Horrible experience! Traffic made Beach far and property is neglected!
We rented this home bc it said the home was very close to the beach and it had a heated pool and hot tub. We paid and additional $50 a day to have a heated pool and arrived to a cold pool and no hot tub. Due to traffic it took 30 minutes or more to get the the beach. The home is not as pictured. The walls and trim are dirty, lightbulbs burned out, chairs broken, outdoor furniture loose and broken and the home just seemed very neglected. After arriving we let the host, Joe, know and sometimes he’d respond and other times he just wouldn’t. He finally sent someone for the pool two days before our trip was over but still the pool was cold and the hot tub would get pretty warm and then just turn off and cold water would come in. Halfway during our stay it rained and the power went out in our bathroom. We Immediately reported it to Joe and he said an electrician would be out but never ended up sending anyone. We reminded him several times that no one had been by and got no response. We literally had to shower in the dark with our cell phone flashlight turned on. Upon leaving he texted that he would give us a refund for at least the heated pool but no additional refund for the rest of our issues. Now a week after returning he refuses to refund us bc he said they had to get a new heater and it was expensive. I can’t imagine after fighting to get what we paid for in the first place to have it somewhat fixed two days before we left and he now refuses to refund us. I just can’t imagine doing business this way. Joe had the nerve to say if we rent from him again he may be able to offer a discount. Really Joe? That won’t happen. There is no way I’d have my family come to this home again.
