Our family loved the Cozy Cottage! It was so close to the beach and other South Haven attractions. The cottage was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We highly recommend staying here!

The property was good for what we wanted as a weekend away and close to shopping where we wanted to be. There was something burnt at the bottom of stove so when we went to use it, it smoked up the kitchen setting fire alarm off and we had to air out the kitchen. Other than that, it was good

Our family loved our stay here! It was a short walk to an open beach(not much beach that isn't private though, but we enjoyed walking down there at night for a stroll on beach). The house had everything we needed to have a relaxing vaca! The neighbors that were in sister house were nice too, which helps(although I didn't realize when booking house that the two places are all in one house, just two different parts of house). Very cozy and comfortable.

Perfect Little Getaway

The home was very clean, and perfectly fit how many guests we had. Location is very close to the beach and downtown. Highly recommend this for your weekend getaway.

Great stay on the north side

We really enjoyed our stay. The property was as advertised. We needed a few things that the property manager (Jaqua Realty) readily provided. Location is great!

We loves all the toys and games. Our grandson had a great time. Great location with an easy walk to the beach. We really enjoyed South Haven. Kids Corner was a perfect spot for the grandson to burn off some energy.

The property was not clean, there were holes in the screen porch, bugs in the window, and the floor was sticky. The oven didn’t work and only one burner worked. The disposal didn’t work, the tv didn’t always work. The battery on the grill was dead, the person who came to fix it didn’t know how to change it. The beds were uncomfortable and the breakers kept tripping.

Sorry you had a bad stay. The bugs in the screened in area have been dealt with. While you were there and notified us of the breaker issue we have looked into this. It was nothing that was ever a problem. And I am sorry you felt the beds were uncomfortable, these are homes that someone owns and maybe a firer or softer bed is what they prefer, but we know it may not always be what every person prefers

Cozy Cottage did not disappoint

Enjoyed a wonderful Labor Day weekend with family thanks to the thoughtful added amenities provided. From beach umbrellas, beach chairs, water noodles, toys, games, and books for the children. Thank you!

Perfect for a family with small children

The location is perfect! Quiet street, walking distance to beach access and a short drive to downtown South Haven. The cottage is fully stocked with anything you need to make meals (which we prefer to do when on vacation with small children). There are also toys and books for children that my kids loved! The cottage was very clean with plenty of towels and linens for a week. Highly recommend!

Great location

This rental was in a great spot with only a few minutes walk to the beach. One night we took the bikes in the garage down there. The rental was in a beautiful neighborhood too that felt completely safe. The house was very nicely decorated and had enough space for all 4 of us. They had loads of games and books for all ages. We didn't need to communicate with the rental people any more than what the well informed texts and email info gave us. All of us really enjoyed our stay.

Positive Experience

Property was clean and spacious. The screened in porch is very nice and there are three bathrooms. The house has all sorts of helpful stuff in it like dishes and beach accessories. You can walk to the nearest beach but the beach is very narrow (private property on right and left marked with metal stakes). It is a short drive, however, to other beaches. We especially liked North Beach and another one close by, I think it was called Packard. We would stay at this property again.

Place near the Bluff

Overall we liked the property and loved the toys for the kids, plus bikes. However, it smelled of mold when we entered the front door (downstairs living area was the only place with the odor).there was pink mold in both showers on the walls which was probably exacerbated by no fans in the bathrooms. In one of the bathrooms the paint was peeling off the ceiling and base boards, and the shower curtain had pink mold. We paid a lot of money to stay here, and it was not fair that it wasn't properly maintained.

We had a great time staying at Cozy Cottage this weekend. The house was cute and nicely decorated. We loved the screened in porch, it was our favorite spot and was perfect for coffee in the morning, and wine at night. The house was well appointed with pretty much everything you might need, even dvd's and games. The location is in a nice and quiet neighborhood, close to the beach and downtown. I'm giving it 4 stars because the house has a very strong musty smell which you notice as soon as you walk it. It's just on the main level, not upstairs. Also, the bed pillows are ridiculously thin, and really need to be replaced. The baseboards and woodwork are scuffed up and need to be repainted. Overall I would recommend this place, though if you have allergies you might not want to stay here due to the musty smell.

This was the perfect cottage for a quick getaway before our daughter is off to college. There were 5 of us which was just perfect for our long weekend. The street/neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Close to the beach and just a short drive to the downtown shops. The communication was superb! We would absolutely stay here again!

Cozy Cottage

South Haven

The Cozy Cottage is a small home in a nice, quiet neighborhood. In comparison to other rentals, it is an affordable options. While my family loved South Haven, we were not wowed by this property. There are 3 bedrooms (2 with queen beds and one with two twin beds). The home comfortably fits 6 people. There is a sofa sleeper in one of the bedrooms and in the family room which is how the listing states 10 can stay here. This is a stretch in my opinion. When the sofa bed is opened up, there is virtually no room to walk in the bedroom. The house is cutely decorated but in need of updating. We had a difficult time cooking in the oven as it was dirty and caused it to smoke when in use. There was no exhaust fan or fans of any kind so the smoke was difficult to clear. In addition, the bathrooms upstairs are dated and in need of updates. Overall, this property can get you by but leaves something to be desired. The lack of maintenance and updates brings the quality down. Would recommend for no more than 6 people who plan to eat out vs. cook at the house.

Wonderful Black River Barn wedding stay

Our growing family needed a place to stay for an extended weekend for a very special wedding. Our children and 3 month old granddaughter had an exceptional time and enjoyed the lake, town and home! You payed close attention to details and we certainly appreciated it!

Nice place

We rented both sides of the property for a family get together. It’s been so long with Covid. We used one side for the adults and other for kids with family’s. There are many trip hazards on this property for my elderly father but other than that we loved it.

Great trip. Spent most of the time on the screen porch when home.

Will rent again from Jaq realtors listings. Loved Washington St. and the area. So close to the public beach and used the bikes everyday. Only thing was, we should have realized the pictures of cottage were anhledcto appear larger than it really was. Appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and all the kitchen supplies. We had a great vacation there, planning next trip to come back.
