Charming OBX Getaway - Steps from the Beach!

Welcome to this beautiful and newly renovated beach house in Kill Devil Hills. This home will provide all of the necessary amenities for a fun stay at the beach!

- Beach access is a leisurely 2-minute walk from the front door. Located just one-block off the beach!

- House is located close to Avalon Pier (a great walking destination on the beach), but in an area where the lots are larger, providing plenty of space for outdoor enjoyment while you're at home.

- This is a highly desirable area of Kill Devil Hills- Restaurants, bars, shops, local coffee shops, attractions, historic sites, trails, fitness centers, and much more surround this home! Perfect location for fun and activities, or just spending the day relaxing on the beach or visiting the Sound side of the island. We enjoy walking to Ashley's Cafe or Mom's Sweet Shop for coffee, smoothies, and more.

- 3 Bedrooms with a total of 2 queen size beds and 1 set of bunk beds.

- 2 Full Bathrooms.

- Spacious and open living room and dining areas. Tons of natural sunlight will pour into the home. We enjoy opening the windows allowing the ocean breeze to flow through the house, and to listen to the waves roll in.

- Outdoor Shower.

- High Speed WiFi / Internet.

- Central Heating/Air

- TV: ROKU device provided- use your own streaming service account and log out before your leave. That is all the TV's are good for (no cable TV services). TV in living room does have a DVD player and there are a few Redboxes nearby if interested. We encourage you to get outside to enjoy the beach and support local businesses!

- Beach wagon, beach tent/canopy, beach chairs (4-5), a few board games, one or two adult beach games, and beach toys provided!

- "Pack N Play" available in bedroom.

- Charcoal grill and basic grilling tools on site.

- Keurig available in kitchen. Might have some K-Cups provided (while supplies last).

- Be sure to check out the stars on a clear night!

****Additional Information****

- A basic bed and bath linen service is provided for a fee which is automatically included at check out. Linens do not include beach towels! Please bring towels for the beach.

- Guests will be responsible for any damage incurred during their stay.

- No clothes washer/dryer on the property. Laundromats and laundry services are nearby.

- No pets allowed.

Great spot for a long weekend

We had a really nice time. The place is very well situated and located close to restaurants and shops. The beach is a short walk and the provided cart and tent was really really nice. Our 12-year-old said that the bottom bunk mattress was uncomfortable but other than that everything was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect vacation spot

We had the best stay at this beach cottage. The distance to the beach was great especially with our two littles. I loved that there were two separate living areas, one of which was helpful for us to be able to watch tv and not wake the kids. Would highly recommend this place to anyone-more specifically families with kids! The hosts are super responsive and kind. Would definitely stay here again.

100 Steps to the Beach

Comfortable house in a prime location only steps from the beach. Plenty of space inside for those rainy beach days. Enjoyed the coffee shop just a short walk away. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a short walk to the beach and to a local ice cream shop. The house was the perfect size for us.

Great house close to the beach.

Stayed a week with two kids (14 and 18). Great house few minutes walk from the beach. Recommended.

Great stay

My young family had a great stay at the beach house. It is walking distance to the beach and coffee shop. There was plenty of space for my family of 4 and having two separate living areas was nice. The only negative feedback is the lack of washer and dryer but they are upfront about it in the listing. Overall we had a great stay and would return in the future!

Adorable Beach House

This property is adorable. It was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of living space. Love the outside shower. The children enjoyed their breakfast on the back deck every morning. Our family would definitely stay here again. The walk to the beach was great. Best vacation we've had in a while. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us.

Awesome Beach Vibe/Good location

This was our second stay in this house. It is decorated very cute with a great beachy vibe. The owners are nice and they communicate everything you need to know. It is a 3 min walk to the beach and very easy to return to the rental if you forget something. There is an out door shower so that you can clean up before you go in the house and this is very convenient. We like staying here and had another great visit!

Best beach vacation

We had a wonderful vacation. Weather was perfect. House had plenty of room and was very clean and tidy. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds and couches were comfy. Quiet street. Just a short/easy walk to the beach. Highly recommend!

Great time!

We had a great time here! The house is close to everything you need and right near a beach access too. We ate at soooo many great places and the house has amenities for cooking/grilling (which we did one night!) Would definitely recommend to a friend and come back!

Classic Kill Devil Hills Cottage

We decided to go to the beach somewhat last minute at the end of summer for four days. We found the listing and it provided what we expected and better. It’s a cottage that has been reasonably updated with good beach access. The proximity to the coffee shop, ice cream, brew thru, putt putt, go carts was great. It was very clean.

Minor Issues

The overall stay was great!! Just a few minor things. 1. Front right burner on stove did not work. 2. We paid for linen package but did not receive any for the kitchen. 3. No extra blankets available. 4. Bunkbeds are basically unsleepable, thank goodness for nice couches.

Outer Banks Trip

What a perfect location and house! We had so much fun and it’s extremely close to the beach. The owners have beach toys for the kiddos and many other things in the house to make you comfortable. The house is walking distance to many locations and the cutest local coffee shop. We had a 4 year old and 1 year old with us and the house was easy with them. Thank you for opening your home to us we couldn’t have had a better stay!!

Great Vacation!

We had a wonderful stay! House was very clean. It was the perfect size for our family of 5. Outdoor shower was great for the kids. We loved the location-walks to the beach was easy- was really nice to be able to walk to get coffee. So many restaurants close by- we really loved Chilli Peppers Costal Grille and Mulligans Grille. We also loved going to Bodie Island Lighthouse, Jennetts Pier and the Wright Brothers Monument. My kids loved the house and want to stay here again!!

First Time in the Outer Banks

We had a fantastic first time Outer Banks experience at this property! The house had a great layout with a space for everyone to relax on their own while still feeling like we were together. (With two teens, we all need our own space sometimes.) The house had everything we needed, and was conveniently located. We enjoy going to the beach every day, and it was just a short block away. Delicious restaurants for dinner were within a short driving distance. The Wright Brothers Memorial is very close by, and other Outer Banks attractions - like The Lost Colony and the Cape Hatteras Light House - while further out were still reasonable drives. The house was very cute and comfortable, and we were really able to relax there. Best of all, the owners were quick to respond and helpful the few times we had questions. Excellent experience.

Laundry

We had a great time, made good memories, and had a good vacation. Would address the laundry issue mentioned in other comments. The laundromat wasn't close, we had to wait for a machine and was a distraction from the vacation. The grill looked like it needed replaced and what was needed to use it wasn't stocked. Would replace with a gas grill. Would also better stock the trash bags, toilet paper and paper towels.

Perfect family getaway

We had a wonderful time at this property! It was our first time in the OBX and it did not disappoint. The property was perfect for our family (my 70 year old mom, my husband and I and our 4 year old and 2 year old). The proximity to the beach was ideal! We went for a quick walk to see the sunrise 2 mornings and enjoyed time playing with the kids on the beach. The yard and deck was also nice for the kids to run around. The fact that a pack n play and beach toys and wagon were available was such a bonus for us! The kitchen/living area was perfect for us to prep food and keep an eye on kids playing too. The house and amenities were just as described and perfect for our family. Highly recommend this location and home for families with young kids! Thank you!

Excellent Property and Location

This house is everything they've dreamed of and more. This is a place for their family to enjoy too, and they look forward to sharing their little piece of paradise with you!

Run to the Sound for a workout, walk down the beach to the Pier, and walk to local shops and eateries for food and drinks. Listen to the waves crashing at night under the stars! The house is a simple place, yet there is so much to do and enjoy.
