We stay in a lot of vacation rentals & Jason's communication & hospitality were over the top! He sent us a lot of information about the area & cottage before we got there to help us prepare for the trip. We had arranged to take our dogs with us but were still surprised at just how dog-friendly the cottage was with sofa covers, tie-out ropes, & extra leashes. Even our fur babies had a great time hanging out on the fully enclosed deck & swimming in the lake.

The location of this property is so magical—the deck and dock are wonderful, and the lake views and access are amazing. The house has everything you need, and having garage access is awesome. The home owner is the nicest and very helpful and communicative. My only negative is the bathroom and master bedroom are tight, and the shower is not tall friendly.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our border collie and had a wonderful time. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay (water sports equipment, spices and dishes for cooking, etc) and is a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It is literally steps away from the lake and our dog loved having the beach right out the back door. Definitely recommend coming to visit here if you get the chance. We hope to be back next year!

Our family of five loved our stay on Lake Charlevoix. The house is clean, comfortable, cute, and perfectly positioned for watching beautiful sunsets across the lake. The house is located on a quiet street without much traffic and there was plenty of room in the loft for our three kids. The house is well stocked with everything you need for a great stay at the lake house. Our family loved swimming, kayaking and roasting s'mores while watching the sunset. There's also so much to do in the area. Jason communicates thoroughly, is responsive, and all his recommendations for things to do in the area were on point. I can't think of anything that could have gone better. We can't wait to return!

Winter Break weekend getaway..

We enjoyed the long winter break weekend at the lake house. Clean house and very relaxing atmosphere.. would recommend and return again !

Comfortable Cottage

Cottage was very clean and comfortable. It was equipped with everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Quiet location and easy drive to Charlevoix, Boyne City, and Petoskey.

Great Cabin

Sadie’s retreat was a wonderful cabin tucked away on the northern side of the southern arm. Jason the host was very kind and responsive and you can tell he takes a lot of pride in making guests feel welcome. We loved our time there and hope to go back soon.

Wonderful lake house and fantastic host. We will surely be back. Kids loved swimming and fishing off the dock. The house was well equipped with anything you would need. Jason was super helpful and all his suggestions were all spot on.

This home is well-stocked, organized, and clean. It is the most dog-friendly rental we have ever stayed in, which made it easy to have our good boy with us. Everything was perfect and Jason is an excellent host. If you stay here, we highly recommend taking the paddle boards out on the water to enjoy the sunset. Great memories were made at this place!

Great Little Cottage

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Everything you could want for a lake front stay and more. Great sunsets. Easy distance to many of the activities and attractions that Northern Michigan has to offer. Communication was great and we were greeted with red roses and a bottle of wine for our Anniversary.

A bit of paradise

This was a great property on arguably the best lake to vacation in Michigan! Jason was beyond an accommodating host and the neighbors were extremely friendly. The fishing tips were also spot on! Will absolutely come back!!

Great stay and the lake is beautiful

We had a wonderful stay at Sadie’s retreat. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well-stocked, nice common spaces for family time, beautiful outdoor patio with view of the lake as soon as you wake up! We enjoyed the kayaks and games provided. We rented a tritoon from summertime rentals and were able to ski and tube. This part of the lake is so clear and much calmer than the bigger part of Lake Charlevoix. Because of that, we were able to do water sports all day.

Lake Charlevoix getaway

This was really a great place to stay right on Lake Charlevoix. The host went out of his way to make sure that everything was well stocked, and that we would have a memorable experience. The house itself was in excellent shape and was very tastefully decorated. It had a warm, relaxing feel to it right from the start.

Dog friendly and close to Boyne Mountain

When looking at properties to stay at we always look for dog friendly so our pup can join us. This place was cozy and perfect. We wanted a place to stay so we could go to Boyne Mountain and we were only 25 mins away. Communication with Jason was great. Would love to come stay in the summer.

I can’t say enough about this cozy and tranquil lakeside retreat. The cabin has that long ago nostalgic feel, but with all the needed modern conveniences. Beautiful views of the lake, and especially the sunsets, can be had from the roomy deck, vast yard, or dock. Jason Dryja is the best host we’ve worked with, providing great communication and excellent recommendations for activities throughout the local area. Also, the property is super dog friendly, with thoughtful amenities for furry guests. All-in-all, the cabin is a serene sanctuary that we hope to return to in the future!

Lake Therapy

Jason was an amazing host! The lake house is very clean, well-stocked with everyday needs (towels, blankets, sheets, pots & pans, cutlery, etc.). The location is amazing-we were able to drive short distances to Charlevoix, Walloon Lake, Boyne City, Petoskey, and the ferry to Mackinac Island. If you are looking for a vacation to restore calm in your life, this is the perfect place. We will absolutely stay here in the future!

Perfect Valentine getaway

The cottage was perfect for the two of us. Close too many winter activities. The host was outstanding. Jason goes above and beyond to make you feel at home.

Sadie’s Retreat

The property is beautifully maintained, excellent location directly on the Short Arm of Lake Charlevoix in a quiet residential area. The deck and the back yard are wonderful spaces offering both sun and shade, and the dock on the lake works beautifully for the provided kayaks as well as swimming. Great property and a very responsive, helpful owner!
