Welcome to Los Osos, a warm and spacious mountain cabin tucked away in Lake Tahoe's quiet Agate Bay. Whether you're visiting to ski at nearby mountains, spend sunny days out on the water, or just relax in the fresh pine air, this is the perfect home base. You even have a beautiful, protected forest right in your backyard, with trails for hiking and snowshoeing starting just steps from the door.

When it's time to unwind, you'll love soaking in the private hot tub under the stars, catching glimpses of the lake through the trees, or cozying up by one of the two stone fireplaces. With plenty of open gathering spaces spread across two levels, it's an incredibly easy and comfortable place to share your vacation with another family or a group of friends.

IMPORTANT:
-Quiet hours are from 9pm to 8am. No noise shall be heard across property lines. No outdoor speakers or amplified sound are to be used at any time.
-Dogs must be leashed at all times when outside of a property and all pet waste needs to be picked up.
-Up to 2 dogs are welcome with an additional pet fee
-Parking is limited to the following number of spaces: 2
-Tahoe is a beautiful and fun place to visit, but occasionally this area can be affected by extreme weather events. While we never want things like icy roads, road closures, or smoke from wildfires to negatively impact our guests, it can happen. We ask travelers to plan their vacation appropriately for the rural mountain climate and encourage guests to research all travel insurance options, as Tahoe Moon Properties cannot provide refunds for things outside of our control.

Wonderful house

Forest in the back, comfy beds, warm couches and blankets, nice hot tub, and dogs at our feet. Great time!

there was bad weather so we were stuck inside sometimes and the TV reciever did not work and there were a bunch of ants in the kitchen and in the toaster oven.

Rats

I would say that the home is a typical Tahoe rental in that it needs general repairs but was overall what we expected. My family and I have rented homes in the Tahoe area for years and expect some minor repair/maintenance issues. However, this house had a rat problem. We could hear them at night in the walls, we had to keep our food in sealed containers and caught at least 6 rats in the kitchen while we were staying there in under two weeks. It made for a very uncomfortable and not very relaxing vacation.

While critters can occasionally make unexpected appearances in this mountain environment, we acted immediately upon learning of the issue. We also worked directly with this guest after their stay to help ensure they felt heard and supported, and we brought in professional pest control to address and mitigate the situation. The home, like many typical Tahoe rentals, may show some signs of general wear, but we always aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay—and we’re committed to making improvements wherever needed.

Great house

We loved this house. We were two families each with a dog. It is difficult to find a house that suits these needs that is great value. The upstairs and downstairs living rooms create a great environment for the kids to hang out separately. Plenty of space and big deck to enjoy. Would definitely come back again!

Great place to stay with a larger group.

We loved the layout of the house! It was perfect for a larger group, where we didn’t feel crowded. The hot tub was a bonus and the location was great. Loved our stay here!

All Great Except the Beds

We were caught off guard when the property description and photos of the number and type of beds was inaccurate. We had many singles on this trip - adults and teenagers - and we were counting on the beds as described (2 twins and 4 bunk beds). Unfortunately when we arrived, the beds had been changed to 1 king, 1 double, and 2 bunk beds. One of our party had to sleep on the floor, and one on the couch. Otherwise the stay was lovely, and the property had everything we needed.

Spacious yet cozy home

We had a wonderful holiday spent at this super accommodating home. We all enjoyed the hot tub, hosting family dinners in the kitchen & dining room, and relaxing in either of the two living rooms. The views were goergeous and the neighborhood was cute too. Would highly recommend this home.
