This may be my favorite rental we’ve had on vacation. Very thoughtfully curated space and responsive host. Close to all we needed, it was the perfect place for an extended family stay.

We loved the stay! The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots, and the kids loved the game selection. We also really loved the availability of the beach wagon, beach chairs, life jackets, and beach toys.

We stayed here for a long weekends cousins trip and we had a blast! The home was perfect for what we were looking for and we were all shocked as to how close everything was from the house. Definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for a place to stay in this area.

Location was great! Beach is super close by, and downtown is walkable. Katherine is a great and communicative host! Some of the rooms are a little bit small, and the 2nd bathroom is in the basement. Just something to keep in mind for a large family with lots of kids! But it was so nice that the property was so well equipped for kids - they had high chairs, booster chairs, kid plates, pretty much everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed to cook (we made a full Thanksgiving meal!), to relax, and to enjoy each other's company. We highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Happy Ours Cottage was the perfect spot for our multi-generation family trip to South Haven. Located on a quiet street and a short walk to the local beach it was ideal for grandparents and little kids - everyone was able to come back for lunch and nap or sleep in and leave after a late breakfast. There were plenty of kid friendly items stocked in the house so we brought minimal items for the kids - huge bonus on the beach wagon and umbrella!The well stocked kitchen made meal time easy and fun, we also enjoyed the BBQ outside and eating on the back patio. The size of the kitchen allowed several adults to be working at the same time. The backyard was big enough for games, a little spashpad and soccer.The hosts communication was ideal, a detailed pre arrival guide made packing and planning our day to day much easier. Instructions were easy to follow and if we needed anything the reponse was prompt.We hope to go back to Happy Ours Cottage & South Haven next year too!

Great home and location in South Haven

Lovely house with great spaces. Beautiful beaches and lively downtown with good food and shops. Had a great time here and recommend it.

Easy walk to town, beach, food, and bars. The cabin was equipped very well in the kitchen. Bring your own pillows but beds were comfortable. Only 2 bathrooms but still workable. Outdoor space was great with several chairs, tables, and umbrellas.

Perfect location for easy beach access. Loved the extra included amenities, like beach chairs and wagon. It was great for our large group with plenty of sleeping options. The communication was very straightforward with a description of all of the quirks of the house, so it was nice to know what to expect.

Great spot

Great spot I a quieter neighborhood north of town. Short walk to Oak Street Beach but only 15 minutes from downtown. Accommodated the five of us fantastically, could’ve easily had a lot more folks.Kitchen was great as was washer/dryer. Would love to come back!
