Comfortable and spacious

We had a really fun time. Had all we needed and communication with the host was very fast when we had questions. Would happily stay here again.

Not really a spa - great location!

We picked this property because of location and “spa”. The location was wonderful! The hot tub was ridiculous. You couldn’t heat the pool and hot tub at same time. It needs to be fixed or updated. You had to plan when you were going to take hot tub. The lawn chair cushions were moldy. The carpeting could use a good cleaning or replacement. The coffee filter wasn’t cleaned out and had mold in it the first time I went to use it. I received a beach chair/umbrella and towel inventory in a text the night before we were going to leave. We had no plans on taking any towels. I wanted to leave a note for owners, and there was not even a pen or pencil - or scissors. The property could be very nice with some deep cleaning, maintenance and TLC.

Excellent

House was lovely, kitchen was well equipped, pool was fantastic, owners were easy to contact, and responsive. The only problem we had was the hot tub heater quit working right before we arrived - but Fred and Nancy had it replaced before we left. Note that there is no central AC. It wasn’t a problem for us though. First, the house always had a good steady breeze, and second, we’re from South Texas so 80 with no AC beats 110 with AC any day. Thanks, y’all, for a lovely stay in your beautiful home!

Great Pool and Location!

This was a great house for a family staycation. The location is amazing for all the attractions Carlsbad has to offer, although our kids would have been just as happy if we never left the house because they enjoyed the pool so much! The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful pool

We really enjoyed our stay at this home. We spent most of our time outside by the pool. We made good use of the grill. Nancy the owner was very attentive to our needs. I would recommend this rental.

Outstanding

This property is amazing. The house was very spacious. The back yard was paradise. The whole family enjoyed daily swims and comfortable beds after our long outings. Definitely recommend this home. Hosts were easy to contact very nice.

Great fortnight in a lovely setting

This lovely house in a friendly neighbourhood in a truly beautiful part of the world was the backdrop to a 2 week family trip in a part of the world we'd never been to before. Carlsbad is great with easy access to beaches, the "village", San Diego and LA. We did it all. Sure, the kitchen and one of the bathrooms look a little tired in places, but the pool area, communal areas and bedrooms were perfect for our needs. We had an issue with the internet but a quick message to Fred/Nancy and the matter was resolved within hours...in the UK this would have taken days! We laughed a lot which was just what we needed to do after a traumatic year. I don't know if we will be back (it was a one-off for personal reasons) but we will never forget. Thank you

Great comfortable home

We had such a great time in Carlsbad, this home was perfect. We swam in the pool everyday. The location is just 10 mins from legoland, the beach and the outlets. The hosts are very kind, responsive and understanding. Extra bonus include access to the washer, dryer and kuerig!

Fun Family Vacatio

Overall, a great place for a family vacation! The back yard is lovely & a fabulous place to hang out (used the grill). The location is excellent for the places we wanted to go (Legoland & San Diego Zoo). Our only negative was the house needed some indoor updating & air conditioning would have been nice! The owners were kind & accommodating!

Fantastic family home near everything

We very much enjoyed our weeklong stay at this wonderful Aviara home. It's close to everything without being busy or noisy and the hosts respond immediately to questions or concerns. The furnishings and beds are comfy and newer and it's really hard to beat the heated pool and hot tub each night! We will definitely return!

Fabulous place to relax

As a first responder to our pandemic I was hoping to take my first real vacation in 18 months with my family. This house is clean, spacious, has a great pool and spa. It is close to the beach, and is just what we wanted!

Great property

Great location and home. The backyard is fabulous. Inside is a little dated but laid out well. The area around this home is a perfect location with lots to do. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great Location

This house was nice and spacious! Awesome pool and neighborhood. It was a great location to get around to popular locations. (close enough to San Diego, La Jolla, and Oceanside) There’s lots around & plenty to do. We had 7 people and plenty of room to move around and relax.

Beautiful pool and location

Big house, lots of room. Great internet. Great location. Our kiddos had a fab time every day with the heated pool and spa. Host is a lovely couple- very accessible for any questions.

Great family getaway

The pool is really nice, the house is spacious and clean, and the lagoon nearby is an amazing morning walk. The house had kitchen basics, beach towels, etc. The appliances could use updating and it would be nice to have a traditional coffee pot available instead of just a Keurig, but those were minor issues. A really nice stay.
