There is so much to see and do when staying at the Shell Bay Cottage! The pristine Stone Harbor, Avalon and Wildwood beaches, restaurants and shopping are minutes away. The Cottage is on a bay front street with public water access, the perfect spot to drop a kayak, boat or paddle board! The pier at the end of the street provides great opportunities for birding and crabbing. Within walking distance to 2 golf courses and historic Cape May is a quick 15-20 min drive away. Don’t miss the Cape May County Zoo, which is 5 minutes down the road! This cozy beach cottage is the perfect affordable spot for your shore vacation no matter your interests! We are located near a main road, however, our .25 acre lot is completely fenced in and the backyard dining area has an additional privacy fence for evening dinners and firepit time!

Linens and towels not provided, as is standard for most Jersey shore rentals. Linens and towels can be rented here https://www.linenfairies.com. All TVs have Roku guest mode enabled to allow guests to stream their favorite apps. No Saturday check-ins due to cleaners schedule unless approved by owner on individual booking basis. Just right!

We were in the area to visit with family and friends. Shell Bay cottage was a comfortable, cozy cottage in a good location. The host was extremely helpul and responsive. We would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful experience!

My husband and I stayed with our adult daughter in Dec and absolutely loved our experience! Jessica was so communicative and helpful and the house had everything we needed and it all worked great. Location was great and close to our family, and we loved going to the Cape May holiday parade and other holiday celebrations there. We will definitely be back as this house works really well for our needs. Can’t wait to visit in summer!

Weekend at the Beach

Cozy cottage well stocked and comfortable. Great outdoor shower! Location gives convenient access to many activities. Owners were very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cottage!

This was our first time to visit Stone Harbor and had no idea where to book a stay for our family. We made a great choice when we booked Shell Bay Cottage! There's always a bit of doubt when you arrive somewhere to stay sight unseen - will everything be as described? will the A/C work? will it look like the pix? No worries here! The cottage was excellant! No concerns or worries, no unexpected negative surprises! Everything worked great- including good water pressure and plenty of warm water for our family of 4 to shower one after the other! The bathroom is small, but definately adequate. My husband is a big guy (3-4X) he was fine in the bathroom space! A short 15 minute non-stressful drive to SH and we didn't need to break the bank for nice accomodations! So happy we found this place! And thank you Jessica for your attention to detail and keeping in touch!

Perfect for our small family! Breakfast on the patio, easy access to highway to Avalon/Stone Harbor, plenty of cooking supplies, cozy, clean! We’ll do it again! Amazing owner communicated easily and very patient! Just outstanding in every way! Our first VRBO!

Wonderful cozy home!

We had a great times staying here. The host was super communicative and one step ahead with all the info you needed for you stay. The house was adorable and we really loved all the little touches. We had a peaceful and relaxing stay and would definitely come bacj agaibmback again.

Great central location!

We were very pleased with our stay on Shell Bay Ave. Our vacation plan was to explore a few different areas so we were very pleased with the central location between Cape May/Wildwood and Stone Harbor/Avalon. The cottage was a perfect size for our family. The outdoor shower was a big hit with my husband and the kids! Having access to the beach chairs, umbrella and beach cart was a huge plus! As noted in previous reviews, the traffic noise can be a bit loud at times but with the sound machines we brought it was not an issue. We would definitely recommend this cozy spot for a small family!

Cozy Cottage

We had such a comfortable and wonderful stay here! The space was surprisingly spacious with 5 adults and a toddler! It was also so clean and well-stocked. The location was great; everywhere we needed or wanted to go was 10 minutes or less away! Jessica was a lovely host and very communicative! Overall, a fabulous weekend here!

Great stay! A real gem!

We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed this property. It is so clean and well stocked! The backyard area is amazing plus there is an outside shower. We loved the convenience of the washer and dryer in the home. It’s comfortable and beautifully decorated in a shore house theme! We will definitely be back! Loved the location and atmosphere of the area!!

Great little place!

House was great, clean and location was perfect for us. Had a wedding in the area and we were so happy to be close to everything. Host was very sweet and had great communication from start till end. Thank you for having us, would love to book again during beach season!

Jersey Shore Vacation

We had the most wonderful time! My husband and came up to visit our grandchildren and family. The house was in the perfect location. Just a short walk from a dock, which the kids loved! We visited the Wildwood Beach and Stone Harbor Beach, went to the Surfing Pig for dinner one night, which we highly recommend. Had dinners with family. The cottage couldn’t have worked out any better for our stay. It looks small, but the outside shower was the best compliment to the one adorable bathroom. The kitchen complimented by the beautiful quartz countertops was very well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and had just enough space. We will stay there again!

Lovely location

Absolutely loved the location of this cute and clean cottage. Our family of 5 was able to enjoy beautiful sunsets and crabbing from the local dock, enjoy the sand and waves of Avalon, and the shopping and lighthouse at Cape May less than 20 minutes away. Perfect place to stay for a family getaway to the Jersey shore!

Nice cottage, very clean

The owners did a great job updating an older property. We were in town visiting family and this was very convenient to everything we wanted to do in Stone Harbor and Avalon. The outdoor shower is fantastic for post-beach! The kitchen is very nicely updated and there are plenty of thoughtful touches. The owners are fantastic about communication and give very clear info about the use of the property while you’re there—much appreciated! Check-in and check-out was incredibly easy. The only drawback is the location, which they are very upfront about. The house is right next to the on and off ramps for the parkway so there is fairly constant noise from that. We travel with white noise machines and small fans, so we were able to sleep once we got used to it. The owners do provide earplugs in a welcome bag (along with a couple of detergent pods, new dish sponge, etc), so again they are very thoughtful!

Wonderful Spot!

My family and I had a great time staying here! The place was very clean and exactly as described, and the check in process was super easy. Super convenient to the zoo and to grocery stores/shops in the area. Also was only about a 10 minute drive to the beach in Stone Harbor. We can't wait to go back!

Great for exploring the area

My wife, toddler, and I had a great five-night stay at the Shell Bay Cottage. It was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable for us. The location is perfect if you want to explore different shore points - Cape May, Wildwood, Stone Harbor, Avalon, and Sea Isle City are all a very short drive away.

Hidden Gem

What a great home. It is deceptively large and accompanied our family of 5 comfortably. The bay at the end of the road may have the best sunrise in the country.

My husband and I purchased this property because we love the Avalon and Stone Harbor beaches and this street is perfect with its walkability to town and the bay access. We have four year old twins and wanted to give them the same love of the shore as we have!

Renovated in the Fall of 2020, this cottage has new floors throughout, a brand new eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances, kitchen nook and TV. It boasts a modern bathroom with a brand new tankless hot water heater and city water pressure, and a large family room for relaxing and unwinding, complete with washer and dryer. The master bedroom sports a king bed and a wall mounted TV, while the second bedroom has two twin beds. The family room couch provides additional sleeping space with a queen pullout. The cottage has a brand new mini split multi-zone heating and air conditioning units in the master, family room and main kitchen area. Outside you will enjoy an oversized yard with a beautiful outdoor eating space on the back patio. Don’t miss your chance to shower under the stars with our brand new outdoor shower and deck.
