A private beach boardwalk leads directly to the shoreline for fun-filled days splashing in the surf and relaxing on the sand. Back at home, the recently renovated space will make your stay feel complete. Enjoy new picture windows revealing the ocean view. You'll also love the brand new kitchen with new cabinets, appliances, and flooring. When you're not whipping up culinary chams here, spread out in the welcoming living room upgraded with a smart TV for movie nights. Each of the four bedrooms is equipped with a smart TV for more personal downtime. The bathrooms in this home have also been renovated and include new paint, flooring, vanities, and showers. Before the day's end, gather out on the sundeck and toast to a day well spent! Extra perks include central heating and air conditioning and an in-unit washer/dryer.

Great stay for a great value

We had a great stay at S.H.E. Shell! The best part was how close we were to the beach. We even let our young kids play on the beach while we sat on the porch. You'll want to make sure you bring your own beach toys and inside activities for a rainy day, but other than that the house had everything we needed. Holden Beach is great and this house is in a prime location.

Best beach stay Ever!

The location is excellent! We were only steps from the beach. The deck is perfect for sipping an early morning cup of coffee while watching the waves roll in. The open floor plan keeps everyone engaged and together. I love that everything we needed (pots, pans, utensils, blankets, towels, etc) was included. Internet was great. Netflix was great. We had a wonderful time and didn’t want to leave. Best Thanksgiving Holiday ever!

Beautiful house and location

The location was perfect. The house was very open and pretty. The huge living room window was my favorite! Very nice appliances. The ac worked better than any other beach house I've ever stayed in.

Nice house with problems

Good location but can hardly see the beach from the deck because of badly overgrown shrubs. The kitchen has small ants all over it. The mattresses in the two downstairs bedrooms are extremely uncomfortable. I have back problems and the mattress killed my back. This could be a very nice beach house with these three problems corrected. Wll not rent this house again.

Location is amazing but house needs some TLC

House needs alot of love. Tile coming up around bar area which caused several tripping incidents. Refrigerator has a gap at top of door so condensation builds up and you have to soak the water up off the shelves. There also seems to be an ant issue .

Fun Place

Convenient to the bridge, on the ocean, nice cottage. Trimming back the bushes on the ocean side would be great. Our senior member doesn’t get any further than the porch so lower bushes = better view for her. Otherwise a nice place to stay, we’ll be back.

Property location was great. Wonderful views of the ocean. Plenty of room inside and out. The property could use a little TLC as stated in previous reviews. Not a deal breaker for us though. Would certainly stay here again.

SHE Shell She Rocks

SHE shell has an open floor plan with room for everybody. The oceanfront view is great and the proximity to the causeway makes it very accomodating for oh he k i forgot yhat moments.

A Pearl waiting to be polished

The S.H.E. Shell is definitely a pearl waiting to be polished. Because of this, it afforded us the opportunity to stay ocean front and experience all the joys and thrills of having the beach and ocean as our playground. The house could use some updates but it did not hinder our stay or the fun we had. If there was anything negative to say it would be about the beds and the deck chairs. First the beds are listed as 3 queens and 1 full. I feels as though these are more the older full/queen listing and not a true queen. Also there were complaints about rolling to the middle of the mattress. And now the deck chairs… there were 2 chairs that definitely needs to be put out as they have warped making the rockers extend backwards which means you sit in the chair and backwards to the floor you go. I’m just glad it wasn’t me (being older) and was my daughters boyfriend. Would I stay there again?!? Absolutely!! It was a great place at a good price and location was super!!

Great beach

The location of this house is great and the ability to access the beach directly on the walkway off the back patio is awesome. However the house and furniture is extremely dated. The couches and beds were very uncomfortable.

Relaxing Fall Days at the Beach

Six of us - Seniors to teen boys (Fall brake from school) Breeze on the beach with pleasant water. Sunsets were beautiful and relaxing. Enjoyed cooking and eating sea food as a family. Nice having the linen provided with ample large towels. Everything went smoothly - Thanks

Comfortable home, enjoyed beach front. Management, housekeeping, and maintenance were available immediately for any questions or concerns we had. Very well managed, will use Vacasa again any time we come to this area. Vacasa was very interested in having us enjoy our stay.

Needs repairs

Tubs drained very slowly. Reported it to vacasa but nobody came out to fix it. Had a water leak above the kitchen cabinets which caused mold in the cabinets with the dishes. This hone needs repairs. The porch was awesome. My father has mobility issues so he was able to sit on the back porch and watch out kids play on the beach.
