This quintessential fairy tale cottage is located in the heart of Del Mar Village. With its quaint white picket fence, rose hedge, and whimsically restored interior, this enchanting cottage was once featured in Better Homes and Gardens. Today, this cozy beach town getaway is equipped with everything you will need for your stay.

A wood deck off of the primary bedroom offers ocean views and opens onto a beautifully landscaped backyard with a large lawn, as well as fig and lemon trees. The outdoor shower is perfect to rinse and relax after a day at the beach. Additional amenities include:

This charming house is in the best location in Del Mar, very walkable around the city. We appreciated all the beach toys and amenities within the house. The beds were comfortable and the living room was well appointed for comfort. The WiFi works well ans tv options are great for when you’re not at the beach!

This is an ideal location in Del Mar on a quite street with an easy walk to the beach and to the restaurants downtown.

The house was a bit warm because of the unseasonable warm weather. The fans helped but since there were only a couple windows with screens, we did not open windows for outside air flow.The location is ideal, walking distance to everything.

Family Get Away

This home has been great for our family. We have stayed here before and we still love it. The yard is beautiful and fun for the kids. Its proximity to the beach is so convenient. Great place!

Great beach house

Gary’s house was everything we needed for our beach vacation. When we visit Del Mar again it will be our first choice.

Del Mar Get Away

This is the third time we have stayed at this home. We love the home, yard, proximity to he beach, and Sea World, Always a fun family get away.

Perfect location and home!

My family of 4 loved our stay in Del Mar at this sweet cottage. The location can’t be beat, the home is well appointed and cozy. We used the yard and outside shower and boogie boards, all details that made our stay fantastic. Close to restaurants and beaches. We hope to return!

The house was well stocked and very comfortable. We had the things needed to feel at home—like napkins! And soaps at the sinks! Great location despite having no view. Liked the deck. We sat there a lot. Clean. Easy check-in. Parking!

Perfect location!!!

We loved our stay at this really cute cottage. The house had everything we needed and was super close to our favorite beach in Del Mar. The kitchen is a cook’s kitchen, we enjoyed it very much. The beautiful gardens and proximity to the beach cannot be topped. We will be back!

Beautiful cottage in a great spot

Had a wonderful time. House is located in a great spot within walking distance to everything we needed, and so close to the beach. Cottage is beautiful and kept up pretty well. Wish we could have used the treehouse, but it needs some repairs and to be cleaned out. Overall, great experience.

We love this beautiful beach cottage! This was our second stay and we will definitely be back! Gary is a great host, he is fast to respond and provides all of the details we need. We love the boogie boards, beach chairs, chef’s kitchen, beautiful gardens, bbq, patio and laundry. My husband left a baseball hat on our last stay and it was there to welcome us. We love the location, and can’t wait to go back again!

Rose cottage

The kids loved the treehouse and swing. The warm outdoor shower was a novelty for them after a sandy beach adventure. The best part was that they could walk everywhere.

We really enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out were super easy. The house was very close to the beach and shopping. Ceiling fans in at least 2 rooms helped on warm days. The house was clean and had everything we needed, including things for the beach. Loved the outdoor shower. That was a huge bonus. Our host was helpful in his communications to us. We had a great vacation and would stay here again.

Turning 60 with friends

The Beach House is in an absolutely wonderful location in Del Mar, a two minute walk to amazing coffee at Little Joy followed by a cool, quiet morning walk along Del Mar Beach. Gary is a great host, available and responsive.

Love This Fairy Tale Cottage !

This adorable fairy tale cottage is the perfect fit for our family. (My husband, myself, our teenage twin granddaughters and our little dog) We're repeat guests and would love to spend every spring break here! We love it that much! A nice little break from the Colorado snow. The location is perfect, with nice private driveway, close to parks, beach, shopping and dining. We only used our car twice in the week, to go to the market. The Cottage is very well maintained, with a warm, homey feel. Beautiful kitchen for cooking, deck for eating, reading and sunning. The garage has everything needed for a fun day at the beach. Laundy in basement was handy. We consider it our perfect getaway place! The Lallier Family

What a charming and unique home. The photos don't do justice! The interior has so many original features and built ins and the detail and craftsmanship is impressive. People walking by would stop every day to comment or ask about the home. The location is easily walkable to all the shops and restaurants just a half a block to the east and the beach a block to the west. Having parking in this coveted neighborhood made it easy to leave the car and walk all week and my pup enjoyed the huge grassy yard. The garage had beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, etc available. Especially enjoyed the enclosed outdoor shower! Would love to return sometime - it was a great week!

Thank you, Gary and family, for sharing your beautiful cottage with us. I’m almost hesitant to write this review because I don’t want to let the secret out! It was peaceful, quiet, beautifully appointed, and had everything we needed. Evenings in the yard, beneath the blossoming pepper tree and the glow of the moonlight, felt absolutely magical. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean each night was pure bliss. We’re so grateful for such a relaxing getaway and can’t wait to return. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality! Fall Break

Home is in a great location. Walk to the beach, great restaurants and some shopping. We all enjoyed our visit to DEl Mar!
