We found the cabin to be wonderfully quiet and nature-filled. Trees in every direction. It’s thoughtfully laid out and we wanted for nothing.

Very relaxing, private escape. My husband and I went here for our 10 year anniversary. The Shack was clean, beautiful views of the lake, kitchen had everything for cooking, furniture was comfortable, and all amenities and appliances worked great!

This was an absolute dream of a place to stay. Host was communicative and kind. Distance from town made it easy to access without the feeling of being in town. Kitchen was perfectly stocked for cooking (which we did a lot of), the outdoor spaces were thoughtfully laid out for comfortable gathering. The jet bathtub was a special bonus! Short walk down to the lake, where we caught fish about every day. We also enjoyed serviceberries that were ripening during our mid-July stay. We hope to be back soon.

It was a wonderful place to stay. Having the sun shine through the many windows during the day brought a warm feeling and at night it was super cozy. The hot tub was warm and the bed was extremely comfy. The kitchen was great for cooking, with enough counter space that I was able to also do a puzzle. I highly recommend.

This cabin was beautiful. We stayed here in the winter on our honeymoon and it was perfect. At one point there was a little mix up but the owners responded in a timely manner and helped us figure everything out! This cabin was the perfect distance from town (about 12 minutes) but was also secluded, surrounded by trees and had giant windows out the front that gave a beautiful view, along with a glimpse of the lake. We had a wonderful, relaxing experience and really enjoyed ourselves

Great location for fall colors and wildlife. Close to town for any necessities and restaurants. Cabin was clean and had plenty of kitchen space and living area. We didn't use the kitchen much but it has items needed to prepare a meal. We were very impressed!!

Best Solo Vacation Rental In Northern MN

I had a magnificent time staying in this home, even under threat of wildfires I felt safe secure and relaxed atop the hillside overlooking the lake. I will definitely be returning with my partner one day.

Great spot on the lake!

Excellent choice if you want a secluded spot near Ely on the lake. Cabin exceeded expectations, a comfortable north woods retreat with modern luxuries. Dock was in really good shape. We opted to rent a pontoon from the Lake View Lodge down the road, also a great spot.
