Salt Springs LAKEFRONT & CANAL FRONT! Bring your seaplane or boat! Located within the Ocala National Forest, this charming and renovated lakefront 2 bedroom/1 bath cabin on Big Lake Kerr features a a full kitchen, open concept layout, & oversized screened patio. This is the perfect break from the real world! Nestled on almost half an acres, our cabin is cozy and relaxing when you are not hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, bird watching, or canoeing. Book your stay with confidence as we will deliver a family friendly experience with the utmost professionalism. For larger groups/families, we have a second property adjacent to this one. It is also a 2 bedroom/1 bath and sleeps up to 6.

*Please note, we do not have a private dock.** There is a community neighborhood dock nearby to access within walking distance. It currently needs some repair and we anticipate those repairs be completed by the HOA by year end 2022.

*No pets of any kind. If pets are found at the property, it will result in the traveler forfeiting the security deposit or $250 fine. Property features exteriors surveillance cameras for our Traveler's safety & noise monitoring device to address potential noise complaints. Thank you!

Quick family trip

Property is beautiful. The lake is a short distance out the back door. The home is clean and cozy. If i needed the owner she responded quickly. We would definitely stay again. Thank you!

Amazing Place

This is an amazing place to stay. I have stayed here multiple times. It is very close to the forest and is always very clean and has everything that you need. The host is amazing. Great communication I will definitely be staying here again.

Ocala Forest on the Lake

This is a great place to stay to get away from the hustle. Plenty of hiking and wildlife in the area and the natural springs are great places to visit. The host was very helpful in letting us know about the surrounding area, places too eat, things to see and the home was well furnished, clean and has a fantastic porch on the front facing the lake. Would definitely come back here.

I'm a local Realtor & Vacation Rental Hostess in the Central Florida area and enjoy the Salt Springs life with my own family and children. We are family owned and operated business. We are available to answer any questions regarding the area and available to assist you during your stay. My dad, Bob, has over 40 years of knowledge of Salt Springs. He spent many years flying his Lake Amphibian Seaplane in and out of Lake Kerr; he is a certified seaplane instructor. Bob & his wife Elaine bought this house when their family was young as a weekend retreat where they could enjoy boating, swimming and the beauty of nature near the Ocala National Forest. Together they created wonderful memories of family times here in Salt Springs.

Located within the Ocala National Forest, this charming and renovated lakefront 2 bedroom/1 bath cabin on Big Lake Kerr features a a full kitchen, open concept layout, & oversized screened patio. Lake Kerr is a large and beautiful spring fed clear water lake and Salt Springs is a small community providing basic needs away from city congestion. You are welcome to bring your boat or seaplane. Our cabin is cozy and relaxing when you are not hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, bird watching, or canoeing. This is a special and peaceful place for family retreats! If you are staying for a special occasion, please let us know! We look forward to sharing our cabin with you. :-)

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Book your stay with confidence as we will deliver a family friendly experience with the utmost professionalism. This Two bedroom/ one bath house has an oversized screen enclosed porch overlooking Lake Kerr with a charcoal grill. Our cabin features 1 Queen bed, 1 Full bed, Twin Bunk Beds & an additional twin floor mattress.

Kitchen features a full size oven and stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, & new refrigerator/freezer. Open concept layout with a large family room with a nice fireplace and plenty of seating! Enjoy a nice cup of coffee in one of our rocking chairs out on the porch or a lazy afternoon in the hammock.

Sit lakeside by the fire pit and roast some smores (wood for purchase at the Dollar General or Salt Springs Grocery). Have a boat? No problem. Public Boat Ramp is a 6 minute drive. Neighborhood dock is short & quick walk away (as shown in the photo gallery & video tour. Please note , we do not have a private dock. The neighborhood dock is needing some repairs. The HOA will have it completed by March 2022.) We also have outdoor sporting equipment & board games. Washer and Dryer available for use in the outside shed.

For larger groups/families, we have a sister property adjacent to this one. It is a 2 bedroom/1 bath and sleeps up to 6. The VRBO property ID for our sister property is 2206799.
