This spacious house sleeps up to 12 guests in the main home (*and there is also an ADULT ONLY - Private Modern apartment FLEX SPACE that can be rented for an ADDITIONAL COST, where 2 more ADULTS can stay. Ask for more info if interested. The last several pictures are of the apartment - notice the brick and burned wood on walls).

This is a wonderful property to spend time with your family or friends, no matter the season. With its breathtaking views of Douglas Lake and The Smoky Mountains the home is the perfect place for your next retreat. VERY RARE, LARGE PRIVATE OFFICE with panoramic views if you need it. Wifi throughout to keep you connected.

High style luxury provides 2 amazing kitchens that are fully equipped. Also, a large theater room featuring a 135 in fixed screen and dolby surround sound for the real theater experience, Extra large lounge deck offers 2 fire pits, with plenty of space to relax and rejuvenate. A outdoor kitchen area with plumbed gas grill, a salt-water *heated pool and oversized spa,

Your group will also have plenty to do nearby such as hiking trails, ziplines, boat, jet ski, kayak, and paddle board rentals, golf, water parks, amusement parks, shopping, horseback riding, white water rafting, and lots of antiquing.

This house is perfect for 8-10 adults, for retreats. And the sleepers can accommodate children or a couple of smaller adults. We allow up to 12 booked persons total in the main house (and IF THE FLEX SPACE IS RENTED...then there is allowed 14 Total, NO EXTRA GUESTS ALLOWED ON PROPERTY…NO EXCEPTIONS.

NO SMOKING ANYWHERE ON PROPERTY.

We have held nothing back in getting this home ready for your visit...come see for yourself what sets The View apart. We take good care of our guests.

Wonderful place to stay and enjoy a pre 50 birthday with family. From the call from the owners right after booking to checkout. We were treated with kindness and was given abundance of information on the property.Great place to hang out, use as a base to see Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Asheville NC, and so much more.Great for hiking, swimming, relaxing, and family fun for all ages.Bring your walking shoes to just navigate the home lol.Highly recommend!

We took our family of 10 to this beautiful home for Thanksgiving. It looked like a fantastic place and the experience was even better than fantastic. The home speaks for itself with the view, the amenities and the cleanliness. All the needed items and instructions were there to make our stay perfectly relaxing. It all started with the gracious hosts who put every effort into making us feel at home. We had such a great stay and we highly recommend this home! Thank you Kimberly and Michael!

This property was absolutely amazing. Although we only had our family of four it can accommodate quite a bit of people comfortably.The pool and views were incredible. The area was quiet at night and all of the little details were handled.The kids were entertained and we enjoyed family movie night every evening! We can't say enough good things about this property and the memories we made here.

First trip with infant/toddler grandchildren

What an excellent place for our first family vacation with grandchildren!! The house was perfect for our family, and the layout made it easy for young children to sleep/nap while the adults played games, watched movies in the Theater and enjoyed swim time (a bit more relaxing). The house was well stocked with everything we needed! The hosts were responsive and helpful when we arrived and had questions throughout our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

peacefulness out of every view

House was very spacious, plenty of room for large family. Pool was very private and what grandkids loved the most, in the evenings enjoyed movie in theater room. We would not hesitate to come back.

Family Getaway

We had such a wonderful time at The View! The home is beautiful, truly a place to relax and enjoy all that it has to offer. There was an issue with the hot tub, but Kimberly and Michael were able to get it resolved quickly. Thank you for a wonderful place for our family to gather!!!

Wonderful 5 star stay

We rented this expansive home for a family vacation. It had everything we needed and more. Two kitchens, multiple sleeping rooms, pool table, movie room, and a large pool with hot tub overlooking beautiful views of the lake and mountains. It had close proximity to the town with a good grocery story to stock up on essentials. We would definitely consider going back.

Beautiful inside and outside

This house is perfect for a big family it has everything you need and more very spacious and comfortable. Two beautiful kitchens with everything you need and the movie room is great and comfortable then there’s a pool table and games. The view is gorgeous and it’s a great place to relax no one wanted to leave. All of my family had a great time so worth the money.

Great property with lots of amenities!

Property is very clean and offers so much space for a larger family. There are many, many conveniences already there for you! Loved having a private bath in every bedroom but then others centrally located close to where we all hung out. We all had a great week! And the view is beautiful!

Beautiful view

Everything about the property was as advertised. We were very impressed with the accommodations. Everything we needed for cooking was available. The pool was fantastic and the view was amazing. We spent most start time swimming and relaxing outside on the deck. The area was very nice and we spent a day on the lake with a rented pontoon boat. We were closed to other places, but chose to stay close to the house.

Relaxing

Wonderful stay on this beautiful property. This is the second time my family and I stayed at this home. This time with friends to do college visits and I couldn’t think of a better place to rent while touring University of TN. The amazing view, cleanliness, layout, theater and pool/hot tub are the reasons we have been back. Kimberly was great at communicating and making sure we had what we needed during our stay. We plan to visit again!

Perfect vacation getaway

Breathing taking views, beautiful spa like pool, plenty of space in the house and fully equipped updated kitchens are just a few of my favorite things. Other outstanding things are the peacefulness found just by sitting and enjoying the view out to the lake and the smoky mountains in the background. One room in particular was amazing, is the room upstairs by the pool table. What a view especially at night with the moon over the lake. The hosts were so very helpful and always on call if needed. We had a wonderful vacation, no complaints at all!

Wonderful family vacation retreat

We had 13 family members stay at the house and spent a majority of our time there due to all the things available to us such as a large heated pool/ hot tub, pool table, theatre room, fire pit and plenty of outdoor spaces to enjoy the incredible mountain/lake view. The house is very well-equipped and very spacious. The home had two kitchens which allowed us to cook in one of them (out of the way) and then serve and entertain in the other large kitchen area. Also, we found the owners to be very considerate and customer service oriented. I highly recommend this property.

We are working on a new project this fall where there will be a flex space to rent also for slightly larger groups.. we will post pictures as soon as we have them. It’s going to be a gorgeous, modern, loft style full apartment downstairs. That’s1100 more sq.ft. And sleep up to 4 more. But, We will only rent it to people who are renting the upstairs. Fits The Name

It's called "The View" and it lives up to that. I think the first time we rented a house and the pictures didn't do it justice for just how great the place was. Outside of grabbing groceries 5 minutes away at the store, we spent an entire week just enjoying the pool and company. The kitchen's are absolutely stocked with everything you want and more. Owners were so nice and accommodating as well. Don't hesitate.

Last Minute Vacation

We luckily found this place just a few weeks before our vacation. Gave plenty of room for spending time with family. Kids loved the pool. We watched some movies in the theater room. And plenty of table space for board games together as well. The location was within an hour from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. So we also had a good week having fun at Dollywood and other attractions in that area. The owners/managers were really great. They made sure to text or call with any information or issues. They made sure we understood the doors to the pools so that our kids would be safe and we really appreciated it. Would definitely stay again!

50th Wedding Anniversary

This was the perfect place for our family. The hosts were amazing! They were so helpful and such a blessing to our family. The views are incredible from almost every window in the house. We have never had a rental with everything you could need. They have thought of everything. It’s spacious and a room for everyone’s needs. The house was clean and decor was beautiful. It’s close to so many attractions. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. The downtown is full of history and fun shops. Five star for sure!! Thank you Mike and Kimberly for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home with us.

The view.

Perfect property for multigenerational famlies. Great rooms for togetherness, but also spread apart enough for some solo time if needed. The view is spectacular from most rooms. Ensuite bathrooms with all bedrooms and a couple of extras. Kitchens have all your needs. Very comfortable beds and pullouts. Kim and Mike were very responsive to any questions. Beautiful Saltwater pool keep everyone busy in the off times when were we not out and about. Exit alarms for pool area to keep your infants and toddlers safe. Very quiet neighborhood and close enough to all tourist activities. Highly recommend this property. Only con was the week went by too fast!

Perfect family getaway

This place exceeded expectations in every way: clean, fully equipped kitchens, including a great ice maker and two coffee bars. The movie room was perfect for our group - from kids to adults! The views were exceptional, and there were plenty of comfortable sleeping spaces with homey touches, like sound machines in the rooms. A whole house sound system and outdoor cafe lighting made for special nights at the pool and hot tub. TWO outdoor fire areas and an absolutely sprawling floor plan made for tons of space for everyone. We did not want to leave! Kim was responsive and helpful, helping us making sure the kids were safe around the pool - an alarm system and special door locks let us sleep soundly. This place was absolutely perfect. The hosts know how to do things right, taking no shortcuts. Would certainly stay again!

Under Surveillance

This house would be ideal for a family of adults that don’t mind being under constant surveillance. We were not permitted to have two dinner guests because that is over the allowable number of guests in the house at one time. They will count the number of people going into the house and then proceed to call you if they count more than you accounted for. The house is well equipped and in a quiet neighborhood with no lake access. The pool and hot tub are beautiful with breathtaking views. I wish we could have enjoyed it with less paranoia.

We do have camera's on the outside of our property, excluding the pool deck, as do most VRBO owners for safety and security. This is noted on the VRBO site for everyone to see prior to booking. We have a number limit as do all rentals. Upon arrival there were 4 more than allowed, therefore breaking house rules that were agreed upon when booking. Already over limit, there were plans to have a dinner party inviting more people. Our insurance says this is a liability and they do not allow it, especially with the pool. We are in a quiet neighborhood with incredible views and lake access nearby. We have always had an excellent reputation for taking great care of our guests and people will hopefully see that in the years of reviews prior to yours.

The views are SPECTACULAR!! And you will notice the peaceful nature of the property as you drive in and it will only get better as you walk into the home. This is a truly unique property that is unlike any other in the area. First you have space and serenity that many other homes don't have. You will have 2 full kitchens, 2 coffee bars, tons of parking, a 900 sq. ft theater room with a 135 inch screen. The pool table is situated in one of the rooms with the best views...you might just want to hang out and eagle watch since there are so many pairs located right on Douglas Lake (I've watched in amazement many days!). There are so many locations inside and out to be alone to meditate, read, or chill...yet there's space for group gatherings that won't leave anyone out. You have the option of having the private salt-water pool heated April 1-Oct 31 for an added charge or just use the spa/hot tub in those cooler months which over looks the lake and mountains. All four bedrooms have private bathrooms which make it great for couples getaways. Two lead directly out onto the pool deck. This home will accommodate up to 12 total in the main home (and we've added a brand new modern apartment in the lower level in the back, that can be rented for an additional charge, but the apartment is for ADULTS ONLY. If interested in the apartment ask for more info). No additional guests permitted. If you want to go to Gatlinburg or Pidgeon Forge you can go, but when you want peace and space...you are just minutes back to the house.

This house is located in a beautiful neighborhood without steep, narrow, or winding roads. Only 5 minutes to a nice grocery store, starbucks, ice cream and snow cone shop, nail salon and a cute downtown shopping area. A restaurant with live music on the deck outside is 6 minutes away. And 7- 10 minutes to golfing and boating. We LOVE this location! Also, unlike many lakefront homes in the area, you don't notice the drastic drop of the lake every spring, fall and winter, because we are positioned high above the water line where you just see the beauty. And because the location is higher, you don't hear all the boat noise typically found in properties close to waters edge. Some of you know what I'm talking about. Come see for yourselves, we believe you'll love the difference and book again and again like many others.
