We stayed here a few times this season and every time was amazing. The restaurant was amazing. Food was great and the service was unmatched. We will definitely be back again next season!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

Perfect for us

We have skied at Schweitzer many times and love the location of the St. Bernard and other lodging near there. The ski in/out is easy and although the apartment is small, it's a great layout for a couple or parent/kid. It is under a bar/restaurant so there will be noise (but also so convenient to have a restaurant upstairs!)

We had several issues with our stay unfortunately. First small thing we noticed was that the communication received from the host was obviously a copy pasted message not specifically for us, as it mentioned winter ski information and we were there in early September. Didn’t think much of it at first, but then while we were there someone leaving the bar upstairs walked up to my wife when she was outside the unit waiting for me to get back. This person asked my wife if she needed help getting in, because he had stayed there earlier that week, and other times before, and knew the door code. The code he mentioned happened to be the correct code we were provided with. So the host obviously is not changing the code for each stay, and previous occupants, and who knows who else, are therefore aware of the code and could get in at any time. This obviously made her feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. Huge concern and very irresponsible. On top of this, the unit was not cleaned well, there was hair in the bedding, a bunch of crumbs and trash under the sofa when we pulled it out for the extra bed, and no trash bags. And lastly, which we weren’t too upset with because we should have known better, this place is directly under a bar. We figured it would be noisy, but not as bad as it turned out to be. It sounded like everyone in the bar was in our room with us and we couldn’t sleep until the live music was over. Not a complaint on this, just FYI for anyone else considering staying here.

This listing was removed so I can't re-read it, but I do not remember them disclosing that a restaurant/lounge was directly overhead. It was incredibly noisy both inside and out of the unit. More importantly, there is absolutely no ventilation in this unit - no air conditioning, no window that opens, it is dark and enclosed. The ceiling fan above the bed was a joke - if you turned it on it was wired wrong with another ceiling light next to the bed that you could not turn off making the ceiling fan unoperable while sleeping.
