House was very roomy with a nice layout. Yard was larger than we expected. Lots of room to play games and just feet from the lake. We made use of the many yard games in the shed. We had a graduation lunch and parking was plentiful. And nothing beats an evening firepit lakeside. I definitely recommend.

Lakeside family reunion

Lovely, serene setting on the lake with easy proximity to Skaneateles. Overall just what we hoped for.

Our visit was perfect! The house was very comfortable, and the lawn and porch were perfect to spend most of our time outside and for our kids to run around/be in the lake. It was great to have so many ways to enjoy the lake with kayaks, paddleboards, etc. Victoria was super helpful and so responsive to any question. Highly recommend this property!

Relaxing stay

Had a great time at the lake house! Kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to cook a meal for a big group! Everyone had a great time out on the water and relaxing on the back deck. Owner was very responsive with answers to quick questions!

Magical setting

Our stay was perfect! It was so lovely to wake up every morning to the lake. It was quiet and peaceful. There is a fabulous town called Skaneateles that is 10 minutes away - it had great restaurants and shops, wine store- it was a really beautiful town on the lake. Overall wonderful stay!

Relaxing time at a fantastic lake house.

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the spacious property. Despite the rains each day, we were able to enjoy the outdoors including the firepit and covered deck in the morning and evenings. Great local recommendations by Victoria. The property being quite close to the charming town of Skaneateles was a treat as we visited it a few times.

Victoria our host was amazing and super attentive. I had several questions about the house and the area prior to our trip and she was so helpful and her replies were always prompt. The house was beautiful and very clean when we arrived. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy the festivities for my daughter’s bachelorette party!

It was the perfect spot for our October family gathering. Unfortunately, the lake was on the dry side so those who kayak were a bit disappointed. No fault of the host. The rooms were spacious and spotless. Highly recommend!

The house was great, the photos gave the illusion there were four bedrooms but it was listed as 3 so that was a little confusing. The bedrooms were all great , 3 full bathrooms made it easy for us to get ready for our family wedding in the area. The deck and many chairs in the yard were perfect for us all to hang out and have our hotel staying relatives to come sit with us and watch the kids play on the kayaks and paddle boards. It was a beautiful location and super hosts who were so helpful!

The lake house was very nice and spacious! The air conditioning doesn’t cool all the rooms in the house. The dock was great and the view was beautiful!

Family Girls getaway

House was very clean and easy to access. Beds very comfortable. Owner very responsive to question about heat. Wish there was more living room furniture for group watching movies.

Otisco Lakeside Home

The house was obviously built with quality in mind. It was perfect for our extended family. The 3 full bathrooms had been recently renovated, the beds were comfy, the porch cozy - even on a rainy day, kitchen very well equipped and the lakeside fire pit offered memorable evenings under the stars.

We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor area is great, lots of shade and flat yard for games. The fire pit is great and the chairs on the dock are a nice touch. We would recommend a boat if you want to swim, swimming off the dock is not ideal. There are lots of weeds but nothing the host can really do about it. The house is a great layout, kitchen is fully stocked. The week we were there was incredibly hot. There is a window AC unit upstairs but it doesn’t really cool the room across the house upstairs. So the upstairs bedroom was hot and the master downstairs was comfortable enough but warm. The bed in the room off the living room was incredible, very comfortable . Air conditioning in this room was great. Lots of parking available. We had a great week and would recommend with the caveat that a boat is essential to swim out in the middle of the lake.

Clean well maintained. Just right for 6 little ones. Only negative was that a washing machine and dryer was listed as being available However they were locked in the garage. With the little ones they were definitely needed

Just what we needed.

We stayed at this property during SU alumni weekend with some other SU parents since all the hotels were booked up. This place ended up being the perfect place for us to relax and hang out together after a long day. It was clean and quiet and had all the amenities needed. The check in/ check out process was easy. The property owner was informative and easy to communicate with. We would definitely rent here again.

Football weekend getaway

My family stayed at this beautiful lake house during the weekend of the ND vs. SU football game. The house had plenty of room for the 12 of us. The gorgeous views of the mist on the lake greeted us each morning. We enjoyed the lake view while sitting outside on the deck while our kids played outside in the spacious yard. A fabulous time had by all!

Lake

The deck area was wonderful. Disappointed with lake. Bedrooms need nicer furniture however beds were very comfortable. Could use more seating in living room. House was very clean and the windows were amazing. Beautiful dining room and well equipped kitchen.

Thanks for your feedback, Nancy. This was unfortunately one of our driest summers in years: all of the lakes in this area had record low water levels. We were equally disappointed about this, as Otisco is otherwise well-known for great swimming and boating. While lake conditions are beyond our control, we try our very best to ensure our property and home exceed expectations so I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed what we *could* control! Noted on your feedback, though as other reviews reflect, guests have typically appreciated the light, modern and airy design of the bedrooms and home. All beds and furniture are less than a year old, but we'll look into your suggestion!

Just what we needed

Victoria was a fantastic host. The property was perfectly decorated, clean, and stocked with everything one might need. We had such a lovely time on the lake kayaking, fishing, and rowing. Coffee on the porch and fires at night were highlights for sure. Victoria was responsive throughout our stay and provided us with fantastic dinner and activity recommendations. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing comfortable vacation. Thank you!
