Shanty - Close to the Ark Encounter

Galloping Goose Cottages located Dry Ridge, Kentucky. We offer 10 cottages 8 with Queen Beds and 2 with Twin beds. All are fully equipped with Air Conditioning and Heat, Cozy beds with Luxurious Linens, Full Bathroom, ROKU Flat Screen Tv's, Wi-Fi, Mini Refrigerator, Microwave, and Keurig. The cottages are 190 Square feet. Parking on premises is available. They're located only minutes away from The Ark in Williamstown, KY! The Cottages are located next to a train track.
After making a reservation please be sure to check your email. The cottages are self check in. There is no office onsite. All check-in details such as address, access codes etc. will be located in that email.
After a reservation is made please complete the pre-checkin details sent to your email from RGC Enterprise Vacation Homes. Our address as well as places to eat and things to do in the area will be listed.
The Access code to your cottage is sent 3 days before your reservation via email.

good location, overall very clean and nicely done there was NO coffee and we didn't realize until we went to fix and it was too late to request any. Stocking with a few snacks, water and making sure there is coffee would be recommendations for future guest.

The listing is very accurate for this cottage. We visited The Ark Encounter and the cottage was close by, has great curb appeal, very clean, and cozy. The reviews I read talked about the train running all night but honestly, once we fell asleep, it never bothered us..and I am a light sleeper. The only thing I would like to suggest (not a complaint) is I wish there would have been some type of shelving in the shower for my body wash and shampoo. Other than that, we loved this place and plan to book a few of the cottages when we visit next time with family. 10/10 recommend!

Very clean and well maintained. You can tell they care about their property. The only thing i might change is adding a dresser and long mirror. It was relaxing. We really enjoed sitting on our own little porch. I would definitely stay here again (and i am very picky). Suggest ear plugs if train noise nothers you. A sound machine was provided, which was helpful.

Lovely week

These cottages are very cute. They were much smaller that we expected, though. But we were so busy with our family visiting The Ark and the Creation Museum that it was just fine. Its located on a beautiful piece of property!

Little but functional

All in all was good Air Conditioner was right on the side of the bed and would get cold on the head. May need to put a diverted to redirect the air.

Cute Units

The property is immaculate and cottages are adorable. The units are small but adequate. Trains passed regularly, but with the fan on the air conditioning unit running it blocked the noise. Could have used more coffee and fresh cups (2 day stay) but management didn’t respond to our request. Overall, we were very pleased. Good value for the price.

Goose

As we pulled into the parking area of the Galloping Goose Cottages, we were so happy to see the quaintness of their appearance and the inside was just as charming. The cleanness of the inside was beyond reproach. The birds in the area woke us and put us to sleep with their lullaby. Believe it or not, the train was soothing and didn’t bother us at all. It was all a lovely experience and I will recommend it to my friends.

Only 2 towels and no hair dryer

If you are a woman with long hair and you want to dry your hair after washing it how do you do that with out an extra towel? Also make sure you bring Keurig coffee pots because that's the coffee maker. And you only get two pods for three nights total for two people.

Perfect for short getaway

It was very nice for a weekend getaway with my spouse. It is extremely tiny, as advertised so staying for an extended amount of time may be difficult. We went to the Ark Encounter and Creation museum and was perfect for our weekend. The only downsides were the location being right next to rail road tracks and the trains are very loud through the night and the AC unit. The room would either get too warm or too cold if we turned the temperature down. It was very hot outside though so maybe that's what the issue was. Overall would stay again though for a weekend.

The Shanty

Very clean and well thought out for such a small space. The train did not bother us a bit. Very convenient to the Ark. I would stay there again.
