Stunning 4 Season Lake Burntside Log Cabin

Welcome to our Lake Burntside 4 Season retreat. This newer hand scribed 1,700 square foot log cabin on 2 acres of property and 200’ of frontage on the pristine waters of Lake Burntside is only 9 miles from Ely town ctr and minutes to the boundary waters canoe area.

The open plan cabin has a master bedroom and full bathroom on the main level as well as a loft with full bath, sleeping up to 8 in beds. It has a fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, great views and large patio overlooking the lake as well as a new barrel sauna down by the water and dock.

In the summer, use our canoe or keep your boat on the dock as you enjoy fishing, watersports, canoeing and endless water activity on the +7,000 acre Lake Burntside known for its crystal clear waters as well as it’s fishery of Lake Trout, Whitefish, Walleye, Northern, perch and pan fish . For winter, the home is well insulated with heated floors so take advantage of abundant cross country and snowmobile trails (snowmobile trail passes right by property on lake) or enjoy snowshoeing, ice fishing, dogsledding, or just relaxing with hot cocoa or wine in front of the fire. Enjoy fall colors by taking a hike on one of the many trails within minutes of the cabin.

My crew of 6 wildland firefighters from Iowa were desperate for a place to stay while working on the July lightning fires on the Superior National Forest. The owners of the VRBO went way out of their way to make their cabin available for us. Having such an amazing place to rest and clean up after long 16 hour shifts made our 14 day assignment fly by. We cannot thank you enough for hosting us!

Cabin had more than enough living space for our party along with the full kitchen and separate eating area. The hosts were a delight to work with and very accommodating with our requests of adding additional people last minute and early check in! The property itself is gorgeous with great views, and direct lake access via snowmobile in the winter. Could not recommend this property enough!

The cabin was beautiful! Very clean with a great view of the lake. The location is outstanding, and offers plenty of privacy but is still close enough to town to go out to eat or grocery shopping. This hosts were great and made our stay comfortable and trouble free. I would highly recommend this cabin in the woods. I hope to return soon.

We are a very active family and fell in love with the area as there are so many outdoor options. The town of Ely is full of little shops and wonderful people who show world class hospitality. If adventure is your thing you have to check out the famous boundary waters canoe area for a portage experience that might just change your life!
