Great old school beach cottage in beautiful Kill Devil Hills. This one is not your typical beach box home. It has all the character of the fine homes built on the outer banks years ago. Knotty pine walls, floors, and ceilings are absolutely breathtaking. This home is located near milepost 10 which is almost middle of the outer banks ocean area. This area may also be refered to as the OBX (outer banks). You are close to EVERYTHING. 5 minute walk to the beach (across the street). 5 minutes to Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, Wright Brothers Memorial. A great day trip would be to drive down the beach and really see the best that the outer banks has to offer. Short drive through the Rodanthe, Waves, Salvo, and Hatteras areas takes you to the ferry and a 30 minute trip over to Ocracoke. This would really be an incredible day trip adventure.

Home has 3 full bedrooms (2 are extremely Over-Sized), 1 King Bed, 1 Queen, 1 double, and a Bunk bed that sleeps 3. Two full baths and and over sized outside shower as well. Pet friendly. Non-Smoking.

We provide comforters, pillows, and blankets but guests are required to bring their own sheets, towels, linens, and toiletries.

We absolutely love staying here! The house is clean and it’s only a short walk/drive to the beach! The kitchen has everything you need and the host is very responsive with any questions we may have during our stay. We can’t wait to visit again!

This was a nice property, a perfect fit for me and my kids. It had all of the amenities that we needed, and it was clean, as expected. I loved the proximity to the public beach access. Communication with the owner was always great and fast. He even gave us some good recommendations for restaurants and activities. We had a lovely stay, and we would certainly book here again if we visit OBX in the future.

We had a great time during our stay. The home is pet friendly so my son’s was able to bring his dog which was great. Dogs are allowed in the beach before 9 am and after 6. The kitchen had the basic supplies we needed to make meals on the days we didn’t go out to eat. The location is great - easy walking distance to the beach, several restaurants and some stores. The beds are really comfortable. I loved sitting on the porch swing enjoying an iced tea and reading my book. We had such a great time!

The house was FILTHY upon check in. I’ve never stayed in a house this poorly prepared for guests. There were noinstructions for how to use the living room TV, light fixtures didn’t work and the main level was too dark. The mattress covers were stained and the king mattress cover had to be immediately washed before the linens could be put on. I would NEVER stay here again nor recommend this location. My family has been traveling to the OBX for 10 years. I also have pictures as proof of the lack of cleanliness.

Wow! not sure what went wrong here but our first notice of any of these things from the guest was after check out. Even after sending multiple emails to check on arrival as well as the stay, nothing until after leaving. We try really hard as hosts to respond to any issues immediately. We cannot always control problems but we can control how we respond to them. How truly sad that this guest felt the need to bash us after the stay thru the worst review we have ever received in over 600 guests yet never gave us a chance to correct any issues. It should also be noted that our housekeeper of almost 10 years noted the house smelled terrible and had pet hair everywhere after this guest left the house. We always value honest feedback on the house, condition, or us as hosts but we will not refund ANY stays after check out unless we are notified during the stay and given an opportunity to correct them. Hopefully our future guests see the reviews before and after this on when making their decision on a vacation booking.

This beach house has great location, its great value for your money. Very cozy, the perfect vintage charm like OBX houses use to be. They have everything you need. The owners were VERY helpful an very informative with very fast reponses whenever we had questions. Excellent communication. We will be staying here again in the future!

We had a great stay; the house is exactly as described. It’s an older beach house but clean and everything functioned as expected. It’s a great location within walking distance to the beach and some great food spots!

Summer vibes

Amazing location

Our group of 5 adults had the best time at this beach house. The house itself is fun and vintage. The location is the best close to the beach, restaurants, breweries and just about anything you could want.

Comfy beach house

It was well stocked and we found the accommodations very comfortable. Close to the beach and within walking distance to shops and food places. Quiet neighborhood as well.

Great Location For A Long Weekend

Great communication from owners. Short walk to the ocean. Location was pet friendly which is important to us as we love to travel with our furry family member!

The day we closed on this property didnt seem real to either one of us. Now our kids Seth and Monica love it as much as we do.
