Perfect weekend stay!

We were there for a lacrosse tournament- the house is impeccable - unbelievably clean and plenty of space for 3 adults and 3 kids. We loved the screened in porch and easy access to stores and restaurants. We will be back!

Labor Day Weekend Family Trip

Property was exactly as described. New, nice, clean and comfortable! It had everything we needed! We found the beach chairs and umbrellas especially convenient. Host was very generous and responsive! We would not hesitate to stay there again!

Beautiful home, nice location,nice and quiet Could have used more towels, not complaining we did bring some with us. Traffice is a bit crazy but all in all we all enjoyed our stay.

Excellent! Super Clean! Great Location!

We had a lovely vacation at Captain Jack’s. The house is newer and extremely clean. I am a clean freak, and this place passed my inspection. The house is conveniently located near the Tanger Outlets, Rehobath Beach Boardwalk, great restaurants and more! We loved Lewes Beach because it is a bit less crowded, although we enjoyed all the surrounding beaches. Overall great place to stay!

Perfect Vacation Spot

We absolutely loved our stay at “Carl Jacks” in Rehobeth! The location to local spots (food, activities, shopping, etc) was perfect! Such a quick drive to the beach/boardwalk and just about anywhere we wanted to go. The home was beautiful and exceeded our expectations - clean, spacious, and felt like home! Communication with owners was easy and always quick, which helped make our travels even easier. We especially appreciated the added touch of recommendations for our stay. Absolutely would recommend and hope to be back one day!

Beach Get Away

We were looking for a 4 day get away and the house worked out great for us. It was a 10 minute ride to the beaches and downtown Lewes. Great time!

This was a very nice house; loved the layout of the house. It was super clean. The covered deck area was awesome. The location was great -very convenient to shopping. We all enjoyed our stay and would love to revisit in the future.

Home away from home

We found this house last minute after Hurricane Debby derailed our original vacation plans. The house was beautiful, better than the desription. Spotless when we arrived. Check in was super easy and the owner was so nice to work with. He even gave us great restaurant and beach recommendations. Just a short drive to multiple beaches and Rehoboth boardwalk. Dunkin within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Delaware!

Convenient and Comfortable

Handily located between Lewis and Rehoboth. Bike trails are Accessible. The property is spacious and clean. Lots of Special touches from the host that made the experience top rate !

Outstanding accomodations!

My family had a lovely mid-week stay at Carl Jacks! It's located on a quiet street within walking distance to grocery stores and entertainment. All the rooms were spotless and well-supplied, including basic beach gear and information about attractions. We absolutely loved the comfy screened porch! Our hosts were prompt and helpful with communicating. Our stay could not have been any better!

10/10 Excellent house, host and location

We are very impressed with Carl Jack’s! Very clean, amenities are complete. Elegant decor. Beds are comfortable. The open layout is great for socialization and rooms offer privacy. Screened back porch comfortable. Grill provided. Location close to the beach, outlet stores, groceries,movie house and numerous great restaurants. Mike quickly responds to questions. This place is a gem! Highly recommended!

Home away from home

This trip was a last minute getaway for our family after 3 plus years. Feel so fortunate to find Mike’s home. Mike’s a great host! It was a perfect place for us, clean, well stocked and relaxing. We will definitely stay at this property again. Located near many restaurants, easy to get to the beach. We felt completely at home.

Wonderful Family Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carl Jack’s. The check-in and communication with the owner was smooth and informative. The convenient and quiet location, spacious floor plan and clean /comfortable accommodations puts this on the top of our list of places we would like to stay again. The screened-in porch was very relaxing and one of our favorite places to hang out! 10++

Comfortable, clean and well managed

Our family of four with two adult children stayed for three nights in this well maintained and comfortable house. The location is very convenient for those who want to visit Cape Henlopen and Lewes as well as Rehoboth. It was great to have beach chairs and umbrellas available. We enjoyed the new grill one night and found the kitchen well equipped. Everything worked well and we would be pleased to return.

Fabulous, immaculate house.

This is a gorgeous house. Located near an empty lot, very quiet. Host was very accommodatingand generous re: check-in, check-out times. Located between Rehoboth and Lewes and Very close to Shopping Outlets in tax-free Deleware. Should have left more time for bargain shopping. Will have to come back!

Absolutely Beautiful!

This house was obviously just built or remodeled recently. Everything in it looked beautiful!!! The owner was wonderful and very pleasant! I would recommend this to anyone for a vacation!!!! U will be pleasantly surprised!!!! I was VERY BERY PLEASED!!! I don’t have enough good things to say about this place!!!

Had a great family vacation! Owner was responsive when asked questions, and had lots of information about the area. House was like being at home. Loved screened in porch area, open floor plan, and available beach chairs and umbrella. Outside shower was convenient for sandy days. Master bedroom and bathroom spectacular. Highly recommend. Location is great. Clean and well kept.

Supersedes Expectations

Communication is superb. Michael answers all questions quickly prior to and during my stay. Check in process was very easy. Beautiful , updated home that is very spacious and inviting. Absolutely love the screened porch. Feels like a home away from home. Perfect location. Many stores including, Dunkin Donuts and supermarket is down the block and walking distance. Beach is a few miles away as well. Looking forward to staying here on my future vacations to Rehoboth :-)

Even better than the pictures!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Carl Jacks. The house was comfortably appointed with a large sectional sofa, long wood dining table with plenty of chairs, lots of natural light, modern and functional kitchen, multiple ceiling fans, and a lovely screened porch. Each bedroom had a television. There was an open deck and gas grill as well. The location was ultra-convenient. Walking distance to restaurants, movies, a water park, and Dunkin for that morning cup of coffee. The grocery store is directly across Route 1. We were a short drive to both Rehobeth Beach and Lewes Beach (our preferred beach!). The house also included a game closet, which we took advantage of during our trip. Everything was meticulously clean. Highly recommend for your next visit!

Excellent stay

We had a great stay at Carl Jacks. Mike was a great host and responded quickly to our questions. The house is very nice and has everything you need. We enjoyed the screened in porch in particular. It was also great to have access to beach chairs and umbrellas. It's a different beach experience to stay a few miles away from the actual beach, but overall it was not an issue. One advantage is that it's halfway between Rehoboth and Cape Henlopen State Park. If going into Rehoboth, parking at Deauville beach was easy and plentiful during the week (apparently it's much busier on weekends). Same with Herrington Point in Cape Henlopen State Park. We really enjoyed this beach in particular. There's plenty of parking, it's a very chill vibe, and dogs are allowed. No concession stand, but we really enjoyed it. We were able to find parking in Rehoboth in the evenings when we went down for dinner, and it's not too expensive. Matt's Fish Camp and Fin's nearby to Carl Jacks both have oyster happy hours as well. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at Carl Jacks.

Husband & Wife, Mike & Diane Hurff acquired the adjacent property to CarlJacks in 2013 as an eventual retirement destination. It did not take long to fall in love with the area! We have many experiences with the resturant scene, biking/walking trails thoughout Cape Henlopen State Park, shopping, breweries and are enthusiastic about sharing our experieinces with all of our guests. We would love to be of assistance anyway we can and if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable we are eager to listen!!
