next year's vavaction! A definite 10

Great Home Away From Home

Wonderful property. Check-in was easy and communication with owners was excellent. Great location to historic downtown Venice. We spent 75% of our time in the pool or enjoying the outdoor kitchen and deck. The house had everything you need. We hope to come back!

Cute house with great pool area. Owners were responsive and easy to communicate with. Pool was great. We went to the local VFW and it was so much fun. If you’re members you should check it out. We enjoyed our stay.

Second stay this year!

Loved this house so much! Luckily it was available for a return trip. Every area of this home is so very nice. My husband and I stayed in the pool house this week, loved the privacy which allowed our son and family to stretch out in the house. Pool area, outdoor kitchen with large table and ample seating was the perfect for wonderful family memories. Great communication and help from hosts when needed! Hope to stay again! Beth & Mark

Fantastic!

Laurel Bungalow is a beautiful gem in Venice. Quiet location, comfortable beds, lovely outdoor space/ pool and the outdoor shower made us feel right at home. The owners put a lot of love into the property and home and it shows. Communication was perfect and minor issues were quickly resolved. Highly recommended - you won't be disappointed!

Wonderful Oasis!

We had an absolute blast! Your home is so lovely! My parents, my husband, and our pups had an amazing/relaxing time! You have such a wonderful set up in your back yard! It is the perfect set up for dog family’s. We lived outside basically! We only were inside to cook meals and sleep! God willing we still have our dog with us next year we will certainly be back!

Tropical retreat!

The details put into this place is outstanding! Beautiful pool and lounging area with an outdoor TV and shower! Very clean. Side porch was great for the dogs to go potty and relax when bugs got bad. We even played Scrabble that was on the porch table! My son and girlfriend stayed in the pool house, and we watched some basketball in there after dinner one night. Huge theatre setting in pool house! Fabulous! We never showered inside! Great tropical retreat close to town and beaches!

Laurel Bungalow-Palatial Palace

Nestled in a historic district in Venice, Florida this beautifully appointed house, grounds & in-ground salt H2O pool helped us shake off the northern cold. The interior has all of the high end appliances, comfy beds, couches and chairs. The outside bedroom/movie theatre was perfect for our guests and the outside shower was heaven. BBQs were frequent as was sampling all of the great restaurants in Venice. Since this was our first time using VERBO we were pleasantly surprised. The owners were very gracious in sharing their beautiful home with our family.

We both grew up in Venice, know the area extremely well and spent a considerable amount of time choosing the perfect "fixer upper" to scratch our itch for remodeling homes. In 2014, when we found Laurel Bungalow it was a no brainer, with its 1950's charm, ideal location and space for expansion, this was a perfect fit for us. Our vision was to create a home space where we would never have to leave or go on vacation because home FELT like vacation. The home has been completely remodeled and updated with all the creature comforts while preserving its simple, original charm. The backyard has been designed with care; ideal for morning coffee, pool gatherings, outdoor dinners with friends, football watching from the pool, sipping wine while the sun sets and just about every scenario you could envision. We added the pool, covered patio with outdoor kitchen and t.v., detached garage and pool house (personally used for guests w/ a luxury Murphy bed) and our very own home theater with reclining seats and 86" TV!
