Creekside Country Guesthouse

What an amazing place to stay. So warm and inviting. Dan was very helpful and checked to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The home was so very clean and well stocked. We loved the quiet and so enjoyed sitting on the balcony enjoying the day.

Home Away From Home

Terrific property! Super neat and clean (in fact, the home feels new), the floor plan is nicely laid out and it had everything we wanted or needed in a home away from home. Although some of the traffic could be heard during peak hours, it was peaceful in the evenings. For us flower lovers, there are walking paths behind the home -- and the home itself has a lovely deck (covered and uncovered), complete with rocking chairs and a table/chair set. For those cooler evenings, the property has a very nice fire pit with ample seating not far from the house. A great place for building memories!

Perfect Getaway

Plenty of room for two adults and three kiddos. Just a quick little drive to downtown with a beautiful creek area. Highly recommend!

Rocking on the deck

The property was everything we wanted it to be. A beautiful back deck that had rockers and tables to sit at. Most of our meals were outside where we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the countryside. The house had a homey feeling the minute you walked in. We met our host Mr. Day and he was great. We will definitely be staying here again.

Perfect Getaway

The house is perfect for a family or friends getaway or just a quiet weekend. Very relaxing and loved being able to just sit on the back porch and rock. The host met us and give several helpful hints about Fredericksburg. Great experience all around.

Great location not far from town sleeps 2 couples & upstairs could sleep 8 kids great!!

Perfect for us!

Very nice place to stay, close to town. We had our family of 6 there for 4 days. It was perfect for us. Clean with lots of things to do/see. The creek and horseshoes were our favorites.

Peaceful Paradise

We LOVED our stay here while vacationing in Fredricksburg for our first time. It was about 6 minutes from Main Street which was perfect because it was close enough to the fun but secluded enough for the peace. The owners were so sweet and very accommodating. They do live in the main house on the property but this guest house was completely separated and they gave us all the privacy we needed. My friends and I loved waking up with coffee on the porch watching all the birds and deer eatting. It was absolutely beautiful. At night the firepit was the perfect area to unwind, make s'mores and star gaze. The place was extremely clean which was important to us. Then you wouldn't even believe all the accommodations Katie had for us. If we forgot to pack something we needed, we never had to fret because she most likely had it. Shampoo, soaps, lotions, blowdryers, toothpaste, cough drops, kitchen tools, etc. She literally had it ALL. We had an absolutely amazing time! 10/10 for sure!

Guesthouse with Owners Living on Site

This actual house was fine, but we would not return. For starters, the rental is the guesthouse with the owners living about 50 yards away and they feel highly empowered to just pop over whenever they feel like it, without wearing masks, and banging on the door repeatedly until answered. We initially thought they were just being nice and friendly, but it turns out they were being nosey. My wife and I had originally rented the house just the two of us for New Years and a few days before decided to bring a second couple along who had their plans fall through; there are two bedrooms as well as an upstairs with twin beds so we didn't think it would be an issue having 4 people in the house. Well, the owners made sure to go out of their way to report that we had additional people staying so we received an unexpected $240 fee subsequent to leaving. Additionally, Fredericksburg is a relatively small town so during on a cold rainy day during COVID, there isnt much to do. This is probably on us for not verifying, but the house does not have wifi or tv so something to keep in mind for when the weather is poor. Finally, if you do decide to bring additional people such that you will need to use the beds upstairs, please be aware that the temperature up there is about 15-20 warmer than the rest of the house so sleeping upstairs would probably be relatively unpleasant.

Great fire pit area!

The house was lovely and intimate. Very clean house and comfy beds. The owner was personable and lives next door. She checked on us to make sure all was good. We would rent this place again
