We have to admit, the 78° checkout comment is one of the STRANGEST pieces of feedback we’ve ever received! Setting the thermostat to 78° when leaving is literally one of the only things we ask guests to do at checkout besides taking out the trash. There are several reasons for it, including that our cleaners routinely air out the house while cleaning, which was especially necessary after the fishy smells left behind following this particular stay. It’s also our little version of Van Halen’s famous brown M&M rule... If that reference makes absolutely no sense, look up the story and you’ll understand exactly why such a simple checkout request can actually be useful! And just to clarify the other point, our pet fee is $75. Unfortunately, Vrbo adds its own commission, processing fees and applicable taxes on top of charges, so what ultimately appears on a guest’s bill can really add up. We appreciate the compliments about Dolphin Cove and hope you’ll give Ocean Isle Getaways another visit!
