Snorkel A Shipwreck...Two Ships Are On The Bottom Just Off The Beach!!

Two Shipwrecks are Just Offshore. Great snorkeling. Walk to the beach in 3 minutes.

3 MINUTE WALK TO THE BEACH!! Our house is named “PADI-SHACK” after the Professional Association of Diving Instructors...the owners are avid scuba divers and we love to share our experiences with our guests. Our guests often like to go out to the shipwreck with us and we enjoy being "tour guides". And, we have MANY friends that we have acquired over the years who are here for large parts of the summer. You'll be welcomed into the "family"....and YOU WILL LOVE IT.

Padi-Shack has three bedrooms, two baths, and a screened in porch just off the kitchen. There are ocean views from the upper decks, and there is a lovely ground level deck with patio furniture and an OBX style swing. The owners don’t live far away and we will do anything we can to make this your best vacation EVER!

PLEASE NOTE...we do not supply linens or paper products. A full week (Saturday to Saturday) is required during prime time rental periods. Off season check-ins and visits are
very flexible, requiring a minimum of only 2 nights!

WE REQUIRE KNOWING THE AGES OF ALL PARTIES THAT WILL BE VISITING! WE HAVE NEIGHBORS THAT LOOK AFTER OUR HOME. IF YOU ARE OF HIGH SCHOOL AND/OR COLLEGE AGE, YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE ACCOMPANYING YOU THAT ARE ABOVE THE AGE OF 30 YEARS OLD! NO EXCEPTIONS.

Great house in excellent location

This was a perfect place for our family. We only had 4 people, but it could easily accommodate more. With bedrooms right off the common area it was easy for everyone to communicate, but there was plenty if room so it didn't feel cramped. The location is excellent- 2 grocery stores in walking distance as well as the beach itself. Also plenty of restaurant options. Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Memorial are very close by which are great for families. We really appreciated the kitchen with quality cookware and every kitchen gadget you could need. We do a lot of cooking and it's always disappointing to find cheap cookware and utensils. The dishwasher was silent - that's a big deal in a house as open as this. No need to wait for the middle of the night to run the dishwasher. Roku on all televisions was great- so easy to watch whatever we're accustomed to.The carpet and bathrooms were a little shabby, but for us that was a plus - we have kids, and it can be way too stressful when everything is pristine. We'd definitely like to stay at this house again when we next travel to that part of the coast!

Easy weekend

This rental is close to everything but it felt quiet and relaxing. Check in was the easiest I ever had and we weren't saddled with a million responsibilities for the property. We had a great weekend.

Family Time

Absolutely loved this home! Very clean, comfy, and spacious with several great gathering areas. Well stocked kitchen - you'd be hard pressed to find something not available! Great location with short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!!!

Wonderful stay!

We stayed at this location for a week for our family vacation, and it was a wonderful week! Great location that’s a short walk to the beach and in KDH so accessible to Manteo and much of the OBX. It’s a cute home with a good layout - nice outdoor area for grilling out. The owners were very nice and responsive before and during our stay. We would definitely stay again!

Great location, but updates needed

Location is very convenient to grocery stores and lots of tourist attractions, quiet neighborhood about a block and a half from the beach House could use some remodeling and updating - carpet is stained, walls need to be patched and repainted, some windows are missing screens and screens need to be installed on screened in porch, cobwebs on bedroom walls, Wi-Fi is spotty (cut in and out) Living room furniture and beds were comfortable, water temperature and pressure was good, kitchen was well stocked with food prep equipment, owners were responsive to questions and concerns

A great cottage for a great weekend.

Short and sweet

We had a two night stay and enjoyed our time. It’s close to the ocean and activities. The kitchen is well stocked. It is tidy, aside from the carpets and some hard to reach dust. Randy was a great host and we will keep it on our short list for future beach trips!

Now, we live just a few miles away in Southern Shores, and we want to share this cottage with guests.
