Great Spot!

We stopped here as a midway point on a road trip and it was a great place to stay for a night in Ocean Grove. Conveniently located near the beach and not far from Asbury Park. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent spot for ea day trip to the clty

Everything went better then expected. Keyless entry worked well and the location is excellent. I would recommend this apt to anyone looking for a quick get away.

Perfect Getaway

This was our 2nd time staying at The Melrose and we’ll be back again. The location is perfect for enjoying Ocean Grove, Asbury, and of course the beach. The property manager is very responsive to any questions or needs and the property is very well kept.

Easy, clean, convenient

We stayed here to attend a concert at the Stone Pony, and just needed an easy and comfortable place to sleep. This was great! The checkin and entry process is easy, and the room was bright, quiet, and clean. Amazing location with easy walking access to Asbury Park.

Sleepover

We were in Ocean Grove for an overnight. We saw a band perform in Asbury Park, and this was a great spot, close to the foot bridge and the boardwalk. Super clean, very intimate!

Success!!

My husband and I stayed a few days and we were impressed on many levels. The place was charming, cozy and clean. We enjoyed the perfect location with views of the lake and ocean. Less than 2 blocks from the ocean and boardwalk. The neighborhood was quiet, yet we were a short walk to the lively Asbury Boardwalk. We loved sitting out on the porch to take in the views. The refrigerator in the room was a nice, useful touch for beach goers. We will be back!

When we first arrived, the staff was kind enough to let us check in early. The room itself was a bit small where we kept hitting the corner of the bed, but otherwise clean. Also, I would say if you're a daily napper, room 3A might not be ideal as it has lots of windows, and the shades don't completely block out the light. We did appreciate how close we were to everything, including the beach and restaurants. Overall, the stay was good.

We were surprised at hell small the room was, Didn’t realize kitchen and living werecommon areas

Bathroom should’ve had some vanity space or some shelves on the wall to put your toiletry items. Had to store all this in the little bedroom and keep taking in what you need each time.

Smok

Says non smoking but people smoke outside and leave common doors open so the building smells of smoke. I left after 1 night and the host graciously returned my money for the following nights

Paul, I am sorry you had a bad experience. We are a smoke free property. I will increase awareness of the non smoking policy by highlighting it in our listing and increase the signage on the property.

A bit small

It was a cute house, but not what we thought at all. No coffeemaker, (thankfully I always travel with my own)very tight quarters, very hard to navigate all the stairs after having knee surgery, very loud creaky floors made it hard to be non distracting for others. A bit far from the ocean for my liking, and looked much closer online. Was very easy to communicate with managers and were very responsive. We left early to get home. Very clean and comfortable bedding. But I guess we are hotel type people that get more from convenience with all the amenities.

This was our first time using Vrbo. Process was easy! Very impressed with the communications - lots of good information shared and questions answered very quickly! Location was centrally located. Easy to walk most places. Parking was easier than expected as well.

Excellent location - never used the car. Very close to the beach and restaurants. The room was NYC small but very clean and comfortable. Everything as described.
