Welcome to the Hangar ( A Modified A-Frame originally owned by 3 pilots ) Tahoe living the right way! A classic 3 bedroom, 2 bath modified A-frame cabin with a yard. Located the Carnelian Bay in the Agate Bay neighborhood & adjacent to an acre of Tahoe conservatory land. Walking distance to Lake Tahoe beaches, Waterman's Cafe, Post Office (best breakfast on the Lake), Garwood's and Mini-golf. Huge decks with BBQ, Hot Tub, outdoor yard space, and an amazing neighborhood for walks with family and dogs. Easy access to wilderness par course & hiking trails. A classic Tahoe experience, great for summer and winter. 15-minute drive to the most popular ski resorts.

Great location

Overall good stay and good that it was dog friendly. Not much privacy (no drapes/curtains on any windows) and could use some updating (furniture/carpets). Would stay here again, regardless.

Inside needs a lot of work

I’ve already shared feedback with the owner. The exterior and location are great. The inside needs a major upgrade before I would stay here again (carpeting needs to be replaced, personal items stowed away better, furniture needs upgrading etc) As an owner of a mountain property I understand the issues. At the same time we rented bc of the other reviews and the pictures. And I wouldn’t want another guest to have the same experience we had until the owners make significant improvements. I’d wait for new pics to show the inside details before renting here again.

Great family stay

We loved staying at the house. Shelley was a wonderful host. The house was comfortable and well appointed. Beds were super comfy and bedding was clean. The outdoor living spaces were absolutely perfect! We would love to come back. The inside was outdated, but the house was clean so it wasn't much of a bother.

Great location

The property was in a great spot. Very close to the lake. We were able to do snow play during the day and the beach at night. The bedding was surprisingly comfortable, which seems unusual in rentals these days. The place looks as advertised and was clean upon entry. Very woodsy rustic cabin. My only issue is the place was not well appointed. We ran out of toilet paper, hand soap after one day of normal use and there were no trash bags. Also, we tried to use the washing machine once and it leaked all over the floor, so we weren’t able to do laundry after that. All in all, we’d stay there again mostly because of the location, but probably bring more personal supplies along.

Great house and area

We really enjoyed staying at the house. Lovely neighborhood for walking our dog around. Our 6 year old loved using the bunk beds!

Private escape

My family and I had a great 4 day getaway. the location on a corner with additional yard for our dog and some snow play where we didn't have to drive to go play in the snow. we built a snowman and went back into the cabin for hot coca and coffee and hot lunch then went back outside at our leasiure. It was very nice and easy to social distance since we had no one else around us.

Perfect Little Tahoe get away

Super conveniently located cabin, that is pref erect for a chill get away when you need a break. Lots of dogs off leash in the neighborhood, cute little back area to explore, Walk able to the lake, and within 30 min of 3-4 ski resorts! I would 100 % stay here again. Post covid hopefully with a slightly bigger group

Perfect getaway

Such a cozy & comforting stay, Matt & Shelley we’re so kind in their communications, knowing my brother & I were coming up for a change of scene following our mother’s funeral. Perfect location, great neighborhood and “The Hangar” is a definitely a classic Tahoe family & pooch friendly cabin, hope to return again!

Great Location

The house is in a great location. It was awesome to be able to just walk down the stairs and have the kids enjoy the snow. Had a great time.

Amazing Cabin!

The location of this cabin was amazing- very close to the lake! The cabin was clean and spacious, and the hosts were extremely responsive to the questions we had prior to our trip! We want to go back again!
