We are passionate about nature, hiking and kayaking! We love being in the remote areas of the Adirondacks, away from the bustling crowds enjoying nature with our 3 daughters. We own a nearby off-grid house. We like to work hard and play hard! Mary Anne owns her own Environmental Consulting firm and Craig works remotely as a Tech Geek.

We helped Mary Anne's father (owner of SMSA Architectural services who specializes in Adirondack Camps) restore The Old Belfort Schoolhouse and Blueberry Cottage in 2010. We loved the history of The Old Belfort Schoolhouse. This building was originally a church, but when the Belfort School burned down, it was donated to the school and turned into a one-room schoolhouse for local children. Blueberry Cottage (on the same property) became the perfect office for Mary Anne's Environmental Consulting firm. With the move towards remote working , this 2nd building now serves as overflow for larger parties who want more privacy, or even as a separate office space for families who want to get away, but need a quiet place for remote work and school. This building can also be booked as a stand alone cottage that sleeps 4! We love the flexibility of having 2 buildings on one property!
