Great place to stay. Very centrally located the center of town. Within easy walking distance of most all restaurants and shopping. Very clean, well appointed, a real gem in downtown Gettysburg.

Phenomenal location that cannot be beat! You're walking distance to every major shop/museum/attraction/restaurant on Baltimore Street or Lincoln Circle. But, by being at the center of action, you'll hear the traffic/pedestrians all night long. After a while though, it just becomes white noise. The historic building is very clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds. Cool rooms. Plenty of space for our family of three. Hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. We would 100% stay here again!

My wife and I arrive for a long weekend and were pleasantly when we arrived at the house. It was neat, clean, and perfect for two people. There were no noisy neighbors and although it is located on very busy Baltimore Street, pedestrian and vehicle noise wasn't an issue. Especially pleasing to us was the location! We were able to walk to the food and entertainment of downtown or to the shops and museums of the south end of town. If I could suggest one modest change. Replace the table and chairs in the bed/sitting room with a couple of comfortable chairs to sit and relax. Either way we will be booking this property again. Outstanding is all I can say!

Very Historic

This was a great place to stay. Location is fantastic, within walking distance to everything. Apartment was very clean and organized. But you need to remember, this is a historic building, and on the main road. You WILL hear traffic all hours of the night especially trucks. So if you are a light sleeper, this is not for you. I would also suggest maybe some hooks or a place to put your clothes in the bathroom. Kitchen well stocked with pot, pans, dishes. Kuerig coffee maker, toaster and a regular coffee maker if you so choose.Would definitely stay again!

Lovely Apartment in Downtown Gettysburg

Walk to pretty much everything there is to see. Wonderful home, small but perfect for a small family or single person to stay and enjoy.

Great location in the ❤️ of Gettysburg

Spent a week with my young adult children while dropping one off for College. Location is perfect, walking distance to shops and restaurants and also the Battlefield. Will stay here again!

A much anticipated trip.

My husband and I were finally able to take our youngest kids (18 & 21 years old) to see the D.C. area along with Gettysburg. The place is literally on the corner of 2 major roads in town. I was a bit surprised how near the traffic was. It could be noisy at times but did not bother us too much. It may bother others who are light sleepers. We enjoyed the time at Gettysburg and this place worked out for us. It was a little tight feeling in the sleeping space with 4 adults but we had fun. We really enjoyed the full kitchen and how close everything was to the place. We loved just exploring the shops in town after finishing out battlefield tour.

Great location - we were able to walk to many key historical locations. Clean. Bring hair dryer and toiletries. Kitchen nice with ample necessities.

1st floor Very close to the center of town

We stayed for Parents weekend. Everything was clean and as documented/described. We had no issues with our stay. Walkable to all the stores and restaurants in the center of town. Walkable to the Battlefield and Museum if you are conditioned to walks;, it’s a short drive.

Tidy place

It was nice but on a busy road with lots of traffic noise. The street cleaner was very loud and went by several times. Other than that, the place was clean and comfortable

Very Nice Apartment

This apartment is well situated and located on a main spoke of the Gettysburg hub. It’s minutes away from city center and the battlefield. It’s clean and comfortable, being able to comfortably accommodate 4 adults.

Gettysburg getaway

Great little property to stay. Close to many attractions, town square, restaurants. Such a fun little town to visit. My only concern way the security of the doors in the rental. Rear outside door lock was busted and inside from the bedroom wasnt real secure. Contacted property manager about the busted lock and no response the whole trip

Great Property Well Located

The location is PERFECT!! Right downtown and close to everything... park, eating, enjoyment!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The apt was the perfect size... clean and freshly renovated to be up to date but still give you the quaint feel! Loved the location!! Walking distance to everything!! You feel like you are part of the town😊 Ben (host) was very thorough on his communication!! Very nice to work with. Would definitely come back and stay again at the Martin’s apt.

Excellent getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of days in Gettysburg. We were in the middle of everything. Easy walk to the Square and to an array of restaurants, bars, ice cream joints. Parking was great and drive to visitors center was a breeze. Yes, road noise was apparent but not that terrible. Would have appreciated a couch or arm chair more than table w chairs but everyone is different.

This was just such a great experience. Last year we stayed down the road in a traditional hotel and it was very nice, but staying closer to the square in a period building was absolutely amazing! We stayed during the 4th of July and it was great to be able to walk to so many stores and dining locations (grocery store and beer store right down the road as well). Parking on site was easy and the first-floor apt was perfect, with great communication from the property owner. As others have mentioned, there is some road noise, but pretty expected I think. And it was neat to hear local tour guides come by and talk outside :-). We love Gettysburg and will definitely look to book here again when we return.

Great Location. Reviews are honest.

Location & Cleanliness were pretty perfect. My wife can be picky on these, and she was raving about both. I read the reviews before booking, and most are pretty accurate. You will hear traffic and people by the bedroom windows all night. TV was able to drown most of it out. TV could be on a pivot mount that could pull out from the fireplace. (Small concern) And the bed is tough. I would hope that this doesn't dissuade you from booking here. It really is great to walk everywhere, & explore everything that the town has to offer. Just do I as I did, and understand the few drawbacks that come along with many benefits.

Great! (once we got in)

The location was fabulous. It was withing walking distance of most in-town sites: restaurants, shops, and the Gettysburg National Cemetery. One issue with the property was that it is located on a street with a lot of truck traffic. As in, tractor trailers at 4am. It didn't bother us, but if you're a light sleeper you will have issues. The property was great, too, with a full kitchen and stove, and two comfortable beds. Much nicer than motel rooms of comparable price. Our one issue was a big one. We did not understand the keypad entry system. It was a simple mistake on our part, and was easily explained. But we could not reach the property owner. It look a couple of hours before he replied, and we almost rebooked. Afterward, communication was great, but confirm the entry process well before you arrive. All in all, we were very satisfied. If we return to Gettysburg, we will look into renting this property again.

Not quite what we hoped for

I had to reach out to the host to get the check-in information and directions on how to enter the property. We arrived after 9 pm to a property that hadn't been cleaned from the previous guests. After contacting the host, we were given information where to find clean linens and towels. He offered to have the cleaning company come and clean the property, but that would have taken an hour and we just wanted to go to bed. We emptied the garbage and changed the linens. There were no instructions on how to operate the mini-split that provided the cooling and heating. I never did get it figured out using the remote. While I was understanding that the host is a distance away from the property and he doesn't always know if a unit has been cleaned, I was disappointed he offered no monetary compensation for our situation. I certainly didn't expect our whole stay to be reimbursed, it would have meant a lot to me had he offered some remuneration. We also didn't realize that we would hear as much street noise as we did at the property. We didn't get much sleep, unfortunately. The mattress was not very comfortable and the pillows were almost completely flat. We won't be returning to this property.
