Located in the beautiful Gulf Coast town of Venice, Laurel Bungalow is nestled in the quiet neighborhood known as the Historic Edgewood District, just off the Island of Venice. Enjoy all the luxuries of Florida right under your roof or hop on your bicycle and ride 1/2 mile to the Legacy Trail, 1 mile to downtown Venice or 2 miles to Venice Beach or Casperson's Beach (the Sharks Tooth Capital of the World). Laurel Bungalow boasts a private heated saltwater pool, outdoor kitchen w/ Green Egg and gas grill, covered seating area with television, fire table, outdoor shower and detached "pool house" with a queen bed and home theater with 86" TV. The home also has a cozy screened porch with separate fenced in side yard. The main house has a comfortable living room, dining table that easily seats 8, kitchen, laundry room/bath, 2 bedrooms (one king bed and one queen bed) plus office with high speed WiFi. 3rd bedroom (with queen bed) is located in detached pool house. Our neighborhood has a playground/park, baseball fields, tennis & pickle ball courts. Conveniently located to all Venice has to offer~ beach, shopping, restaurants, theater, golf, bike trails, you name it! ~ and everything else you'll find right under your own roof! Laurel Bungalow is a dog friendly, non-smoking property. This is a private residence, with a private pool, and not shared by other rental homes.

Great location to near by beaches. Many places to dine. Amazing outdoor living area. Pool great for kids and relaxing. Quite neighborhood. Full functioning kitchen with all amenities. Easy and fast communication with host. Games and puzzles for fun evenings with family.

We enjoyed everything about our stay in Venice for the past few weeks. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The pool and pool house were amazing! The home is very close to several beaches, the marina and public boat ramps, restaurants, and shopping for food or souvenirs. The hosts left great instructions on the home, places to visit, restaurants, events, etc. and were very quick to respond when we had questions. We honestly could not have created a better getaway. We will be back again very soon and would highly recommend this rental! Thank you Edie & Greg!

We absolutely loved this property. The guest house was perfect for our teen daughter and her friend to have their own space. We loved the side yard for the dog! Everything was just perfect for our family, the house decor was the cutest. Hoping to stay again soon :)

One of the best stays we’ve ever done! The pool is absolutely amazing but you’ll never want to leave once you use the outdoor shower! The office space was a hidden gem. The whole place was very cozy and clean. There wasn’t one thing we didn’t like. We miss it already and would go back every year! Thanks so much for having us!

We absolutely loved staying at this wonderful, comfortable, home! So much…that it was our 2nd stay here! Wonderful pool! Great yard for the pups! Location was so convenient, enjoyed taking our dogs to the dog beach every evening for the sunsets! Really enjoyed the outdoor, covered space. It’s everything we needed and more. What a great, grandma, screened porch, with swinging chairs! Really enjoyed Venice beaches and hunting for shark teeth and shells! Thank you for sharing your wonderful home Edie, and Gregg

Property was AMAZING!! Exactly as advertised. Very welcoming and so cozy. WELL appointed and great location...the property lacked nothing! Already booked for next year. When we chose this home as our vacation spot, it was the pictures that sold me. When we got here, we actually fell in love with it. Every day I noticed a new detail of something you guys did to the house, a decor item, the renovation details, which told me this is a place that you love, not just an investment property. We took care of it as if it was our own, because we felt at home. The home is not only extremely well appointed, but everything, and I mean everything, is of extraordinary good taste. I love to grill and I was missing having my big green egg (I used to have one when we lived in a house). It’s rare to see these in a rental house, it tells me it was put there because you love it as well.The pool is amazing, the outdoor shower unique, the home theater in the pool house is perfect for a movie night.I could go on and on. We also loved the town and the beaches. We are definitely coming back, and we are hoping to get more time in this wonderful home.This is exactly the type of home I dream of retiring in one day.Thank you for being such gracious hosts and promptly answering any questions I had and thank you for this unforgettable experience!

This was truly an awesome experience. The house is clean and has any and everything you could ever need!! The host always got back to me in minutes! Perfect check in notes and a detailed book of all the instructions for the house. The pool was perfect and the pool house was a private oasis from the main house. The outside shower is delightful and the fenced yard brought comfort in letting the dogs run. The screened patio was enjoyable and the lanai was such a beautiful space to just hang out and unwind with friends. We appreciate having the dogs with us on vacation! We would definitely recommend and hope to return to enjoy this wonderfully decorated, eclectic house!

Our 3 weeks exceeded our expectations. We had prompt communications with the hosts. The landscaping was beautiful and well kept, allowing for complete privacy on the grounds.The pool was sparkling. Inside, the home and pool house provided comfortable and interesting furnishings. There was great attention to every detail throughout to provide for a memorable stay.

The house was clean and was equipped with everything we needed. The outdoor living space was fantastic and the pool was super nine. The separate building with bed and super theater room was perfect. We loved the location to shopping and the Venice downtown area. Quite friendly neighborhood and great for walking and bicycling. There were playgrounds in the neighborhood and park a few blocks away with pickle ball and tennis courts. So relaxing and great for grilling out on the patio!

Great stay in Venice

Amazing outdoor space!

We had a great stay here. The outdoor space was amazing and the listing pictures were very accurate. Convenient location to downtown Venice, beaches, Sarasota airport etc. Would stay here again!

Great location to beaches! Many great restaurants with 30 minute radius. Close to downtown Venice! My husband and kids had a blast fishing on the beach and combing the beaches for shark teeth. The pool and outdoor patio setup was outstanding! We loved the outdoor shower, great touch after a long day at the beach. We also enjoyed a trip to legoland for the day!

We both grew up in Venice, know the area extremely well and spent a considerable amount of time choosing the perfect "fixer upper" to scratch our itch for remodeling homes. In 2014, when we found Laurel Bungalow it was a no brainer, with its 1950's charm, ideal location and space for expansion, this was a perfect fit for us. Our vision was to create a home space where we would never have to leave or go on vacation because home FELT like vacation. The home has been completely remodeled and updated with all the creature comforts while preserving its simple, original charm. The backyard has been designed with care; ideal for morning coffee, pool gatherings, outdoor dinners with friends, football watching from the pool, sipping wine while the sun sets and just about every scenario you could envision. We added the pool, covered patio with outdoor kitchen and t.v., detached garage and pool house (personally used for guests w/ a luxury Murphy bed) and our very own home theater with reclining seats and 86" TV!
