Welcome to NATURE WALK Lake House at beautiful Sunset Ridge on Barren River Lake. This unique home offers two separate living quarters separated by a common covered breezeway. Each suite has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths for a total of 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, offering social distancing at its very best. NATURE WALK is PERFECT for large groups or two families and has the most beautiful sunsets on Barren River Lake (seasonal). The two living quarters share a common screened breezeway and deck. INCREDIBLE lake front home with new steps leading straight down to the lake. An aluminum DOCK on deep water is perfect for fishing, swimming or kayaking. This property has a private tennis court with half court basketball goal, pickleball, fire pit, pool table, and a shed full of outdoor games.

Nature Walk is just over a mile from Bailey’s Point Campground, Boat Ramp and Picnic area with a working dairy farm right across the street. Barren River State Park/Lodge is within 10 miles. There are several marinas nearby for boat rentals and all your fishing needs: Barren River State Marina, Narrows Marina, and Walnut Creek Marina. Day trips from this location include: Mammoth Cave National Park, Bowling Green, Beech Bend Amusement Park, Nashville TN, National Corvette Museum, Kentucky Down Under, Western Kentucky University, The MINT Gaming Hall in BG and Franklin, KY. Many Distilleries and Winery's also within driving distance.

Great property with everything you are looking for! We had 12 of us in for a lake weekend and was able to fit everyone comfortably and had plenty of space for games and activities. And to top it off, it’s a scenic location and a fun spot for the lake, camping, etc. Cindy is an awesome host and you can tell they take care of the home and really care about offering a great experience!

This is an excellent property on Barren River Lake. It is clean, comfortable and full of outdoor amenities. Cindy is a very responsive host and left us with s'more supplies, popcorn and other surprises. Perfect arrangement for 2 families vacationing together or extended families who might want a quiet side and a more lively side. Very convenient for boat rental from the state park marina. This was our second stay here and we really enjoyed it. Grandkids were not ready to leave!

WOW!! The place was very clean, plenty of towels. Beds were comfortable. Lots of pots, pans, dishes and assorted condiments. She was very quick in responding to questions. AC & WiFi worked great, good water pressure. Lots of games for that rainy day and lots of info for stuff to do in the area. We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

The house was set up perfectly for our family reunion as there was plenty of space for everyone to either be together or have their own space for awhile. I was initially concerned about how close the lake might be to the house because we have young children. But the reality is the lake is down a relatively long staircase and since the lake water level is very low, it did not become an issue. The host had set up a Fairy Garden search for our kids that they thoroughly enjoyed, prompting them to make a fairy house of their own - great outdoor adventures. She had a resource list of everything to do in the area as well as store info which was also helpful.Overall, a good choice for us.

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house on Barren River Lake! Every year we do an annual “swarming” with my dad’s brother and sister and their spouses — kind of like a mini family reunion — and this home was perfect for our group of four adult couples.One of the things we loved most was that everyone could enjoy their own private bathroom while still having plenty of spaces to gather together. We spent our evenings around the fire pit sharing stories and laughs, and enjoyed meals together around the large table, which made the trip feel extra special.The location was also great for exploring the area. We had a fun time visiting the Amish Markets and enjoyed a great meal at Rusty’s Lakeside Pub.The house was comfortable, welcoming, and exactly what we hoped for for our family getaway. We made wonderful memories here and would definitely stay again!

We rented this space for a family reunion over an extended weekend. The house was clean and well kept. Everything worked well and Cindy was easily accessible when we had a small issue, which she resolved quickly. The lake levels were low when we visited (something to check if it is important to you), but it still provided ample opportunity for skipping rocks with the kids and we had a great family pickleball tournament. We had a great time and would come again if we visit the area.

Great place to stay!!

We had a wonderful time staying here. The host was very responsive when we reached out with questions and personalized our stay! The house was very clean and well stocked. We spent many hours out front playing pickle ball!

Best Lake House on Barren River Lake

This is the third year in a row my family has stayed in the Nature Walk. The size, location, set up, and well stocked kitchen, make it perfect for our group. Checkin is always easy and the amenities as described in the listing. We’ll be back next summer!
