Also in the home is a kitchenette with a coffee station, perfect for a quick bite before hitting the town. The one-of-a-kind touches in this home also include a working coin-operated vending machine, which together with the modern-farmhouse decor, brings an element of novelty to the space.

In the backyard space you can experience the Hill Country in all its glory, whether you enjoy lounging in the hot tub under the stars, sitting with friends around the fire-pit, or playing yard games with the family! The games provided include Yahtzee, corn-hole, and ladder-ball.

Staying at Glowing Embers was definitely a GLOWING experience

On first look, we wondered what the cabin would be like, but upon entry, we were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this quaint cabin was. Eclectic and hobbit-like is the best description I have. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful little cabin just a short distance from downtown Fredericksburg. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

Girls Trip

This cabin is so cute and exactly as pictured. The beds are super cozy and there are ample AC units and fans if you want to escape the Texas heat and sleep cool at night. The whole area with the different themed units was so quaint. Some suggestions, if you want to use the outside fun areas, I suggest tennis shoes, stickers were abundant (that's just nature). Also, bring a shower cap if you want to shower without washing your hair, the rainfall head is inescapable as it is right in the center of the small shower.

Not what we expected

This property was not what we expected. The "private" hot tub was private in that only one cabin would use it, but it is in open view of the other cabin as well as the neighbor's home. The kitchenette consisted of a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave, a toaster and an icemaker. There were dishes that could be used, but you had to wash them in the bathroom.

Great Place, Annoying Weekend Construction

We loved staying at Glowing Embers, but were promised there would be no weekend construction--it was why we booked the rental. While we loved the beautiful scenery, fire pit and hot tub, the construction was interruptive and loud as they were using saws. Please don't promise that there won't be any construction if there will as it is dissapointing to be promised quiet and get banging all day.

Beautiful & Unique Property

Came here with my two best friends from high school for our annual FBerg getaway and what a treat this place is! They did an amazing job of putting special little unique touches to make it different and exciting. Very comfortable! Not right in the middle of all the chaos but close enough to town. We will definitely be back someday! Thank you for making our experience so special with this magical place.

Not what we expected

The pictures showed a river and a dock on the water, but when we got there the river was was dammed up and there was construction going on!!! The owner did not even mention anything about it. None of the pictures showed houses anywhere close to us, but there is a house on the same property only 50 feet away from the house. Plus there is construction on the property (building new building)!!! We were not informed of any of this!!! We will never stay here again!!!

Advertisement of property

The area and house was amazing, had a great weekend with my wife for her bday surprise.. Only down turn was advertised pictures. Didn’t realize the house was side by side another, the pictures portrayed a pasture and secluded area. I think there should be some sort of update in description indicating the beautiful Pond when the pond is COMPLETELY DRY… Not a huge deal, but was unexpected… Last thing, maybe make the hot tub a little more private

Perfect little cabin for two!

We stayed at the Glowing Embers cabin for two nights and fell in love with it as soon as we walked though the door! The modern rustic theme has such a homey feel. The bed is super comfy, and the bathroom has more than enough space. The hot tub is a mega bonus! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway with the wife

Loved everything about this place, wife was really happy and that is most important. Two small issues for us (an prolly not important for most people), it was a little warm during the day time. I'm assuming that the tin material on the outside absorbed the hot July sun and made it difficult to cool down the interior during the heat of the day. But when the sun went down, it cooled off quickly. Also, maybe add some additional fencing near the hot tub to create a little more privacy from the neighbors. We loved it and will stay again!

Amazing Barnominium with every feature!

This is the spot! Located on a nice piece of property very close to town, you get to enjoy being away but just a few minutes drive into town. It was super quiet and we were able to sleep in late. The home had all the features and was beautifully decorated. We barely ever left as we were able to relax in the movie theater seats and watch our big screen TV, read books by the river, and walk down to the dock on the river. There is another home (the main house) on the property but ample space and you still have privacy. We actually made friends with the other guests and sat by their fire pit with them one evening. We will go back! Only negative was the hot tub heat didn't work.

Weekday getaway

We loved this place. We were looking for a short getaway just to spend time together but not be too far away from the city. It was great. Only a few minutes outside of town which let you be close enough but far away enough. Spent quality time together on activities on the property and was able To go fishing. When there were issues, the host was prompt about replying and helped us out. It doesn’t have a “kitchen” for cooking but has a fridge and microwave so you can store food and drinks. I really liked all the neat touches to the property. Overall, I’d stay there every time we visit.

Just what we needed

This cozy get away was perfect for my husband and I! We were getting married and wanted something private and peaceful after a long, social day. The games on the property and water near by made for enjoyable down time. We loved the atmosphere inside and everything was easily accessible! Would definitely recommend! Jessica was very helpful as well! Thank you for making this weekend one to remember!
