Find yourself amid the treetops in this beautiful, recently constructed custom home. Nestled away in a quiet hilltop neighborhood located just one mile from Alyeska Resort, this contemporary home provides the perfect setting for your Girdwood getaway.

Expansive windows feature unobstructed forest views. Enjoy an open and airy living and dining room with a 65" flat screen TV, and make yourself at home in a spacious and well-equipped kitchen. Just off the dining area you’ll find a deck with chairs and a grill. Grab a favorite book, settle in, and let yourself be lulled by the sounds of the forest and nearby Virgin Creek. Enjoy cozy radiant in-floor heat, WiFi, and a laundry room. Bedrooms are equipped with blackout blinds.

Indulge in the indoor hot sauna and outdoor hot tub!

The bottom level has its own small kitchen (with microwave and sink - no oven), queen bedroom, sauna, and comfortable area with a pullout couch and flat screen TV.

We welcome families! We have a collapsible travel crib and toys.

Other things to note
-Please note that this property is not available to host events unless prior approval (message host), and we allow no more than 14 guests on property at any time. There is an extra fee for events.
-Person making reservation and at least one person staying at the house must be age 25 or older.
-Sleeping arrangements: 9 guests can sleep in beds (2 queens in their own room, 1 queen and 1 twin in one room together, and 1 bunk bed), 2 guests can sleep on a queen air mattress, and 2 guests can sleep on a sofa queen bed in the basement.

Guests may not park RVs or trailers in driveway.

Due to the length and steepness of the driveway, guests should park on the street when snow or ice are present. The driveway is plowed following significant snowfall during the winter season.

There are no review since 2022 because the house was occupied full-time by the owners.

Girdwood paradise

New, clean and every amenity you could hope for. Perfect quiet spot, still close to the action, perfect for our family Christmas trip. Owner’s are fantastic and very accommodating. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Best New Years getaway!

This property was excellent for our group of 8. There was a big open living area for us all to be in, a bathroom on every level, and plenty of room for cooking for a big group. The hot tub was amazing and clean and the sauna was wonderful for relaxing. It was a short 5 min drive to the Alyeska resort and located close to dining and grocery stores. The property owner had excellent communication and answered all questions we had in a very timely manner. 10/10 recommend!

This crew has stayed everywhere for over 20 years.

This group of four 40-50 somethings has skied and stayed everywhere for over 25 years. Big Sky. Telluride. Park city. Beaver Creek. Alta. Niseko. Breck. Zermatt. Jackson. And others. All are very different. This house is solid. We all had our own space. And the together space on the top level with the modern kitchen and common living room was where we hung out. If you want to experience Alyeska and Girdwood we would all highly recommend this place. Very nice. Hot tub outside. Sauna inside. Very clean. Go to Girdwood brewing. Spoonline. And jack sprat. You’re close to the Iditarod trail too.

Wonderful property

We have stayed at many VRBOs and this one was the best furnished of any we have stayed. From the amazing kitchen to the small items such as the supplied soap and shampoo, this was a great home. Would stay here again!

This is an amazing property. The home is stunning and contains every amenity possible. The kitchen is well stocked with really high quality cookware. House has so much space and is perfectly laid out for a big group. It was a delightful stay !

Our family home away from home

Outstanding from check in to check out. The upstairs living area is very large and spacious, so it accommodated my entire extended family. Super clean and has everything you forgot to bring from home. The Property Manager was very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay at this home again.

Weekend Getaway

My family and a few friend spent the weekend here to get away from our homes for awhile. The back deck and BBQ grill are fantastic. We sat out there and talked for hours. Quiet neighborhood. We will probably go there again next year. A wonderful time was had by all!!!

What a perfect home nestled in the hemlocks! Extremely clean, well appointed, comfortable, well located and just an overall great home for family with plenty of room for everyone! Clean, Spacious, Private, Well-Furnished

Clean, spacious, private, well-Furnished, and nice location. The layout of the house is perfect for multi-family parties. Our party of 3 families found room to play music downstairs, work/study/sleep on the second level, and watch movies/play video games and cook upstairs all at the same time! Our group's ages were 14, 17, 20, 20, 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52 and we all had a complete blast! We hope to come back soon.

Wonderful stay

We had an awesome family stay at this Girdwood property. The location is ideal for both Seward, Anchorage, and some great local trails. The place felt like a tree house with its surrounding trees and the amenities were plenty. The kitchen and pantry were extremely well stocked and the internet was fast, which made work easy. I would not hesitate to return here if I were staying in Girdwood. If there were any feedback I would give the hosts it would be that the bunk beds should preferably be replaced with two twin size beds. The beds creaked a lot and are def not well suited for anyone outside of children under 12.

Amazing House

Wow, this home was wonderful. It was by far one of the cleanest properties I have stayed at, despite allowing pets, and everything looked brand new. Cute decor, comfortable, and lots of room! There are A LOT of stairs and three floors, so if you have bad knees it is probably not ideal. The manager was so nice, informative, and easy to get ahold of. You definitely feel like you are in the forest and when on the top floor it almost feels like a treehouse! The kitchen was awesome and had ample dishes and cooking supplies. The only thing that could possibly make it better would be a hot tub!

Very Nice Accommodations

This home is beautifully kept, impeccable and one of the best stocked homes I have rented as they really do a great job of making sure their guest have all of the supplies they need while staying there which was so nice. The only issue we had was parking. They ask if the driveway has snow or ice on it to park on the street for safety reasons however walking up the long icy driveway is far more dangerous than parking in the driveway closer to the house. When we got there the trucks were parked by the house to unload but after doing that it made more sense for them to be left there than on the street where the roads were very narrow because of the snow build up and us trying to walk up the ice covered driveway. Unfortunately the owner of the property (property management person was on maternity leave so we had to work directly with the owners during our stay) who has cameras and watches what is going on immediately sent us a message to move our vehicles out of the driveway or the other option was to check out the next day. It was a pretty extreme message to be sent! We tried to explain why we left the vehicles there and she sent another message telling us to move them or check out again! I must say we were all very taken back by this, we are all responsible adults, business owners there for a 10 day virtual conference and we really were not meaning to cause an issue so we asked if they would call us since it is easier to have a conversation than it is to message back and forth, after two request they finally consented to a phone conversation. Mr. Owner was nice enough and we explained we are from Alaska and know how to navigate the snow and ice issues and in the end agreed to allow us to use the driveway for two of our vehicles. We we parked the third vehicle on the street as requested however two of the neighbors did not appreciate us parking on the street and told us so. I'm not sure why this was issue and we certainly did not want to make anyone upset however it seemed the parking at this house is a no win situation. Once that was resolved the rest of the stay went fine. The home is delightful and again well equipped. I first gave them 4 stars because Mrs. Owners approach was extremely harsh however I own a VRBO home myself and I want to be fair and the house was a delight and guest will typically be dealing with the property management rather than the owners. Nice house, great conference. :-)
