The place was so nice & exactly what we needed. A bit outdated compared to pictures, but still very nice. Would stay here again.

We had a great family vacation at the Carreta Cottage. Our kids enjoyed the pool being so close to the beach and the adults enjoyed nightly hangouts on the porch while the kids were sleeping. We will definitely be back!

Great stay. Wonderful access to the beach. The porch was superb for a gathering place. The town was very well maintained and clean. Friendly people.

The house was perfect for our family vacation. Beautifully located for beach. Walkable to several things. The pool was smaller than it appeared in photos but still served us well. The only disappointment being the charge for the pool heat. At the price of the home for only 5full days, I feel that there should be no charge. Otherwise everything was excellent!

A wonderful cottage in a perfect location! Plenty of lounging spaces for our multi-generation family stay. The bedrooms and bathrooms are as described and offer plenty of privacy. The walk to the beach is easy peasy. The walk to restaurants is a little further. The original wood paneling is gorgeous. The property could use a little love. The grill was rusty and unusable and the screen porch door was broken. The garage doors have a gap which can allow critters to enter. All in all, it was a lovely stay and we would book the cottage again.

Great Tybee cottage

Caretta Cottage was just as described and pictured, an easy, convenient, short walk to the beach. The cottage was clean, the bathrooms were fine, and the beds were comfortable. We did not use the downstairs area; the upstairs was all we needed. The only minuses were the very few spoons and bowls provided, and the absence of any condiments (no salt or pepper). Due to the cold weather we did not use the screened in porch; it is a great entertainment area that we would have enjoyed otherwise.

Needs some updates

The location of this house is great and the inside is cute. But we won’t be staying here again. The kitchen needs some updates. They only provided two kitchen towels and one wash rag. No spices of any kind were provided, only salt and pepper. One of the cabinets just stayed open, we couldn’t get it to close. The fridge had trouble shutting. The pots and pans were non stick and in bad shape. The house was not as clean as I would have liked. The main bedroom’s bathroom sink was clogged and leaking. It was that way when we arrived which makes me think that the cleaning crew did not run the water, or they would have noticed. The bath tubs were dirty and hair was wrapped around the drains. When you walked around on bare feet, the soles of your feet would be dirty. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. It felt like sleeping on a rock and the sheets were very scratchy. Overall, not a place to stay again.

Very close to beach,clean rooms, had a wonderful time pier and shopping were close enough to walk to but far enough that the beach was not crowded

Great property! Hot water heater needs attention though.

We had a wonderful stay at this home. Super close to the beach, we’ll-stocked kitchen, games, huge porch…everything you’d need. One thing the property management needs to take a look at is the hot water heater however: all hot water smells strongly of sulfur. (We’re aware of what island water typically smells like, BTW, and this was definitely something wrong. It was only the hot water, and so strong we basically gave up on hot showers. )
