Welcome aboard "The Nautical House", located downtown historic Galena, IL and just footsteps from unique shopping, delicious eats and endless activities and experiences!
Anchor yourself and enjoy a picturesque front porch view of the Galena River or wine down on the private back deck complete with an outdoor grill. The eclectic and unique, nautical themed cozy interior invites you to spend your days relaxing in your home-away-from-home. The master bedroom and guest room, located on the second floor, offer full-sized sleeping accommodations along with 1.5 bath and laundry room. The both bedroom and living room are equipped Smart TVs connected to WiFi for you to login into your Netflix or other streaming subscriptions.
Enjoy a meal with your group, cooked in the well-equipped kitchen which includes a refrigerator, stove, oven, and microwave where you can prepare home-cooked dishes or make your way downtown Main Street to enjoy what Galena has to offer. The front porch or back deck, equipped with a gas grill, are perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or an evening glass of vino. Don't stress about parking - "The Nautical House" has two private guest parking spaces for your vehicles - reserved just for you (private parking not available during the snow season).

The location of this house was excellent for our girls’ weekend in Galena. We were able to walk to everything downtown. Unfortunately, it rained the whole time so we did not get to enjoy the outside patio. The beds could use some updating as they were only full size. We brought air mattresses to sleep more comfortably but that worked ok. We would stay here again.

Property was okay but AC way too noisy for our liking. Very old property that needs updating to reflect the current pricing. Street noise also very loud inside the house.

Great clean house in an ideal location. Walking distance to all of downtown Galina. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch answering questions about the huge flood gate just next door from visitors passing by on their to town (thanks to a book on the coffee table we knew a few facts to share).The nautical decor was very well done. For as old as the house is it wasn't squeaky at all. Totally enjoyed our stay and would stay again.Having the parking spaces up behind the house was nice but even better is the free street parking out front once evening rolled around and town clears out. Especially on packing up to head home.Highly recommended!!

Cute and cozy home, great location! Walking distance to all the cute shops and restaurants. Went for a girls trip and had the best time. Tip: park in front first to drop off baggage and then find private parking in the back.

Great Location

Perfect location for a weekend get away to Galena. We love the accessibility to the main street shops and restaurants. The home is well kept and a comfortable stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, well maintained and had a charming nautical theme. I really appreciated how close it was to the downtown area.
