Quaint, cozy bungalow located one block from downtown South Haven. Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, farmers market and the beautiful South Haven beach!

4 Bedroom, 2 Full Bath, Sleeps 8-10!
Perfect for two families or a large group of friends.

Amenities include a four-season front porch, beautifully landscaped, fenced backyard, picnic table and outdoor furniture, updated living room and bedroom furniture throughout the home, full kitchen including dishwasher; washer and dryer, BBQ grill and fire pit. Towels and linens are included. But, you’ll want to bring some beach towels!

This home is approaching 100 years old! And although we adore it and keep up with repairs and updates, somethings are hard to change — it has squeaky hardwood floors. Does that add to the charm, or annoy the heck out of you? You decide! If you have kids or infants that are light sleepers, you may want to pass on this charming almost century home!

Our home is very walkable from town, only 1 block from town with 3 parking spaces in the driveway. It is an excellent location, only about 3 blocks from the beach - which we walk! But, some would prefer to drive.

We really enjoyed the location of this home. It was very walkable to downtown and the beach. We loved the historic charm of the house but the floors were so squeaky that if anyone got up to use the restroom during the night, everyone else in the house was awoken. With elderly people in our group, this was a moderate concern. I appreciate old homes but just a fair warning to those groups with light sleepers.

First of all, the property photos are old. We were very disappointed in the condition of furniture and lack of cleanliness. The entry porch had cobwebs, and dirt on the landing, the screen door didn’t close completely. We were unable to use side porch, for two reasons. The French doors leading out, were impossible to lock; and the cobwebs, spider eggs, and dirty floor made it impossible to enjoy. The window blinds, and sills were covered in dust, and the windows needed washing. The front porch furniture cushions were frayed to the point of the filling sticking out. Upstairs bedroom pillows had a body odor smell…we took them off and washed them! We didn’t find the closet, in the main floor bedroom, because it is hidden behind a wall of cubbies. There is and a doorless opening, in the other. The doorless opening had a small table, about 18” hanging rod, and an exposed pipe. The fact that a cleaning charge is added to the rental fee, the owner is entitled to good service. With a little TLC, this could easily be a more desirable listing. We enjoyed the fact we could walk to downtown and around the neighborhood.

Weekend Trip in South Haven

We had a group of 9 stay in the place for the weekend and it was such an amazing time! The place is so beautiful, comfortable, and cozy! The place was also very close to fun restaurants on the water and to the beach! We loved our stay!!!

We are from Cleveland Ohio - born and raised on the shores of Lake Erie. But, we have been visiting South Haven, MI for the last 5 summers and decided to go ahead and purchase a property - because we love the quaint atmosphere of the town, the shopping and restaurants, as well as with the beautiful beach and kids park.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

This cute bungalow had the perfect location for us. Close enough to town to walk to the farmer's market, or Julia's for coffee. Close enough to the beach to walk, and ride bikes to the park. It is a quiet street and the home has a completely fenced in yard which is perfect for our extended family. We hope you love it as much as we do. And, we are looking forward to having many family vacations in South Haven for years to come.
