Y’all… we absolutely loved our stay!!! From the moment we walked in, everything just felt so warm and welcoming. The beds were so comfy, we slept like a dream every night. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could think of (and then some), which made it feel just like home. Check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier. The host was super helpful and so easy to communicate with! Our favorite part of the stay were the amenities! The pools were so easy to get to, especially with the shuttle! Only complaint we had were that the pools were freezing. The big pool was supposed to be heated, but the heater goes out frequently in it. Not the fault of the host, just a heads up! We’ll definitely be back… already looking forward to our next stay!

Wonderful place to get away with family.

We loved the layout of the condo and it’s location. We walked to the beach and the fitness center. Great restaurants were also close. My grandchildren loved feeding the turtles in the lake!

Excellent Stay at Kingston

This property was perfect for our needs. It was very clean, and had all the items we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was great and we were able to use the indoor pool during our stay and visit the beach as well. We could have used one extra frying pan in the kitchen, but other than that, perfect!

Would stay again

Short walk to the beach if you take the paths behind the condo. We also rented a golf cart at the resort. It was very spacious and clean. Great for a large family and very kid friendly. However if you have any issues, the host is very hard to get a hold of.

Very Disappointing Experience: We were very disappointed with our stay at this property in Myrtle Beach. The rental was rated 9 out of 10, so we went into our stay with fairly high expectations.Unfortunately, we found a significant number of dead bugs in 1 of the bedrooms, which made it even more concerning. Even worse, a live bug crawled on my adult son while he was sleeping. That was extremely upsetting and not something anyone expects to experience while staying at a vacation rental.1 of the bedrooms also had a very strong, unpleasant smell. At 1st, we thought the smell was coming from the pillows, so we contacted the owners and they sent us replacement pillows. We appreciated that they responded and tried to address the issue. However, after replacing the pillows, the smell was still there. We eventually realized that the odor was actually coming from the headboard. We purchased several air fresheners during our stay, but unfortunately, nothing worked to get rid of the smell.After we returned home, I looked through other reviews for Kingston Properties and noticed that several properties had reviews mentioning issues with lots of bugs. I want to point out that I did NOT see those reviews before our stay. Our particular rental was rated 9 out of 10, so we had no reason to expect the issues we experienced.While the owners did respond when we brought the pillow issue to their attention, the overall experience was still very disappointing. BEWARE

Clean updated property

Very clean property. Updated. Comfortable beds. Lots of room for everyone. So many amenities we didn't even have the time to explore them all. The pool was fun. So much for the kids to do.

Tasteful villa and relaxing resort atmosphere

The villa is very spacious, well taken care of and of tasteful design. Very quiet area for perfect night sleep. The walk to the beach is twice shorter than mentioned in the description if you take small paths and bridge behind - all shadowed with greeting turtles in the lake. Tons of quality amenities around allow you to enjoy every day in a different way and in any weather. All our multi-age group liked it there and want to come back. The property manager Courtney is extremely helpful both while preparing for the trip and during the stay - hugest thanks for our great quality vacations!!

Beautiful resort. Dirty unit

Kingston is a truly great resort. We had a great timeOverall. Our unit had very nice features like the most comfortable beds we’ve ever had and a very nice kitchen. Plenty of room. The overall cleanliness was not good. For the amount we paid to stay here, I would expect a spotless place. The floors were so dirty we had to wear shoes at all times. Under couches and beds looked like they had never been moved to clean the floors. We had cockroaches inside and they were reported. Nobody was able to come spray while we were there. The deck was so dirty it was unusable. I would have never stayed here for that price had I known it would be so dirty. I did report this all to management who said they would make sure that housekeeping took better care of it in future.

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Kingston Plantation and all that it has to offer, however, we were a bit disappointed in our rental experience this year. The rental unit definitely needs a more thorough cleaning and we did have an issue with bugs during our stay. The management staff was not very responsive to our questions and issues leading up to our stay, during and after. Be prepared to spend a small fortune on food and beverages at the pools and watch for the extra 20% gratuity added to all of your purchases (even at the walk-up window) when ordering food or drinks.

COCKROACHES IN CONDO

We had cockroaches at our condo and no one was able to help, we arrived on a Saturday and noticed the problem the first night, we tried to reach our contact at the Condo and she returned the phone call the next day but because it was during the weekend there was nothing they could do, she said we had to wait until Monday, long story short no one ever check the condo; we went to the customer service of embassy suites and Kingston Plantation and they said they could not help because we did not make our reservation directly with them. Another family that we met there and was staying in the same condos had the same problem. I paid for a nice and clean place to stay with my family and it was not what we got, we would never stay in these condos again.

Vacation stay

We have had the pleasure of leaving great reviews in the past but that isn’t the case with this property. We found out right after we made our final payment the Waterpark wasn’t ready This information should have been disclosed ahead of time. We were given tickets to a nearby Waterpark to accommodate but would have preferred the convenience of what we paid for. The unit was tidy but not what we were expecting for the price. We’ve paid less and stayed in much nicer units. We weren’t able to use the patio- it was dirty. Last but not least we encountered an issue with bugs. We notified someone and they apologized and sent someone to spray but that put a huge damper on our stay. Our daughter was uncomfortable for quite some time after seeing a bug in the kitchen.

Jennifer, I am so sorry that the Embassy Suites pool and Splash waterpark were closed during your stay. This has been a huge remodel for us and unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, there have been a few delays. We have always reached out to our guests as soon as we have been made aware, unfortunately, in your case that happened to be after your final payment. As you mentioned, we did offer tickets to Myrtle Waves as compensation. To be fair, you also had access to many other amenities on-site, including 5 other pools. Good location in Kingston Resort

We have enjoyed Kingston Resort for almost a decade and will return again in the future. The unit we stayed in this time shows very well online. We did not find the value or quality for the money as compared to past stays. If linen quality and pillows are important to you, this is not a good fit. The sheets were extremely rough and pillows were small and firm. They were not of the same quality as the Hilton or Embassy Suite. We requested new sheets - which were brought, but they were still uncomfortable. Thankfully we had family locally who provided us a set. The entry stairs need to be rebuilt. The back porch was very nice but proximity to the drainage pond resulted in mosquitoes at night. Water levels are low so it could be this season. We also had a few palmetto bugs. To be fair, the unit is very nice inside, it has ample room and the HVAC works great. Three baths, updated appliances and a generally quiet location make this is a good choice. However, for what we paid and what we have experienced in the past, we don’t believe it was up to standard. I highly recommend Kingston Resort - it’s a great family vacation and has many amenities. The new water park will make it even better.

Awesome Unit

Family getaway

Rating Details: The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very nice townhouse - kitchen was updated beautifully - bathroom counters were also updated nicely! It was a very quiet community. I personally feel the sheets and towels were lower grade (sheets had holes and picked) as other Kingston properties were in the same $$$, however linens are different quality. It was clean, but if attention was paid to the little things, it would have been great! I'm speaking of sweeping under beds and furniture, wiping off baseboards where they had been mopped against and marked. Need a couple new mattresses, deck nor steps had been cleared of leaves/outdoor debris, some nails were raised on the stairs, which need some repair. Just a little attention would make it awesome!

Hi Donna, I appreciate your review. The condo has been very nicely updated, much more so than most of Kingston Plantation! I will certainly speak with my team about the cleanliness issues, attention to detail is certainly important! I am glad you mentioned the sheets, we are in the process of upgrading our sheets and I will see about doing the towels as well. Awesome villa for a relaxing beach get away

Absolutely loved this Villa. It has everything you need and more! The location was perfect as it’s located in the middle of all Myrtle Beach has to offer. The property itself has plenty to keep you busy during your stay and is absolutely beautiful. The villa was so spacious, very clean, had plenty of towels and toiletries provided, and the staff was available to help whenever needed via text or call. Our contact Courtney was amazing and so very helpful. Definitely, will stay here again! Great value for all the space and amenities! Highly recommend for a relaxing Myrtle Beach getaway!

Great place

We had a wonderful stay, we all loved the house and the area was great, close to everything we wanted to do, we will for sure be back again
