In addition to the large open family area, the home offers a large covered area beneath to include a screened gaming area with full size slate pool table/ping pong table combination. The area also has a large charcoal grill and double enclosed showers. Rental period is from Saturday to Saturday.

Linens are NOT provided (sheets, pillow cases and towels). Edisto Essentials is a reliable source for your linen needs (843.869.0951).

Our favorite place to stay

This is our second time staying at Sweet 16 and we will definitely be back. The location is perfect, the owner quickly responds to questions and the house is amazing!

Amazing Stay

Wonderful trip

This home offers such great space, both inside and out. Our family had a great vacation. Our first visit to Edisto was wonderful!

Wonderful Edisto Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sweet 16 for our Edisto Beach vacation. The house was exactly as advertised and John made our reservations, preparations, and stay hiccup free. We will be back and can't wait.

Great sunsets. Convenient location

Enjoyed staying at this house. LOVE the spacious screened back porch with the killer sunsets! The screened in ping pong/pool table area was excellent as well. Nice easy or walk straight path to mkthe beach. The house met our needs. Responsive owner. Thank you so much!

Great time

Sweet 16 was great. This is our second year staying and it was just as wonderful as the first. Easy walk to the beach. Plenty of space to move around with kids. Beautiful view of the sunset over the salt marsh. Everyone enjoyed the pool and ping pong table. John is a great host. So very helpful with questions about the house as well as the island. We hope we can stay again in the future.

Better than expected

This hasn't happened very often when we have rented a house: the actual house was better than the photos! It was spacious. The little ones were only with us for a couple of days and the layout of the house and the screened in porch worked beautifully for all of us. We loved having the marsh behind us. We watched the cranes, birds, saw a deer and just admired the changing colors as the sky was reflected in the water. The room below was a nice addition and the two outside showers made beach cleanup easy. The beach really is a very short walk away. It was a great vacation house/location.

Great relaxing family trip to the beach!

Our family had a wonderful time on Edisto Island staying at Sweet Sixteen. The house was roomy for two families to share together. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, bowls, cups cooking utensils, plates and the dish washer made it easy clean up. We cooked all but one meal and it was very easy to do with what was provided to use. The beds were very comfortable. Our little kids enjoyed riding their bikes under the house and we parked on either side of the drive. The walk to the beach was easy even with a 3 and 4 year old. The sunset view from the back porch was wonderful as described. Mr. John was an excellent resource to answer any questions we had since it was our first trip to Edisto. Our family hopes to go back again next year and stay at Sweet Sixteen. Thank you Mr. John for sharing your home with us.

Hands down one of our favorite places on Edisto. Our first time staying on the marsh side and it did not disappoint. The sunsets on the porch were amazing. Bike path right next to the property and a short walk to the beach. The owner is so nice and gives all kinds of recommendations for food and fishing spots if you get the pleasure to speak to him. We would definitely stay here again.

It was very clean and appliances worked good. Disappointed there’s no gas grill and it could use a toaster. We did enjoy the big, back screened in porch.

Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for no toaster. One was on the counter when we last stayed at our house in May. I’m hoping it was put up by the house keeper. We will ensure a toaster is available for future guests. Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Our listing notes we have a charcoal grill at the base of the fireplace under the house (grill picture is shown in the listing). We do not provide a gas grill. Again, thanks for staying at our place and for your feedback.

Edisto beach experience

This house was an excellent choice; the distribution of the rooms was great for a family. The outside porch and game room make ours stay very enjoyable since we are outside people. The kitchen has everything you need so you don’t have to run to the grocery store right away. After all; I will recommend this house; location was incredible; just a short walk to the beach.

Spring Break 2022

Perfect house for our family. John is great! Everything you need is there, even plenty of kitchen towels. We especially enjoyed the back porch at sunset over the marsh. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Location

We would buy this house if we could! The house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the layout. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The view is amazing! Sitting on the porch watching the wildlife is so amazing. We saw deer, a bald eagle, hawks, and even a mink! We fished in the creek and rented a canoe and were able to go out right in front of the house. It’s a very short walk to the beach. Everything was just perfect!

Outstanding

We definitely enjoyed our stay. The views was amazing. At night we were able to see deer from back porch. We spent a lot of time taking in the scenery. At the end of our stay. We didn't want to leave. If I could of bought the house. I would've of. Its the nicer of places I've stayed at edisto beach. The property owner was friendly and answered any questions we had. We definitely would love to stay again in the near future. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Thank you

Summer Fun

The house was wonderful-from being very well stocked, clean and roomy, to having a wonderful downstairs area equipped with a pool table/ping pong table, a cool smoker which we used as a grill, to two refreshing outside showers. It’s conveniently located to the ocean, restaurants, grocery store, and shops. Plus, watching the sunset on the screened porch is amazing. Finally, the owner is very responsive and accommodating. We will definitely return next year.

Sweet 16

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sweet 16! The location was excellent: just a couple of blocks walk to the beach with a marsh behind the house, which had the most amazing sunsets! The house had everything we needed. We cooked in most of the week and the kitchen was well appointed. It had enough seating in the living room and dining room for our family of six. My favorite spot was the back screened in porch. With the fans on, I could sit out there and just watch the tides come in and out on the marsh. Very relaxing! The pool table/ping pong table was a hit with our high school/college aged kids. It was so nice to see them disconnect from devices to play against each other and us. John was great! He called us on our arrival day and gave great tips for restaurants, and places to go fishing and crabbing.

Beach trip

We loved the house and the location was perfect. We let our children bring friends and was the perfect house for preteens since there was a pool/ping pong table. The screened in porch overlooking the marsh was our favorite after dinner spot.
